    Good things come to those who wait and this Nimbus is a real GOOD THING!!
    nimbus.se/ - The Brand
    www.sportsmari... - Aussie Dealers
    We've had a summer of rain and storms this year with La Nina so it was difficult to get this test drive organised but OMG Wow this boat is the real Sophisticated Adventure Boat!
    The extra displacement combined with the cutting bow and twin air steps gives the Nimbus a smooth and balanced feeling at the helm. She's not trying to throw you off your seat or accelerate faster than the competition and that's the point. This is a big boat with big dreams and she's not going to let anything stop her from giving you and your mates a great day. This T11 will be that reliable mate who always does what he says he will and is the perfect step up for so many boaters i think Nimbus has a winner in the T11.
    Join me for a drive and see what you think,
    Enjoy
    Dan Jones

    Another great video Dan, thank you. I’m interested to your your views on the Nimbus hull capability and handling in the bigger seas, versus the Axopar 37 hull in the same, please. Thanks.

      Both are excellent hulls so I don't have anything bad to say here. The Axopar if driven incorrectly will nose dive into the back of steep waves and you can get wet. Not dangerous as the water will spill out the back. The Nimbus is bigger and more substantial so if it's big seas you seek then get the Nimbus. Nimbus quality is also noticibly better in multiple areas. But the Axopar will always make you smile, they are truly a great boat to drive.

    Another great review Dan, personally prefer the overall usability and safety of the C11 you previewed. Also prefer the slightly higher freeboard on Nimbus compared to other Baltic rivals 👍

    How would you compare the ride to the 37 Axopar?

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      G'day Carl, a good comparison and i've personally done hundreds of hours on the Axopar 37 so i know it well.
      The Axopar is more sporty with faster acceleration, tighter turns and it activates your senses a bit more in terms of excitement. I don't believe the Nimbus is trying to be an Axopar. The first thing to understand it the T11 is SO much bigger in terms of volume and the quality level is higher, so it's not an exact comparison.
      Where the Axopar is using the cutting bow and air steps to aid in the performance the T11 does this too but the greater displacement is noticeable and makes the T11 much more stable. The T11 doesn't bank into turns as aggressively as an Axopar and the waves and swell have less of an affect on the T11 compared to the Axopar. Also at rest the T11 has a low centre of gravity which when combined with the extra beam is noticeable because it's very stable.
      These are both great boats so you really need to understand what your mission is before deciding. For example if you are looking for a very fast, smooth tender that you can drop people to the beach you may decide the smaller Axopar is perfect. Alternatively if you're thinking you want to spend the entire day on the boat with your family and invite other families for lunch onboard the Nimbus may be the better choice, and for overnights the Nimbus would also be the better boat without doubt.
      My final point - i actually think the Nimbus would suit someone who is also considering an expensive Med Day Boat like Pardo 38 or similar. Obviously the looks are not as horny as the Pardo but if you want that high quality, huge deck space, better performance and ultra practical the Nimbus will do all of this and for much less money. This is believe was part of the designers calculation when designing this boat and not Axopar.
      Hope that helps

      Thank you so much for the well thought out reply. You covered all the points perfectly. This will definitely be more of a family day boat with guests and the more I look at the Nimbus the more I believe it with be a great family boat and I personally love the looks of it.

      @@carlmorrison2152 good to hear 👍… yes I also like the looks and personally this is one of my favourite boats this year. The effort it requires to operate is so minimal compared to the fun you can have on this boat.

      Great review, thank you. Have you been able to test a T11 with twin 400’s? I’ve seen a few in the States but I’m yet to see any performance numbers.

    Great review and very helpful. How do the Oryx 375 and Nimbus compare? Which would you you put you money on as they look to compete for the same day boat market?

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Nimbus has been building in this size range for longer so you'd have to sway on their side. But Oryx has volume and unique cool factor so this is something which may suit people too. It really depends on usage and personal preference but if it was my money today i'd probably say the Nimbus with a set of the new Mercury 400 V10's just because I enjoy extra speed.

      Best to check with the dealers but you would be pushing a mil AUD these days for a nice spec landed in Sydney Nigel

    how would you compare the nimbus T11 to the Jeanneau leader 12.5 WA

    • @BoatLife_DansBoatLife
      @BoatLife_DansBoatLife  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nimbus quality is much higher so these boats will last longer and be something you could keep for a long time. Jeanneau is very functional, a good social design for two families and generally has solid re-sale in most markets. If we are just comparing on performance and quality the Nimbus wins.

      @@BoatLife_DansBoatLife thanks for the quick reply, I was at the palm beach boat show a few months ago, and my thoughts were the same just on my quick inspection, I plan to do more research and hands on later in year as well.
