We have the same amount of shop space for our electric bike shop but we have lots of outdoor space out front so we put our bikes out front when we open each morning and bring them in when we close for the day. It may not be practical depending upon your location but it's free advertising to have our bikes out front where people can see them as they drive or walk past our shop.
We are under 1,400sq ft. Room for 80-110 bikes for sale and 20 repair bikes. Our building is a little narrow and it's getting a little tight for a row on ebikes in the middle. I consider our shop on the small side for our needs, but that's OK because it prevents us from getting excess inventory. 100 bikes for sale is a little more than we need, but it helps during the summer rush.
Hi there, greetings from Germany. Love your work, videos and insights in the business. Maybe you can tell a bit about, how many people work in your shop (sales, repair,...) and so on. Looking forward for more videos 👍🏻
Very interesting! Your vids are very informative and full of great suggestions how to make a shop better. Pls make a video about your choose to one day have a employee - I guess your did the whole shabang quite a time, before go for a bigger team?
Yes certainly! The coming videos tackle more industry talk and pricing, operating strategies, but we will have a series on hiring and training in the coming months. We currently employ 3, but operated as a one man show for close to 3 years post garage.

Good advice all around, good luck man! I live in Italy and it sure resembles all the local bike shops here.

Interesting. It reminds me of the shops in Europe

Thanks for watching! We will tackle more hiring & training content in the coming weeks. Our shop employs 3 people (2 in sales, 1 mechanic)

Shop space? How about outer space? All the space you need. Wow space is a weird word.
