Well, I was mostly out of canned bread at that stage anyway :D. But yeah, food supplies are, well, not running out, but with around two weeks worth of them left, it's time to save them for ourselves :D
Well done!. Haven't tried Scapa since they revised it. Might do it, but will have to be in another let's play ;). Moving somewhere else is a good step. Where will you go?. France or Norway? :)
It might be worth taking whatever usable supplies one can from the enemy ships. You were running out of food without knowing it and skipped checking a ship before. Last patrol you could have gotten more cannon rounds and food from the enemy but skipped it! Why? Isn't that basically going to save points at the port since you need to buy the supplies anyway? So even if you don't need to use them on that patrol, you still are winning, or at least saving. No idea how tight the economy is, so maybe that isn't a real worry at all. But I'd rather upgrade the boat than have to buy food and shells, if there's a choice.
The main issue here is that moving a full stack of cargo from a ship's holds into your submarine can take in excess of 12 hours, which you have to fully spend on the surface. Most of my sinkings were done within a radius of less than 100km from the nearest airfield, and they were pretty big bases too...Alexandria and Malta. I didn't want to be caught on the surface by aircraft, much less a destroyer group, because I happened to be stuck moving cargo worth maybe 2000 credits, if that much :). It's simply a case of risk vs rewards. The rewards of bringing some food on board are not worth the risk of being stuck on the surface while aircraft drop bombs on me ;).
Great ep once again!!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
This is probably the 1st time you didn't hand out your signature canned bread to the victim XD
