I bought my first R56 in very early January and have spent no less than 4 weekends at junk yards pulling parts to fix all the random broken crap in this neglected nugget. Probably one of my favourite ways to spend a Saturday morning though. Walk around, drink a coffee, find neat stuff. Good times.

Indeed, junk yard days are best days. It’s also really nice when there aren’t a lot of people and it feels like your own private lot.

I go to pick a part once a month and the past 3 times I have scored good clean and nearly new part for my R53 crazy
We have a yard just 5 minutes from our shop and it’s great to find stuff like that.
