I really admire your attention to detail. Even if you're the most expensive deck builder in your market, your clients are getting great value.

Really dig seeing the Dr. Work through the processes. Super helpful, as I am a beginner at composite deck install. 1000's of details to learn! Picked it up after I retired from Industrial electrical trade.

Always learn something watching your videos, wish i had seen this last month before finishing my deck, I could’ve used the sanding tip! I too cut the joist a 1/8” or less while trimming the boards and used external commercial caulking to seal it because i had it. For the joists, it was too expensive for me to use tape because it was a large deck, instead i used rubber based foundation sealer, applied with a brush & roller, dried quickly but can be messy.

At the minimum you cover many details well. You take nothing for granted that viewers know everything you do! Good instructions.

Very interesting process. Was wondering though since you already had the curved trim peice cut which I'm assuming you used to trace your line on the decking, why you couldn't use it as a guide and router the line? Seems like it would be easier then trying to freehand follow your mark line. But maybe being as good as you are it's just faster to do it your way then set up the curved trim board as a router guide.

If you wanted to do that, you’d use a top bearing say 1/2” router bit. You’d need a jig that accounts for that 1/2” thickness of the router bit, not the actual radius deck board.
