      No one's blaming white people. Use your head. Just like there's a few bad cops who make everything worse for the rest of the police force, it's the same for the other side. There's a few bad apples in every single group no matter what you do. That's just life. Whether people have enough common sense in their brains to even comprehend that, will be the day that the division and anger, and hate ends.

      The best Chicago, Philly, Detroit, has done to lower crime rates is to stop arresting those who are committing the low level crimes. That it guaranteed to brings down crime statistics. Stop reporting crimes, stop prosecuting crimes and it makes them all go away.

    • @sailingsolar2371
      @sailingsolar2371 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @EarlyMornings&LateNights I agree with your comment 100%. You missed the point I tried to make. I'll correct that. When they stop arresting for lower level crimes "statistically" those crimes drop when the next year's reports come out! They drop because "there were less arrest made". They didn't drop because there are any less being committed. You are very correct pointing out the RESULTS of IGNORING low level crime is a net increase in both low level crimes but an increase in higher level crimes also. It's a failed and flawed policy of liberals who blame crime on the enforcement of chime and refuse to put the blame where it belongs which is on the "criminal" doing the crime. The try to put the blame on everything but the person responsible for their own actions. The blame the childhood, their up bringing, their environment, it's endless. Liberals ignore all those in the same circumstances who don't commit crimes . Ignoring crime ONLY brings more crime on all levels. Best wishes

      Maybe they need to push a better culture in the black community so officers aren’t scared to walk in on calls with African Americans maybe stop encouraging famous people who rap to sing about guns violence sex with women and killing people cause almost every single rap song.... and there is like millions always had ether sex drugs or killing in there songs that black communities listen to and want to copy all the time to be “cool “ change there culture and there will be a lot less cops shootings with black people , then the crimes will all go down including black on black gang violence So sick of all these people singing about killing people doing drugs and fucking girls and then when cops are cautious to approach them they scream racism it even has gone so far as to commit crimes like killing people or doing some crazy shit in the whole public screams racism it has gotten that So sick of all these people singing about killing people doing drugs and fucking girls and then when cops are cautious to approach them they scream racism it even has gone so far as to commit crimes like killing people or doing some crazy shit in the whole public screams racism it has gotten that bad

      Demetrius Williams. Spot on. In London things are getting increasingly worse in the Black communities since the police abandoned stop and search. Yet when the police were more active in those areas the Blacks used to riot because they deemed the police heavy-handed. They can't have it both ways. It's time these communities took a real good look at themselves. If the black male stayed around to discipline his kids this would end. But they don't. And so the problem just gets passed down through the generations.

    You know, it's come to the point where I just can't care too much about the people living on Chicago's Southside. They're the source of their own problems, from the no snitching(even when innocent children or seniors are the victims)to allowing gang members to get away with their crimes because they're someone's cousin or brother. From acting like it's White people's fault to crying about the police making things worse. These people are their own worst enemy, they know the problems they're just too lazy or complacent to act upon improving their situation.

      All of these numbers are insane though, right? I live in Germany. If there are 10 people shot in one year in a city with 1 Mio. people, this would create a giant outrage because it's not acceptable. Heck, they've changed the windshields and armor for police cars because one officer got shot in a bank robbery because the bullet penetrated his car door.

    Blah....blah...blah....bottom line is that all of this shit starts at home with these absent minded parents that shouldn't have had kids in the first place...having a child is serious business and not some type of hobby...news flash!!....you actually have to RAISE that child instead of sitting back and letting them raise themselves, or the streets, social media, or TV raise them...nowadays parents are more caught up in their own lives or more concerned about being their kids friends than actually being a parent to them and raising them...you cant just let your kids free roam all over the place and not knowing their whereabouts....or the type of friends they're hanging out with....or even the type of content they're watching on TV or online....so let's start there at home first before we start to blame others...and then we can move on from there and start blaming the police, schools, and court system etc....smh

      Absolutely. They are down from the 1970's as well. The real way to end violence is to accelerate gentrification like in New York. Triple the rents on the West Side and send all the Housing Choice Vouchers out to the suburbs and crime would plummet. Even better, send all the Housing Choice Vouchers downstate to Springfield. Oh, how wonderful that would be. We would eliminate crime in Chicago and punish our oppressors in one move.

The facts are in the number. The police ain't policing. Who can blame them? I love how the lady at the end of the video, who lost her son, says to the police if you ain't doing your job, leave. OH boy if it was that simple. NO it's not. If I was a police officer, and They are only human. I'd stop policing and collect a check to. NO LIE. And for ppl saying it's not as bad as the 80's and 90's. IT's worse! that was a long time ago. We are in way pass that if this still exists. Police back them really cracked heads, there was no, oh officer don't do that. They cracked heads, no one batted an eye. Now? shit.

That really opened up my eyes because places with a high black population+poverty= a failed community.

    And I don't want to hear any BS about the environment they live in. I don't care how damn poor you are... move out. Move somewhere safer. You have 2 damn legs and public transportation if that's what it takes. *I would rather live with my child in a damn **_Homeless Shelter_** in a safer city or neighborhood than live in the damn hood in Chicago*
    It boggles my mind how they complain about their damn situation and circumstances when they are doing absolutely *NOTHING* to try to improve them. Goddamn.
    *There are families from Central America and Mexico that literally traveled **_hundreds or thousands_** of miles to escape their damn situation and try to give their children a better future and you _can't be bothered to move to a different damn city or state_? Part of the problem in these communities aren't the people who decide to stand up decide to serve and protect the people, but the people themselves. The elephant in the room here is in these neighborhoods there is lack of accountability for people who live there and also the repercussions for those who decide to report crimes to law enforcement.
    In order for things to change in high density urban areas people, like the woman in this video need to start getting involved and making a difference on a micro level.

