I’m doing the course Daniel has. It’s well set out and comprehensive without being overwhelming. I’ve been playing 45 years , Daniel’s teaching style brings it all together so it makes sense. Go for it !!
@@WeissGuitar I’ve just started the course recently it’s all triads and arpeggios at the moment. But put together in a logical way to be easy to use right away. My username is AdamW. Your album ‘Dive’ is great too! I’ve been learning ii Vs and standards which is great , but I really like the style you and your band play. Great to find you here.
Galactic Modern Guitar Is the best! Currently practicing 'The Unitar' Module! Daniel, have you thought on putting 'practice together sessions' can be cool!
I am learning so much from you, at the same time trying not to get ahead of myself and lock in the triads. You are the man, really break things down, making it understandable and easy to digest.
Thank you for sharing that Wilbert, it means a lot to me! Yes, Triads and diatonic awareness/specific skills - are very important, and absolutely fantastic for the ears. So glad you joined Galactic Modern Guitar , So you have all the resources you need for strong foundations. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for staying in touch and for your support🙏🏻
01:00 I can't believe I've never practice or thought jazz arpeggios that way!!! Haha! You have the whole tree there: Cmaj7 from the route obviously, Em7 from the third, G7 from the fifth and Bm7b5 from the seventh. Two birds, one stone if you count the extensions.
Man I found your channel researching triad pairs and now I’m doing a whole deep dive on your channel. It’s an absolute gold mine of knowledge. Thank you for sharing these concepts!!!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you found the channel and that it's been helpful for your deep dive into triad pairs and beyond. It means a lot to hear that you're finding value in the content. If you’re looking for even more resources and lessons, feel free to check out weissguitar.com-there’s a lot more to explore there too! Thanks again for your support!
That's awesome, William! How would you describe your style? Let's just find a drummer and we're good to go! How many strings does your bass have? I'm glad you're here. Stay in touch 🙋♂️ 🎸
Sabia que algo pasaba con las terceras porque la mayoria de veces que las tocaba en cualquier lado sonaban bien. Esta es la explicación que necesitaba. Gracias
Always inspiring! I really like the little vocalization thing for the enclosure "going to root", I remember you saying in another vid with a descending chromatic line "major 7 to the 5" and that always stuck with me. Such a simple thing, but effective for remembering what you are doing from a theoretical angle. My problem atm is that I am on a vacation trip and don't have my guitar with me 😱. I'll come back to this vid once I get home for sure, thanks! 🙏
Great lesson, Daniel! I look forward to these weekly tutorials. If you find time, I'd like to see you do a video on common and not so common superimpositions over one chord vamps.
@@WeissGuitar My pleasure, Daniel! You have so much inspiring and useful content, I'd be crazy to miss out. Here's an idea for a title, "These jazz superimposition concepts can 5x your vocabulary". I researched the title on Google and it showed a result count of 11,700. Big enough to show interest, but not large enough to be buried by the algo.
Awesome set of lessons. I’d love to know how I can improvise using muscle memory alone. I’m not great at visualising harmony and scales on the guitar, but when I’ve practised something enough, I can navigate my way around literally with my eyes closed. Would love to know how to do this for playing changes and not just static chords for several bars. A video on this would be awesome.
Excellent lesson Thank you so much I do the same exercise in only one position where I play all the notes starting on C note on string 1 fret 7, then D on string 1 fret 9 … etc Not sure what your thoughts are !? Thank you again
Is there an advantage to playing the stretch patterns? For example, you're playing the F on e1 instead of B4 in C. I'm so used to the latter and tried to avoid as much stretching as possible to avoid tendonitis.
Hi Daniel, Your videos are so much fun! I've been playing for a very long time and can play pretty well, but I'm learning an awful lot. I like the way you break things down to their most elemental levels. You're a born teacher. Question: Since your right hand is hidden by the microphone, I can't tell how you're picking at the blazing speed @5:21 in the video-where you use the G major triad. Thanks!!!
Hi Steve, I have gotten your email and tried to set up a lesson for tomorrow, but for some reason the email I send you keep bouncing back, do you have another email? Please email me directly to Danielweissacademy@gmail.com and we can set a time. Thanks
I know there are different ways to finger arpeggios etc. but is there a reason you chose to finger them the way you have here - with the bigger stretches? or is it just a better hand workout?
