This is not one of the best, but THE best woodworking video I have ever seen!! No endless talking, no self-promoting, no crap music. Just pure information. And all these technics are worth gold. My deepest respect for you!
This guy must be a certified genius. All these jig designs, the use of one jig to create another, the fluidity of his motion, the video quality, the sound quality, the cinematography, the editing...I was completely mesmerized.
Agreed. I felt like I was watching a master sushi chef or swordmaker. I love how he points out the line after getting within a caterpillar's eyebrow hair of it. Lol
Genius. A vault of knowledge-pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted to know about routing served up in 30 minutes, with no chatter or music, in that japanese minimalist esthetic. I can smell the cherry. Thank you 🙏🏻
This has got to be the most simple, most explicit, most comprehensive router jig video I have seen to date. Hands down, this is the best demonstration of a router jig I have yet seen. 😄
It’s amazing how you find ways to do complex tasks with routers and circular saws by building jigs for the different ideas. I have built a few of them and they work just the way you demonstrated in the videos. I also believe that your videos are lessons for creativity, invention and thinking out of the box, but above all they are about solving problems. Thank you very much for this master classes
Hands down THE BEST WOODWORKING video that i've ever seen, and I dont give out comments easily, I have been saved from buying all those expensive tools!. Thank you very much!.
I love how you share all your knowledge and put plans up so we can screenshot it’s much appreciated. And your work is always clean and very accurate and so therapeutic to watch
This is the best video about a milling machine and equipment that I have found on the Internet in the last 6 years. You are perfect Yasuhiro. Greetings from Poland
Sir! You are a master woodworker. I really enjoy watching your videos and I’m not even a woodworker. All your projects are smooth and beautiful. Keep sharing your ideas with the world. I truly believe that you Japanese people are perfectionists at EVERYTHING you do.
Thank you most kindly on this video. I am really glad TH-cam algorithm worked today. By the way to all of you watching or rewatching, the best tip is in the video description and I am sure most of us never thought about that and was wondering why is something going sideways. - "The position of the base plate on the router body can shift depending on how the screws are tightened. Always align and fix it in the same direction each time. If the base plate shifts, the jig will not function properly."
I have literally had to stop this video halfway through because my brain is full. I will have to mentally digest what I've watched so far and have the second course tomorrow.
Watched the rest of the video today and decided "I gotta get myself a Hikoki 36V trim router". Then I cried when I saw the price. The wife just found out what I paid for a new welding set last month!
TOP LEISTUNG!👍👍👍
Wow! - a true work of art. Thanks so much for all the time and care and precision you put into your work - very educational and a genuine gift to your viewers!!
Your videos are great! Not only full of wonderful ideas and beautiful woodworking tips. They are also relaxing. No loud music, no useless talking, just the sweet sound of wood and woodworking tools.
Great visual instruction! Best Router Video I have found. There may be others out there, but this video keeps it simple for anyone to use a router. Thank you for sharing.
So...router instead of a chisel? And still with the craftsmanship. And more traditional joinery. I used to teach wood shop in high school. First power tool for kids was router (enclosed blade, safe). But a big one, this is eye opening, for me your work is next level, thank you VERY much. Looking forward to more.
I’m watching this for the third time to catch subtle thngs I missed. Effective clamping. Didn’t catch that wee enough the first two views. Great stuff!
This was breathtaking. Well constructed, both the items and the video. This was the video that made me a subscriber instead of a casual watcher. Thank you very much!
I think this is the best instructional video for woodworking, nay anything, that I’ve ever seen on TH-cam. And the fact that it’s done entirely wordlessly is testament to their skill at communication and the universality of solving problems with wood. Like a good glue, there are more things that bind us together than drive us apart. Thank you
Simply mesmerising but not easy to do my brain will have see this several times to digest it thoroughly. Well done sir very nice jigsaw and great work!
I wished I had watched this video before I wasted about $50 worth of wood trying to freehand with a router. As if that was a thing I could do. Thank you so much for the great ideas. 🙏
Master Yasuhiro never disappoints. His work is beyond amazing in that it is so simple to understand the content of his videos without any spoken word. Very cerebral woodworking if there is such a thing. BTW. I learned most of my woodworking skills from a couple Philippino guys at Clark Air Base. Way back in the 80s. They had a great workshop on base.
Wow! I just commented yesterday to a close friend and fellow wood working enthusiast. If there is one tool in the shop that I wish I could master, it’s my trim router! Thank you. I have much to learn.
Brilliant!! I like the fact that you build your own guides instead of buying them. So cool. Thanks for some great ideas I can incorporate into my projects.
Thank you so much for sharing this incredible video! The 20 simple router trimmer hacks were fascinating and extremely helpful. Your creativity and expertise in Japanese woodworking truly shine through. I learned a lot of useful tips and can't wait to try them out. Please keep making more of these amazing and useful videos in the future. Your content is greatly appreciated!
I love this video, I haven't found one better yet for not just routing, but woodworking in general. You cover all the bases I could think of. I do have one question though, what's with the tear out at 24:30? Could you have come from the outside in on the whole pass? Could you have used tape on the end to prevent it? Or do you have a more genius way to deal with it?
You need to write a book my friend. "Top notch woodworking tips and trick to help you save money and work smarter" something like that. No seriously ill buy it.. your knowledge is gold ❤ thanks again for showing us your ways. Very inciteful as always. 👍
This is not one of the best, but THE best woodworking video I have ever seen!! No endless talking, no self-promoting, no crap music. Just pure information. And all these technics are worth gold. My deepest respect for you!
You're Goddamn Right
100%
Absolutely right!
I made it myself. Just take a fast look for WoodPrix if you'd like to make it too.
I totally agree 🤠
This guy must be a certified genius. All these jig designs, the use of one jig to create another, the fluidity of his motion, the video quality, the sound quality, the cinematography, the editing...I was completely mesmerized.
You said exactly what I was trying to say ,but just couldnt find the flow. Thanks !!! I can relax now. lol
A craftsman throughout, even beyond woodworking.
ditto to all of this
Japanese are very good wood workers, some of the best.
Agreed. I felt like I was watching a master sushi chef or swordmaker. I love how he points out the line after getting within a caterpillar's eyebrow hair of it. Lol
This guy has me convinced the only power tool you actually need in the shop is a router. What a fantastic video.
Genius. A vault of knowledge-pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted to know about routing served up in 30 minutes, with no chatter or music, in that japanese minimalist esthetic. I can smell the cherry. Thank you 🙏🏻
I just love how this gentleman is doing his stuff, simply amazing. Warm regards from Canada.
This has got to be the most simple, most explicit, most comprehensive router jig video I have seen to date. Hands down, this is the best demonstration of a router jig I have yet seen. 😄
I’ve always admired Japanese woodworking! These router trimmer hacks are definitely something I want to learn for my projects.
Endlessly wonderful! Not a giant workshop. Just a giant creativity to be used in a small(er) workshop. What a treat!
Two thumbs up! Totally agree!
It’s amazing how you find ways to do complex tasks with routers and circular saws by building jigs for the different ideas. I have built a few of them and they work just the way you demonstrated in the videos.

