If you did less sales talking and just a simple review without the lengthy talking you might get more views. Cutting out at least at least 5 min per video you might get more results. Just a thought.
Thanks mate, i'm always listening to constructive criticism and also noticed that some of my content goes on a bit to. The balance i'm trying to find is that i haven't created this channel for maximum views or as a job or anything. I'm just trying to give very detailed viewings and test drives of boats so people can save time and learn from this channel before they go and physically inspect a boat. However i also understand the algorithm needs to like me in order for the people to see these videos so your points are valid and well taken. Cheers
Most modern cats have a wave breaker on the hull under the bow. Why no wave breaker? It prevents hull slap when running at all speeds. Production cost cutting, hmmm? I heard these are made in China? True?
I didn't experience any hull slap and we were in big waves in this shoot. But it did send a pressure wave and spray out forward at times. I suspect that the original design with quite fine hull entry and decent clearance at the bow meant that someone decided that a wave breaker wasn't necessary? Yes China or Taiwan from memory and to be fair I think everyone wants to cost cut wherever possible. From what I saw on this boat the quality was very good.
Cauz it don't need it (in fact it would negate the entire design). The hull was developed decades ago by a builder on the Molokai Islands for a single purpose, Crossing massive swell Hawaiian channels at speed. Having crossed between Maui and Molokai on a new Molo cat from Aquilla as well as 20+ year old ones from original designer. I can safely say you need to experience this in such conditions to actually understand it.
I'm no angler that's for sure, but the up river exploration platform side of things does excite me very much.
