First let me say that I love your reactions! I am dying to see your reaction to Angelina doing Adele's All I Ask! Maybe you have already done it but I can't find it anywhere. In my opinion Angelina just keeps growing and getting better and better with age! Her voice today it magnetic in that when she is singing I cannot pull myself away! Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the best performances ever by anyone! All I ask is also off the hook!
Congratulations for reaction !!! 👋👋👋👋👋 I agree with you ..... Angelina is a phenomenon. This girl makes me cry ... she is a music genius. In my humble opinion, it is the great world discovery of recent years. She is already a legend at 14 years old. I love this young girl ... she is unbelievable !!!
I have been waiting so long for you to listen to this one, Maunalee! This is my favorit-est favorite from Angelina. It is so smooth, so beautifully delivered. I can understand that it may not be a "10" on everyone's scale. There is nothing flashy about it, no big notes, no tricky runs ...just a pure, clean, soothing vocal. IMO she stood there at 10 years old, and sang this song as well as it has ever been sung before... or maybe ever will be sung again. I can listen to this one over and over. It is really impossible to pick a "favorite" with Angelina, but if someone told me I could only keep one.... it's this one. I really think if you listen to this a few more times on your own, you are going to hear how incredibly good it really is. I bet by listen 3 or 4, you change you score to a solid 10 ;)
It’s not an easy song to sing. She sang it beautifully. Maunalee, the song was written by Cole Porter and has been covered by practically everyone who is anyone. Ella Fitzgerald. Lady Gaga. Natalie cole. Diana Krall, Ray Charles (in the soundtrack for remake of the Parent Trap). Too many to list
Agreed! I think this song needs to be listened to several times. For me, I was having the same reaction as Maunalee, but only the first time. After several listenings, this song stands out as one of her absolute best performances (and it's just not possible to pick only one, as there are so many good ones).
Rusty Completely agree with you. But your suggestion to Maunalee is pointless. She claims to have far more musical expertise than she has demonstrated. I have found many of her comments on AJ's musical techniques to be uninformed, wrong, even absurd. She is not the music critic she thinks she is.....After I heard she was charging up to $75 to do a reaction, I quickly unsubscribed from her channel.
@@103mrg I think Maunalee is making videos that people are watching, that in itself gives merit to the work she is doing. She has never claimed to be a music expert, only someone that was in radio (which is true), so she shouldn't be held to the standards of getting the techniques and lingo right the way someone that is claiming to be a vocal coach would be. As far as the $75... you have to keep in mind that when Maunalee started this channel, she ran into the copyright wall that many run into with reaction videos. Lots of other channels have moved to patreon, kofi, and other services to help fund the work they do an allow them to continue to produce content. Maunalee started out with very reasonable pricing, but she got so many requests at that pricing that she could not keep up. Her raising her prices up, was not a "I'm worth more" statement, it was a "slow down!" statement. She is providing a service that people want. If she is able to get a certain price for her videos, I don't think it should be held against her... she should be commended for producing the content that would cause someone to pay that price. BTW: these are just the opinions of an observer... I have no affiliation with Maunalee. When I read that back it sure seems like I might be related to her or something :P
I read that this was Angelina's farewell to Norway, for a while. Later that day she flew off to live in L.A. for a time. This performance is one of my favorites.
This was a ten-year-old girl showing the world on national Norwegian television how to sing this song. Absolutely beautiful and perfect. She even played to the cameras a little.
"Every Time You Say Goodbye" was written by Cole Porter in 1945. The definitive version of it was done by Ella Fitzgerald in 1956. Angelina has stripped everything away to expose just her astounding voice. She uses virtually no ornamentation that would interfere with the purity of her tone. The beauty of the phrasing is the extended line (first on D then on F) which, at that tempo, is immensely hard to sing and takes unbelievable breath control. Angelina has sung some songs that are virtual masterpieces and, in my opinion, this is one of them. Thanks to you and Charlotte for another great reaction. Keep up the ones with Angelina, please!
