Yamaha Fazer 700 FZX 2 Carb Jetting Progress

After the initial testing on the rebuilt engine ( • Yamaha Fazer 700 (FZX)... ) getting a bit closer on the jetting. Went up from 15 to 17.5 on the pilots, down from the staggered pilot airs 135/130 to 130/125 and up on the mains. Those will need to be dialed in when able to get in under a load.

What front suspension do you have on there?

That has a 2005 R6 front suspension and the upper triple tree is a highly modified one from a Yamaha Warrior 1700. Has a custom All Balls bearing kit too. Took a lot of fabrication to make it all work.

@@xHondaHack thanks man im in the process of rebuilding mine. Did the dyna tek coils give you any trouble or were they a bolt on?

@@speedtwinjohnny Love the Dynatek coils but not easily adapted to the Fazer when fitting in the stock mounts. Had to make spacers and with that still don't have very much clearance for the chrome sections of the airbox cover. I'd stick with a good set of stock coils, just make sure the caps are in excellent condition and have the proper 5K ohm resistance (when using non-resistor plugs).
