Congratulations. This bike can be very mellow and mild-mannered when you want it to be in B mode and crazy, stupid fast when you when you put it in A mode.
This video is so awesome to watch man! I remember when I took delivery of my blue 2022 model - it was my first ever bike lol. When i got it off the pallets (it was delivered by boat) and started it up, I remember thinking "oh god what the fuck am I doing?". Like I was scared of the bike. Not surprised you stalled, the clutch is crazy grabby when the bike is brand new. I gotta tell ya, I really love this bike a lot. I cannot fathom how it hasn't sold better, considering how crazy much bike you get for your money. I guess the people looking at that price range are looking at the MT-09s, and the people looking at the bikes that are actually similar to this like the MT-10 have enough money where they just want more horsepower and more features. What has struck me after two years of ownership is this: - The bike is crazy high quality. I have a Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE 24' and while the QS on that bike is nice, its lumpy as hell compared to the Suzuki. Ducati says not to use the quickshifter below 3k rpm or 30km/t, and I usually use the clutch going from 1-2 and 2-1. The Suzuki on the other hand doesn't give af, you can always use the QS, no issues. The Ducati might do some hickups when starting from time to time, the Suzuki is always starting up instantly. - Due to the tall gearing and inline four characteristics, and maybe due to the weight of the bike, it may lull you into a sense of security. Hell, you might even find it "boring" if you develop a habit of short shifting it or just ride it around town in really low zones. But once you find the right roads and speeds for it, this bike is incredible. I already mentioned that changing tires matters a lot on this bike, so I'll add that as a caveat. But the handling in corners, oh man. Its incredible. The Hypermotard is crazy agile and awesome for city riding, but once you hit winding roads the Suzuki is king. This bike is like riding on rails. Incredibly stable yet easy to ride. And the engine and riding experience is just so fantastic, with the QS+blipper, the instant throttle response and handling characteristics. And the power on this bike... Man, once you hit 7k+ RPM its like a twin turbo + vtec hits at the same time, the bike just flies like crazy. Its a shame the gearing is so tall, so you gotta find some high speed limits / risk your license to access the full experience on this bike. PS: Personally, I ALWAYS ride in A-mode + TC off, unless its cold and/or raining. - Lastly, I just want to say that this bike, had it been a Ducati, or if it had the exact same HP + rider experience but had some gimmick like a supercharger or whatever, would sell like hot cakes. Don't let people knocking the dash, the headlight or the fact that its a "parts bin" motorcycle impact how you feel about the bike. Its incredible, and its quadruple incredible considering the cost. This bike just works. Its the complete package for urban + twisties + shorter touring.
@@k1mura92 damn this is the longest comment ever lol yes I agree with you man. This bike has been great so far. So much confidence in the Twisties after getting the suspension tuned.
@@JagMoto636 LOL sorry man, something came over me. My passion for my cute little Robot monster bike got out of hand. I think I wrote all that stuff cause I know once the new toy effect has worn off, you might start wondering if the Suzuki is the right bike etc. I mean I got that feeling mostly because of the tall gearing, so I bought the Hypermotard. And they're different enough bikes to where I get to enjoy them both, but the Hypermotard - while certaintly the more exhilerating bike for urban use - has made me realize just how incredible the gixxus is. And when I've ridden other bikes then hop back onto the Suzuki, it just strikes me how surgical this thing is. So well made, so solid and sure of itself. And so incredibly easy to ride. Fools you into thinking its sterile or even boring. But this bike just really, really loves to be at high af revs or doing corners fast and confidently. Uh oh I wrote another homework assignment. Sorry lol. Thanks for the videos man, subbed!

love mine! highly recommend to have a suspension tuner set the suspension for you it makes a world of a difference, rode it stock settings for the first 10k miles and finally had it all adjusted properly, whole different bike!
I rode one of these at a demo last year in AZ and I thought I would hate it, I ended up walking wanting to buy one lol. Im a little tall for it but it still was decent enough for me to get to have a good time for an hour or 2.
I just bought mine last month and at 1st, I hated the look of the machine but once you give it a try, you forget about it and it puts a huge smile on your face. This thing is so much fun it is ridiculous! IMO the best bang for your buck in this sports naked category! This thing is fast too! 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 sec (this would be 2.7 sec 0-60 miles/h) faster than the hypersports (S1000RR etc.). In Paris, France, it retails at 13.7 k euros...the latest Super Duke R is twice this price as a comparison...The KTM is a nicer machine but maybe 15% better max...not 100% better and don't even get me started on the reliability...with the sookie, you know it will be 0 issue.
First thing I would do is get myself a little wind deflector if they have something out for this model yet . Congrats on the bike , can't go wrong with Suzuki . You're very wise to take it easy , these bike can go to nearly 200 mph in less time than putting your helmet and gloves on . Ride safe
@@JagMoto636 if ever you see one that you like the look , get it . If you're planning on touring at all . Makes a world of a difference even if it only takes the wind of your chest . Just my 2 cents , enjoy the bike .
@@JagMoto636 Agreed lol. I think windscreens on bikes like this totally ruins the look and hell, even the feel of the bike. If I wanted wind protection and panniers I'd bought another bike lol
Hell yeah! Such good value with this bike. Insurance was boning me or i prob would have got this instead of my XSR 900. Enjoy! Naked is the way to go imo.
Great bike, sounds good and easy to ride! Just don't understand why Suzuki haven't update to the new dash that is on the GX/GT models and added cruise control (at last as an option).
I leave mine in "B" mode, traction control 1(unless it's raining then I turn it up higher) and abs on. You can ride this bike all day and not be sore like a supersport.
I love mine. Bought it brand new in April '23 with 3 miles on it. I added an air filter, velocity stacks, full exhaust and get an ecu flash. It wakes the bike up so much. Done a few cosmetic mods too. I'm about to add some 2007/08 gsx-r1000 cams and get Supersport. I definitely recommend Racefit Growler slipon and Black Widow header. I get compliments on it all the time.
@@Ripfire777 more comfortable,WAY MORE torque, higher speed is a little rough with no wind protection, but still so much fun. I prefer the backroads anyways. The torque is just INSANE lol
