I want to point out that the Green-haired girl is in the concept trailer and you can even see her magical girl outfit which resembles a birdcage. There’s another girl in the concept trailer that resembles one of the random girls that Madoka saves at the end of the original show but that girl also has the exact same hair color as the young girl in the ball pit. Also Sayaka still knows that Homura is a demon even after her memory was erased. Sayaka could be trying to learn the truth about Homura
Yeah I instantly thought of the teddy bear girl from the anime when I saw the girl in the ball pit with Nagisa, but it's mainly just cause of the hair color.
@@Starriaaa @Starriaaa yeah perhaps so, but maybe the orange girl is different from the teddy bear girl. I went back to watch the concept movie. The birdcage girl, who looks similar to the Green Hair Girl's outfit made me think of the witch Roberta. Roberta is said to be an older magical girl, and Green Hair does seem quite mature. We also see what looks like the magical girl form of Quiterrie in the concept movie.
Something I haven't seen many people point out is that green-haired girl has been part of this film since the original concept trailer. There's a girl with suspiciously similar hair in one small scene. It's just a concept page, but it shows her design being really similar. It's safe to say the plot of this movie probably won't be too different from the concept trailer considering her maintained presence.
I don't remember where, but I saw/heard once that Walpurgis and Gretchen together create thee form of an hour-glass, Walpurgis is the top and Gretchen is the bottom. Also, the new magical girl had two pigtails that resemble an awfull lot the scroll part of a Violin at the end, so maybe this girls are manifestations of the main characters wishes that they originally made.
26:33 - you missed that in reflection there is no ring on the right hand. 32:16 - at this moment this girl calls for self-reflection (explaining current situation with her cup). And at the last frame she softly touches her ring. 37:23 - note that colors are desaturated. Which happens when Homura freezes time. My theory that Homura finally got tired of her curse/ability after seeing infinity of timelines (where each timeline is a spiral/ladder), defeating Kyubey and rewriting laws millions of times, maybe even erased her own memory, then she "reflected on herself" (literally in trailer and psychologically in reality), got her ultimate grief and finally at her last moment she stopped the time... forever... as she thought. Sayaka bypassed stopped time, maybe like Mami earlier, maybe in some other way. I mean, if not Sayaka, who else could oppose Devil Homura? Imagine your opponent can rewind time, and you will lose almost all of your memories, how would you fight?
21:26 I was literally thinking right before you said it, that Walpurgis might end up being a combination of Madoka and Homura, because canonically, she is an amalgamation of witches. I hadn't considered this before watching the video, and yet it seems so obvious as a possibility. I'm so excited for this movie.
Just a note. The girl with the light green hair in a cage? Cage imagery has popped up a few times over the Madoka series and films. Their school is one, with gold filigree fittings and lots of glass. Same with the place where Kyoko meets up with Homura in Rebellion before they get on the buses to test whether they can leave the city. Even Madoka's home at the end of Rebellion. I'm sure there's more, but even casually considering it, I came up with those three.
Great analysis, thoroughly enjoyed the video! I'm also in the camp that the other versions of Homura are Clara Dolls that have sort of "grown up". I wonder what's going on with the the other members of the Holy Quintet. I originally thought that it could possibly be a result of Homura taking up the Incubators original role but it seems like Sayaka still has her powers at the end of Rebellion. Plus, Kyoko can be seen wearing two different outfits in both of the trailers so I wonder what exactly is going on there. Seeing so many elements from the Concept Movie being brought over I wonder if the "golden hero" Mami will be brought over in any fashion. I'm still curious on how Walpurgisnacht plays into this movie and how these threads get tied together.
Thank you for watching! As per usual, it always seems to be Mami whose roles is the most ambiguous lol, I've been wondering if they will do something big with her this time since Mami had such a big focus in the Concept Movie trailer, and even that mystery character from the last trailer has the most design similarities to Mami.
Agreed!!! with Rebellion's logo being purple and the new logo for this movie being yellow i'm hoping for more Mami content, and hopefully her lack of focus in the trailer is because they're hiding her role. Sayaka seems to be the "antagonistic" force against Homura and I wonder if she'll be teaming up with the new magical girls or teaming up with Homura herself against the new magical girls. I'm suspicious of the orange-hair girl and why she's hanging out with Kyubey. The "amalgamation" does seem to look like a mix between Mami, Madoka, and Homura and I'm excited to learn more about her. Looking forward to more Madoka Magica content, keep up the great work!
…wait omg yeah you might be on to something! didn’t kyubey talk about how familiars can turn into witches themselves… it would make sense that if Homucifer’s witch form is herself then her familiars would grow to look like her as well…
I'm fairly certain the purplish-hair Homura is definitely not Homura, but is connected to her somehow. My current guess is she's Walpurgisnacht. Homura, Madoka and Walp being linked would make for an interesting story that I'd love to see.
I just realized that in the new trailer that just came out today the person who pulled on Homura's lip has the same sleeve as the person who got stabbed in the arm.
The glass statue is filled with telephone cords of different colors, not books. I think it's linked to Homura because seems to be running the magical girl business, by phone. I get the impression Homura doesn't really know how to manage the magical girl system properly, and as a result she's unintentionally creating Walpurgisnacht. The different colored phone cords tangled in it seem to imply that there are multiple magical girls tied to it, along with all the books around it. Wild speculation: Walpurgisnacht isn't a witch, but rather is a concept that manifests when certain conditions are met, conditions Homura has inadvertently created. It's similar in concept to the Boltzmann brain thought experiment, which postulates that a working functional brain complete with memories could arise from a universe where entropy has maxed out (heat death) by means of random fluctuations. Given nearly an infinite amount of time, these random fluctuations would eventually at some point form a brain, or any complex structure for that matter.
I still think gown homura is demon homura demon homura is a little creepy and always was smug and very theatrical also the salamander is specifically a devil homura thing and the gown homura has that all over her I think there’s only two Homura’s I think headband homura is still devil homura or at least just an extension of her.

@@zinzolin14 and oddly enough teddy bear girl was in the concept trailer right after green haired girl… maybe they reworked her design idk

@@lukamagica6810 it's all speculation at this point, I wouldn't be sad if she turned to be someone different
Sayaka was fighting a wraith in the concept trailer, not a witch. And good eye for spotting that similarity with the Clara doll and the Homura copy.

Finally someone mention Quitterie...
She could've been Kyubey's ally, judging by her saving nature like Oriko
The brown haired girl with nagisa reminds me a lot of the teddy bear themed magical girl at the end of the original series that Madoka helps
very short trailer, and then have great amount of analysis

I'm becoming increasingly convinced that the "Homura is Walpurgisnacht" theory is true and I hate it. I desperately wish for it to not be true...
such a great vid I never considered the homura x walpurgis connections that’s super interesting!! …somehow still hoping for the best for madohomu😭💗
Ty very much for your workk!! 🥺🥺 Amazing video 🤧🤧😭😍😍👏👏👏
Thanks for your work!! You did a great job
I really hope mabayu gets a mention in this movie but i doubt.
Mabayu is one of the reason why Madokami exist + She is potentially able to replace Madoka (Kyubey said that to her)
Omg Homura’s time powers created Walpurgis. It’s a fucking time loop!!!! Still!!!! NOOOOO
I'm pretty sure the girl playing with Nagisa has a similar school outfit as the middle schoolers, so I'm not sure if she's the same age as Nagisa.
