The only fragility of microSD over standard is just that, any physical breakage of the card. Just as reliable, keep it in the camera and forget about it.

I love (love!) my Zf. But for faster-paced events / for me, my Z8 is such a better choice. They both have their use case of course. Can the Zf handle things? Yes! The Z8 just does it better / faster / with more control options (banks, buttons). In addition to be being much more comfortable to hold for longer sessions. They both excel in different ways 😎
I've had a full size SD card (Samsung) fail in my Fuji xt20 , but the chances of both failing at once would be almost immeasurably low as you point out.
It would be cool if nikon added user settings in the quick menu. Since you don't have the dials, it's something that can definitely be added in firmware
I’ve just tried that rich tone setting and it’s perfect for events and loving the colours it produces. I’d normally never mess with film simulation settings but well impressed. Didn’t even need to do much tweaking on LR either to get my desired edit look. Thanks for recommending 👌🏼👊🏼
I know several professional shooters using old cheap Canon bodies and absolutely killing it...making $100k+ a year so yeah, any camera can be used professionally.
Love this. I mostly do high volume school band headshots, and when the x100v came out, I got it the day of release. I shot an entire school year book the next week with it just as a test. I actually sold more prints from that particular school than I ever have with another camera. I still use my xt2 as my main workhorse, shooting far less now though, but want to get the Nikon for the better focusing. My assistant mostly does the shooting for me now since I started a cleaning business that is taking much more of my time.
I love rich tone portrait too! Love having it on the Z8. Am I crazy, or does it not show up in Lightroom with the Z8 profiles? I’ve been using NX studio for it…
Im not a professional photographer so I have different considerations. Id love full frame camera that looks retro but that thing seems massive. Im waiting for a full frame in the body of an APS-c body.
I think you just sold me on the zf. I’ve been shooting Fuji since the xt2 and waiting for a full frame camera. I contemplated switching back to canon but I absolutely love the old film like dials. I learned photography on an old Nikon em camera with 50mm lens. I think the choice now is to drive now or wait until tomorrow to pick it up lol. By chance can the old 50mm lens from the EM work without an adapter?
Hello Omar :) As always, great video, thank you, great job ;) I wanted to ask one thing, what should I do to make the reach portrait profile visible in Lightroom? I use Nokon Z8. I will be grateful. if you find a moment to help me. Regards Chris

Nicely explained. I am planning to have Zf but I struggled with Z7ii with high noise with on camera flash in indoor lighting in raw photos. JPEG was great. I don’t want to de noise all noise raw photos. How about in Zf regarding noise level. Thank you
Since SD cards, especially micro SD cards, are slower than CFexpress cards I think this would be perfectly fine for slower event shooting. Situations in which you don't need to take lots of burst shots and when it's fine that writing to the card takes a little longer. Actually, yesterday I went out and forgot my CFexpress card. All I had was the 64gb SD card I keep in my Z7 II as an emergency backup for this exact situation. It took WAY longer to clear the buffer but at the end of the day it all worked out. My only concern was the size of the card since I mainly shoot animals in larger bursts. I was able to make it work but I was still a bit nervous about filling the card completely...
On the Z8/9 you have Recall Shooting Functions, which can be set to a single button press. Instantly recalls specific shutter, aperture, ISO, AF, fps, subject detection, and other settings. Game changer!

So there is no Z6III model coming. Likely to be another body like a Z8 variant a bit bigger than Z6II but slightly smaller than Z8 body with a much needed focus select button on side with fewer than pixels than the Z8 and outgoing older Z7II. Will be optimised for video, but will still be expensive like the Z8 prices. The new 45.7 MP Z8 is actually the Z7II replacement . -have some options for retro lens hoods.

-put a pasm dial on it.