Need Angelina to listen to the 'sister' song recorded by Jimmy Beaumont of The Skyliners. It is 'I'll Be Seeing You' and this girl would take it to a level not seen since Jimmy's version.
It's a nice and calming song to listen to her sing. No big notes, no riffs or runs but relaxing and that is all I am looking for sometimes. Also if anyone says they love every song of someones I call "B$". I don't "Love" every song she does but every song she sings she is excellent at. there are songs of AG i think she does a great job at but just not my type of music no matter who sings it. Some of her early music isn't always perfect but looking at her and her age it is remarkable what she is able to do and adding in her interpretation of a song is mastiful. I think AG is the best femail (and maybe even male) singer in the world right now. The variety of her music, her original voice, and her interpretation of the songs she covers is better than anyone around right now! if she decides to keep singing she will be bigger tan a superstar she will be one of the greatest singers of all time!
Come on Maunalee! You gotta' up your musical history game! This was practically Ella Fitzgerald's theme song. And it was written by Cole Porter so lyric wise I think you really need to give it a second listen. To me the lyrics aren't just about 2 lovers. The song is about any one we love going away. I think if you looked up the word separation in the dictionary, they'd have a picture of this song. It's a jazz classic and if you don't like it well listen to it a few hundred more times until you do and it becomes a lifetime favorite 'cause trust me girl, it will! Cole Porter is the Mac Daddy of jazz lyricists and if you can't dig him maybe jazz isn't your thing. But if you do want to appreciate the great American Songbook then you need to go back to the source. Let's face it, Ella can't be wrong!
Wonderful to see you reacting to Angelina again! I knew this song before but never gave it much attention. Actually this has never been my type of music... The truth is it became one of my favorites after listening to it through Angelina's voice! That's the impact this girl has on you. As usual, Charlotte steels the show!
Angelina, Maunalee and Charlotte all in one super cute package :) What a treat, hehe! Loved that. Angelina sang this before leaving for LA for a time, and so it was her way of saying goodbye to her home. I think it is one of her most moving performances. I'm left with a runny nose. A BIG shoutout to the guitar player here as well, fantastic technique and feeling. WOW!
You must listen to Ella Fitzgerald sing this, then the realization is how absolutely magnificent this 10 year olds voice is, Ella Fitzgerald people, Ella.
Thank you for this reaction to Angelina. For me it is one of the best performances she has given to date. I first heard it at the age of 15, in 1946. Charlotte has very mesmerising eyes. It was a battle as to which of them, Angelina or Charlotte, would release me first :-)

One of my favorite Angulina Jordon covers. Song for a is even better
That performance is perfection. Not perfection for a ten-year old. Just perfection. Trying to analyze why it’s perfect just takes away from the simplicity and beauty of the performance. Just listen and be taken back to another era. Even we fans who know how amazing Angelina is sometimes take her for granted. The nuances, slides, octave changes, and pace of this song are handled so effortlessly by Angelina, but this is not an easy song to sing. Her stylistic maturity is hard to believe. We can actually make comparisons of this performance to Ella Fitzgerald’s. Angelina’s vocal toolbox seems limitless.
Love your reaction, This is in my top 20's for Angelina. Hmm, I keep saying that lately maybe I have more than 20 in my top 20. Hi Charlotte love your hat, you are always so cute
You look so pretty without bangs. Your daughter is as cute as a button! Old fashioned saying lol but she’s darling and she looked as serious as you did!
Hi, a 9.5 come on just because you did not like the song you got to grade it how she presented it and the voice just smooth and the little smile just beautifully done I love it your daughter was right! Thank you for your reaction!❗💜
I really hate rating singers and it is why I mostly stay away from this channel I just think it is so pretentious for a reactor to think they can rate a singer. Appreciate them for who they are, comment on what they do, and just enjoy. Quantifying a performance just takes away from the experience. Reductionist when appreciation should be the goal Maunalee could learn from 18 year old reactor Alyiah Capili (spelling?) who always has a very humble disclaimer that she is not an expert, but that her reactions are a way for "me to appreciate performers." You might try putting on that attitude Maunalee.
