- The Supreme Court on Thursday blasted the Kolkata Police for its handling of the rape and murder of a 31-year-old woman trainee doctor at the city's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Justice JB Pardiwala, who was part of the three-judge bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, pointed out the laxity of the Kolkata Police.
"The entire procedure followed by your state is something which I have not come across in the 30 years of my life," Justice Pardiwala said during the hearing.
The bench, which also comprised Justice Manoj Misra, termed the delay by the Kolkata Police in registering the unnatural death case in the rape-murder of the postgraduate doctor "extremely disturbing". It questioned the sequence ad timing of the legal formalities conducted by the police, and said it was surprising that the autopsy was conducted on August 9 between 6.10 pm and 7.10 pm before the registration of the unnatural death case.

Witnessing the case being argued in the Supreme Court, it was very evident that we are not going to see any result. How could the court permit a senior lawyer to laugh at such a serious matter? I live 15 minutes away from RG kar hospital and I have been there to visit an aunt a long time ago, I used to go there 3-4 times a week to play football and cricket with a few friends and we loved to have tea and samosas and we never felt such horrific fear before. But all of a sudden all this. I a ashamed to even be here as a human. My friend who lives there near by is no longer there, she is scared to be there with her mother, they left nd went somewhere their calls are not going through, we cannot understand if something terrible happened to the or not but we can't even go to the police, ther neighbours and even I have zero respect for the police now. Chi, only a demon or monster is able to do such a huge thing, and how is it just 1 person ?

I am shocked with the actions of so called authorities and the investigators and the examiners and with the drama being staged every moment.
A big unasked question! Does the accused look like (even though a look can anytime be deceiving) a serial killer and a serial rapist, who caught Abhaya accidentally, tortured her to death and left coolly within 45 minutes?
Is the accused such a master-mind to plan for the crime to funeral and to write the autopsy to the CBI reports, and to move the mobs of seven thousands to tamper the evidence - connecting with and controlling every piece in the process?
If he meets any of the above criteria shouldn’t he be the police chief or the CM/PM of any state/country?

No sir. The 150ml wasn't semen. It was some fluids (not sure wat fluid) . But it could hv been done that way to destroy the semen evidence. It could be ony 1 rapist with others involved in killing her

it is v worrying - West bengal govt, CBI and SC seems to be invol ved in cover up. There are possibly several culprits involved and autopsy report is forever changing. We seek dismissal of West Bengal govt, CBI and SC over this gruesome crime shd there be a cover up.
Why was there delay in letting the parents see the victims body,why did the principal not file and report the incident accurately. Also how can the postmortem done by the hospital at which place the crime was committed be taken as factual,how do we know that the ones conducting the postmortem was truthfull in their findings? Even camera footage can be manipulated nowdays?Also why would 7000 other people then come out to discourage protesters&attempt to destroy/contaminate the crime scene?None of this is making sense.
Also if CBI are relying on & using the Initial Kolkata postmortem to make a decision on whether it was gangrape then that postmortem will not show any evidence of more than 1 person involved because it was not conducted correctly from the onset,yes Sanjay Roy's DNA is matched but where there other DNA other than Sanjay Roy's or the victims found! The only way to truly rule out a gangrape is to have had another postmortem done which obviously cant be done now. Also what if that Criminal Sanjay Roy has been paid off to take the blame because he seems to comfortable with taking the blame& being hanged!
