  • 12v Cummins cam swap. well pulling the cam to put a smaller cam in to make the truck run a bit nicer for the truck pig, this new cam is a tow cam ( stg2 ) and will be suited better for the job.

If you come out with a detailed rebuild course that covers a 12 valve start to finish more or less step by step, you have me a guaranteed customer!

👍👍good stuff feller...I swapped in a 178/208 in a vp44 engine last spring..(cause I had the case off to fix oil leak), truck only has a comp box with a stock injectors and modified hx35..I like the cam..lots of low end and no smoke with comp box on high..used a chunk of stainless milk barn pipeline I cut in half and made the dowels...was a time consuming process for sure...but anyway..thanks for another video 👍👊🍻

Great info! What kind of pen are you using to mark the valves as you go?

I use paint markers, work great as long as you clean the oil off first.

How do I keep my cam from eating my 5.9 block again I followed all the instructions from Hamilton in the spring tappet cam kit. only thing I found is it’s recommended to line bore for bushings or the new hd springs push the cam past the oil and eat the block that’s pretty much what looks like what happened 😢 -5000 in machining and parts 😢
working on swapping a 6.7 into it

I would need more info on the setup. But I have run lots of stock bearing setups but I do recommend run zinc additives