So many cops won't even go into certain areas anymore because its so dangerous. Taxes are going up, jobs are still limited, and drugs are still on the rise. All these things effect low income areas which is why nothing is getting done. People assume that the South and West side are bad...but that shit is traveling North now. Crime can happen anywhere at anytime and its honestly terrifying... its not something everyone thinks about, but you should always be prepared. Y'all would use any excuse to call black people animals and savages.
    Truth be, everything isn't as black and white (figuratively) as you make it seem. No, I am not one to subjectively select what wrongs I acknowledge. I do not condone black on black crime but I do not condone police brutality.
    Now people don't seem to understand how those two are interconnected and both embedded into a culture built on poverty and prejudice. The black community was in extreme poverty in the post-civil war climate (especially in the south) and the following segregation drew a clear line between whites and blacks. I could go on about the war on drugs, mass incarceration and all that but I think you get the picture lol. What I'm saying is, there is a reason behind the economic and social situation of certain African Americans.
    Blacks in Chicago (predominantly on the Southside) have been stuck ever since their arrival because of the continually increasing housing prices up North. While real estate saw a rise in value on the western and northern suburbs, black people in the South saw no economical growth in their area. This still applies to now, since few black owned businesses can be found in a city counting many black citizens. The funds are limited in an economically troubled community. This doesn't leave much room for education, which is why many schools in the area end up failing.
    This stands along deeply-rooted cultural misconceptions amongst the black community. The need to belong in a poor community, monoparental families, etc. These cause certain kids to join gangs, knowing no better. Gangs cause the high homicide rate and important criminal authority presence. I personally believe patrolling is important in these areas, but every individual should be held accountable for their wrongdoings, if committed. Let's also add in the fear that causes certain cops to commit certain of those wrongdoings stems from the violence and misperception of the police in these areas. Cops should be well trained and mentally prepared to show up in these places.
    No matter what you think, there is reasoning behind certain of these people's problems and calling an entire group degenerated/incapable of being civilized human beings doesn't only make you regressive with your ideologies, but it also kind of makes you an asshole. Also, acting like there isn't a cultural issue within the community and pointing fingers at everyone but the people concerned makes you nothing but a lunatic. That won't get us anywhere, action is needed.

      Your response is well thought out. You're right. There are many historical reasons for how things got to the point that there at currently. I'm not sure exactly what the solution will be. Perhaps homeownership, meditation, education, active participation in the economy. These things are achievable once one obtains a sense of selfworth. I'd like to fit God in there too but that adds a whole other dimension to the conversation that some may see as intangible. I lived in New Orleans during the 90's so i can kinda relate. I slowly began to discover the intrinsic value i possessed simply by being a human being. Then my thinking and behavior began to change. So, i guess i still have hope for ther situation.

      Captain Basch no. The Democrats are helping black people, but black people need to help ourselves first by having accountability and taking responsibility. People need to stop blaming politics and white people; grow up and get your life together. Some people can’t be saved, so the children must be guided in the right direction bc their parents are unfit to do their duties.

    This is on the parents. Plain and simple.
    When you bring a child into this world, it falls on them to make sure they are raised properly.
    The problem is that when kids have kids, nobody learns the necessary discipline to be a productive member of society.

    They call it gun violence-- should be black violence. You dont see Asians or Whites shooting each other in the streets. The cops should not even go there where blacks live they dont care about killing other blacks. Society will stand back and just watch blacks kill each other. Democrats just want cheap votes so here we are.

    Notice it's always someone or something else that is always at fault. It's whites who have pulled back and left. They like the police have no interest in a culture that will blame rather than be accountable. The police have no incentive to help a culture that has never been taught to be accountable. You can see the disengage when blacks want to be excepted into a society that is scared to death by the presence of this violent and anger culture. The police are the last thing the blacks need to worry about. Now it's their own kind that they need to be saved from and nobody wants any part of that blame.

    Instead of sending our soldiers to every other place in the damn world, we should be sending them to these home grown war grounds. This shit will do a drastic change in less than 2 weeks. Yes there will some blood shed but there will also be fear of back getting blown out or serving hard labor in Leavenworth.

    The black community needs to start taking responsibility for their own community. I live in a white community and if I would walk around drunk, yelling, fighting, smoking drugs or carrying a weapon my neighbors will call the cops and then point me out because they want to live in a safe community. In the black community they are taught the its us vs them mentality, you cannot call them”the cops” you cannot snitch on your own people. So that means no one is actually reporting the crimes before they happened. Then an altercation leads to someone getting shot in the streets and they say “well, you should investigate” the police try to investigate but everyone refuses to cooperate. Then the same people that refused to cooperate go to the media and say the police aren’t doing their job trying shift all the blame and responsibility onto the police. That’s why until the black community takes responsibility for their own community nothing will change. The police arrive after the crime has already happened so they can only do so much without the assistance of the community.

    It's a message that police department is trying to send. This message is that we are not going to do our job properly anymore. We are going to sit back and watch all this violence happen. Therefore they want the community and the politicians to step in and beg the police to step in and "let their hands free"

    What people are not telling you is; implicitly black people are being taught not to cooperate with the police, and not live rewarding lives in these communities. There are major problems in black communities that are self destructive.

      Also, that kids are having kids, before they ever get a chance to be adults. And then, when those parents want to be adults and live their own lives, they let their own children figure out the difficulties and intricacies of life on their own.

    • @kittyrocoa714
      @kittyrocoa714 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kid having kids is an issue many communities have; yet in other communities with lower financial status the crap you see in these ghettos is at least implicit and unseen; in contrast to explicit gangsta ideology and etc. Many of these issue do not start with government but the home and parents; and a toxic peer pressure - whilst prejudice and racism exist so there is alot to overcome.