As usual I love your review and wholeheartedly agree I would be interested in your opinion on You make me feel so young. My 8 ball said I would love it - spot on !!!
Our angel is fantastic but we all like different songs. You’re honest as always, much appreciated - very good reaction. I like that Charlotte gives her own mark, not just the same as you.
I grew up listening to these songs. I suppose that makes a difference. I have never heard it sung better. She just seem to connect with the past somehow.
I LOVE this song and find it to be one of her best!!! Didn't think she could outdo Ella Fitgerald on this, but imho she did!!! Cole Porter wrote this. Yep......retro!!!
Thanks for coming back to Angelina. It's been a while. Her version of this song, made famous by Cole Porter and Ella Fitzgerald was spot on with Ella's performance. You should check out this mash-up, side-by-side comparison of Ella's original recording and Angelina. It matches absolutely perfectly and is remarkable how her voice blends into Ella Fitzgerald's. Ella performed this song at the same cadence and style. th-cam.com/video/U_uSOa7uM8k/w-d-xo.html.
If you can't appreciate the subtle perfection, which is what Cole Porter intended when he wrote it, you should stay with listening to modern music. Having not taken the time to even having listened to Ella Fitzgerald's version, tells me all I need to know about you. Angelina's version is the new standard that will live on for this classic.
That song is a classic from Years gone by. You don't have to like the song to appreciate Angelina's wonderful qualities. You don't have to even like the song. You just appreciate it along with her.
I have heard the reactions of opera singers, vocal coaches and other professional musicians to this and many of her other songs. The all agree, she is not a belter (though she can, if you watch her rendition of Whitney Houston's "I wanna run to you"), but they also agree her vocal mastery is incredible, she can modulate her voice to a wide range of songs, play with notes and melodies at will without any effort on her vocal chords. She not only has an exceptional versatility, she does it with care of her instrument. Her command of "negative spaces" (the space between words and sentences to allow for the listener to fully grasp the meaning, not just the sound) is artful and exquisite. If you listen to Ella Fitzgerald's version you will be amazed at really how well Angelina's rendition was. This is NOT an easy song to sing because of the key changes. And she did not miss a beat. This is one of those eternal songs that transcends generations. That being said, it is not a song for everyone, and you being a rocker, I can see how this song would be interesting, but not a favorite. I still love your reactions and thanks for sharing the family with us... it is a beautiful family. I have to go back and see the one reaction you did with that lucky man who you agreed to marry. He must be a great person. Kudos Maunalee (which sound more like a Hawaiian name than middle eastern.
Thanks alot for a fair and honest reaction video! As a retro fan, you should really do a reaction on Angelina’s rendition of I rather go blind, by Etta James. Mind-blowing!
@@ТвояУдача-п6л I'm pretty sure you're referring to Maunalee. Is that right? But others reading this could easily think you're talking about Angelina. Please edit if I'm correct.
Hi Charlotte 8 ball broke down j/k I believe that this was played at one of the members of the Anglina Jordan Fan Club And its about leaving Oslo, Norway. Great Reaction Stay Safe
No problem with the kind of music you like. Taste is taste. I thought this was remarkable! A little girl who sounds as good as Ella. Amazing! It's been a minute since you reacted to Angelina. Good to see the two of you. Charlotte stole it with her 10.
Great News! Angelina just signed with Republic Records, Amy Winehouse's old recording company.. I am so happy for her, but i guess it will mean no more new cute rehearsals with Angie cutting up and make those cute faces we have come to love. Some of the faces she makes reminds me of Elvis, and it blows me away. I hope they did their homework, and realize that at age 14 she is already a star to untold thousands of fans.
Yes, her similarities to Elvis in so many ways is almost too freaky! Vocal ability, range, power, stage presence, charisma, sense of humor and fun, smile, laughter, his handsomeness & her beauty, facial expressions, hand gestures, versatility of music genres -- it's simply fascinating! Elvis may have "left the building" a long time ago, but I think Angelina just bought the building!