Amen
This is one of the best inspirational woodworking videos I have seen.
I’m overwhelmed with amazement how accurate you are!! Making all those tools!! Congrats….
You are simply AMAZING. I'm so glad I found your channel last year.
No shitty "Music" or yakking about stuff. Pure unadulterated knowledge transfer.
Strange video,
Kids around the world should be taught these skills! Each one of his examples should be taught 1 lesson per week. I will emulate his lessons
I love how you share all your knowledge and put plans up so we can screenshot it’s much appreciated. And your work is always clean and very accurate and so therapeutic to watch

29 minutes of pure woodworking bliss!
That round bar making jig is pure genius!!. Very nicely done.
I have literally had to stop this video halfway through because my brain is full. I will have to mentally digest what I've watched so far and have the second course tomorrow.
One has to be careful not to over consume this, otherwise one might get idea-obese 😁
Watched the rest of the video today and decided "I gotta get myself a Hikoki 36V trim router". Then I cried when I saw the price. The wife just found out what I paid for a new welding set last month!
Brain full at 11:50. My brain is smaller than yours. What fun!
Here same! Haha
I'm sorry I'm soooooo like you

Very well done, sir. You have great craftsmanship and much pride in your work.
I don’t know anything about wood work. I have to say it is a beautiful art and am enjoying watching it.
This channel should be on TV's world wide 24-7 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤍🫂🇨🇺
This is relaxing to watch and listen to. Too bad it makes me sleepy its so good haha. Awesome video!
You are getting experience of Zen meditation techniques! Just keep watching it helps to route your brain too ❤
