Hey Oscar , So happy you dig it 🙏 thanks for being here
This is great! My goal is to learn jazz but im nowhere close i feel like because i've basically just opened the door to all of it, but i at least understand it now and this really helps me to imagine how i can get there step by step.. I literally didn't understand the major scale whatsoever about 2 years ago, even though i've played for 15 years. Was devastating to realize how i actually couldn't play at all lol.. But i've come far since then, and your content has helped a lot recently, so thank you.
You can do it 100%, and ill be there to support, feel free to reach out and stay in touch. Thanks for tuning in
I’m in the same boat !

Another very helpful lesson Daniel. thank you! Comping along with you (most of the time...and more by feel than counting) I couldnt help but wonder about a video dedicated to phrasing and the building blocks of jazz comping - where anticipation or delay happens in the swing beat, keeping time (not tapping the foot but feeling the pulse). thought maybe this video was cut time but I see 4/4. One of the most amazing aspects of watching some jazz performances is how they keep time, track the arrangement and stay together (how do they teach that?) Watched a live holdsworth, haslip, wackerman show with friends and we were all amazed at how they all knew when to come to the next section after an extended free form (or so it seemed) section. I didnt see any cues! McLaughlin's Lock Down Blues was another more recent example - how they tracked when the percussion solo was ending. maybe you have done this already and i missed it.
I have struggled to learn jazz many years but you are giving me great insights. TY. I have to become familiar with this song first, I don't know it at all.
Thanks for tuning in John 🙏
Awesome look into your process, thanks.

Amazing Daniel. I think that a guitarist, when learning jazz, should have a precise and step by step program to follow, and you’re great in this. Thank you.

This is great! Are you israeli?
Big question. How does reading sheet music without tablature enhance your perception of music? Do you find it important to be able to read music in order to learn more quickly?
Rhytem , diatonic relevancy, tonal hearing, wow so many reasons to learn to read music 🎶
I've learnt bits n pieces of the bossa and autumn leaves, jazz is hard for sure, gd video
Thanks for checking it out sam :)