I would not call it a skyscraper because we have none in Norway. The tallest building we have is Oslo Plaza which is 117m/384ft. This was the old location of TV2 in Karl Johans Gate 14 in Oslo, I think it's a five story building, but that's a whole different story :)
I'm always ver6 anxious when you react to Angelina..I'm not sure you actually "get her"..but well done on this one..take care ladies )) ps..a little bit more research would give you a much more holistic experience..
Hi Charlotte, love your hat give each other big hugs for me please. Once again, love love love. Thank you Maunalee and hugs and loves your way❤❤ Gotta love Charlotte time🥰❤
This was Cole Porter's American Song Book. I believe Angelina was saying goodbye to Oslo, her home town, before leaving for the states. I'm sure one of the other AJ fans will either confirm or correct me.
She may have been leaving for the states, but I don't believe they actually moved here until 2018. This performance was in the summer of 2016, and posted by TV2 in 2017, according to the description on the original video.
A great and subtle song from the phenomenum that was Cole Porter... The subtlety of the key change when it says, "but how strange the change from major to minor"... Probably to subtle for the young people these days..
Hi there, your wee girl has a great smile. How's your Mom ? Good to see you back with A J, i'm hoping you will do more. Always a 10 from me, but I get where your coming from. Thank you. Take care.
I'm happy to see you back reacting to Angie, I fig you weren't doing anymore Angie, for it's been a long time. (some of us don't & or can't get Patreon) so we can only put in Angie links here on TH-cam. That was a nice reaction & the 2 of you look all pretty today.
Angelina is 10 in this video. She matches Ella Fitzgerald note for note. If there's doubt, go here and view this mash-up with Ella. th-cam.com/video/U_uSOa7uM8k/w-d-xo.html. Any time a 10 year old can match a legend, well, that's something else. Based on previous comments of Angelina's fans, I know for a fact this is one the most favorite performances. It's simply gorgeous. Thanks for coming back to Angelina, it's been a long time.
It's in my Top 5. Still can't believe that at 10 she can sing with such restraint. Such a simple but beautiful song. I'm a Cole Porter (1935) fan, and Ella (1956) covered it in Cole Porter's American Song Book. When pa did the mash up, he had to use special software to slow Ella down so that the vocals would match. That's what I mean by restraint. Angelina let's the song possess her. And that's why someday she will be the greatest jazz vocalist ever.
An Ella Fitzgerald song from 1944. It was used in Parent Trap and sang by Ray Charles. (1998) The best version is when Angelina sings it at age 10. How good is this young lady going to get?
I know. I don't get it either. Maybe it's all the air. You feel like your breathing it with her. How do you look at that face and feel the pain in some of the songs she sings? Let her sing the Ihop menu. I'll listen.
Every time we say goodbye is one of those songs from the last century, which has it's fans, but it's really not for everyone. I much prefer her "Autumn Leaves" and even "Here comes the Sun" although i'll confess that having children from all over the world say "Sun" in their own language, may have had something to do with that one. In terms of vocal ability I'd have to say "The show must go on" is perhaps her best, but "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the arrangement she created, is hard to beat. Let's face it, how many artists can sing both versions of "All of me" and kill both of them?
I absolutely love your little girl. She is so into it.
That's a true reaction. Watching Charlotte's soul get sucked in by Angelina's voice.
Beautiful composition and impecable voice. Gorgeous
I believe 9.5 is generous but i feel the same

Uhhh...Cole Porter? Iconic songwriter, iconic song? Iconic singer, beyond doubt.
great to see you both again, as always, great reaction
Thanks alot for a fair and honest reaction video! As a retro fan, you should really do a reaction on Angelina’s rendition of I rather go blind, by Etta James. Mind-blowing!
You may have heard of the singer who popularized this song-her name was Ella Fitzgerald (you could look it up).
What ever happened to all those great artists? Oh that's right, they're all inside Angelina.
She doesn't love anyone except dollars
@@ТвояУдача-п6л I'm pretty sure you're referring to Maunalee. Is that right? But others reading this could easily think you're talking about Angelina. Please edit if I'm correct.
Hi Charlotte
8 ball broke down j/k
I believe that this was played at one of the members of the Anglina Jordan Fan Club
And its about leaving Oslo, Norway.
Great Reaction Stay Safe
The few you don’t love, you just need to relisten until you get it!
your mini-me, Charlotte is utterly adorable!!!
Angelinas Stimme und ihre Art Lieder zu interpretieren berühren mein Herz. 😍
No problem with the kind of music you like. Taste is taste. I thought this was remarkable! A little girl who sounds as good as Ella. Amazing! It's been a minute since you reacted to Angelina. Good to see the two of you. Charlotte stole it with her 10.
Try 'If you go away" enhanced version for better volume. We treasure your daughter!
I believe That was part of a farewell performance when her family left Norway and moved to the States.
The tempo was a little slower than the versions I have heard before... She did a remarkable job.
AJ did a beautiful redemption of this cover !!!!
On top of skyscraper in Oslo Norway !!!!
I would not call it a skyscraper because we have none in Norway. The tallest building we have is Oslo Plaza which is 117m/384ft. This was the old location of TV2 in Karl Johans Gate 14 in Oslo, I think it's a five story building, but that's a whole different story :)
She is awesome singing a Cole Porter song.
The song was from the 50's by Ella Fitzgerald. Angela can really strip it down to the essence and deliver the raw emotion.
I'm always ver6 anxious when you react to Angelina..I'm not sure you actually "get her"..but well done on this one..take care ladies )) ps..a little bit more research would give you a much more holistic experience..
Charlotte is just sooooo adorable!
Hi Charlotte, love your hat give each other big hugs for me please. Once again, love love love. Thank you Maunalee and hugs and loves your way❤❤ Gotta love Charlotte time🥰❤
Hi Charlotte love your hat !!!!
Oh Charlotte😍
❤️ your reaction 👍😊
The reviewer doesn't know the song and doesn't like it; but she likes her jacket. Isn't there something else she could be reviewing?
This was Cole Porter's American Song Book. I believe Angelina was saying goodbye to Oslo, her home town, before leaving for the states. I'm sure one of the other AJ fans will either confirm or correct me.
She may have been leaving for the states, but I don't believe they actually moved here until 2018. This performance was in the summer of 2016, and posted by TV2 in 2017, according to the description on the original video.
@@rotorhead-fy7nc thanks
@@rotorhead-fy7nc She was stopping in to do that song before going to airport she has family in Los Angeles I believe where she later moved .
@@GregPourciau Yes, that was my point. She was going to the states, but didn't actually "move" there until 2018.
ist vieleicht ihr größter fehler in die vereinigten staaten auszuwandern
I don’t know why you bother with that ball, especially when you have those amazing goosebumps. So fun.
is not a song that will close a concert but technically Angelina does an excellent job.
Charlotte is so adorable and her mother is adorable as well :)
Thank you.
Take care.
Great reaction as always 🙏🙏👍👍💙💙 Charlotte had goosbuhm 😁😁
The songs from world war UI. Women used to send this record to their men overseas.
@@wajj1842 Yes, pa told me how he had to slow it down. He's really a magician.
:-)) Love
An Ella Fitzgerald song from 1944. It was used in Parent Trap and sang by Ray Charles. (1998) The best version is when Angelina sings it at age 10. How good is this young lady going to get?
I know. I don't get it either. Maybe it's all the air. You feel like your breathing it with her. How do you look at that face and feel the pain in some of the songs she sings? Let her sing the Ihop menu. I'll listen.
A classic Ella Fitzgerald song, and she covered it to perfection I could hear Ella channeling.
Love Capricorns when there on the ball 🐦
You didn’t know this song! Have you heard of Ella Fitzgerald by any chance!
: )
Watch the massup with Ella. You can't tell when they switch.
This song was sung by the late great Ella Fitzgerald.
