  • In this video I’ll show you how to set up filters so that the Ioniq 5 navigation system takes you to the right chargers while you’re on your next trip.

That works for POIs, but I'm still getting AC charging when I do a route, even though I've filtered out AC charging like you show.

Yes, I saw someone else that had this issue. There must still be some bugs in the system. Just for kicks, try turning on all the DC Fast chargers that you have filtered out and see if it replaces the AC charger with some other DC fast charger. Let me know what happens.

Why can’t Hyundai implement filter on full trip navigation? Also inside 30 miles, battery precondition won’t turn on. So you have to plan trip with some other tool and navigate to the chargers you want.

What's the state of charge level you're comfortable with on long road trips when it's time to start looking for a DC fast charging station? 15% or is that too stressful at that point?

We never start looking for charging. We plan all of our charging stops in advance generally with a better route planner or the in car navigation, and we read review of each stop on plug share. We want to know if a charger or charging station is down. While I’m pretty comfortable arriving at a charger with 8-10% SOC, we typically arrive somewhere between 10-15%. In the winter we try to arrive right at 20%, because battery preconditioning in the ioniq 5 will shut off right around 20% and the battery will cool, and your charging will be slower than with a perfectly pre conditioned battery.

Hello! Did you receive and install the latest update to the Nav software this week? It seemed to fix all my problems as far as looking at it on the screen goes, but without using it on a road trip, I don't know how it will perform.
If you plan on going on another road trip, please video it and show us how to use it because when I look at it, and click to start, a lot of the information seems to disappear, and I don't know what happens when I get to the first charging stop, and continue.
    Thanks!

I plan to install it today or tomorrow. I’ll be taking my car on a short road trip next week. I’ll try to make a video then.

Did everything like you mentioned. Only EA selected- but still mostly dealership DC chargers which I bet are 50kW and AC chargers . The travel time however is just the driving time. This is not right. They should add the charging time as travel time. Maybe an algorithm based on total trip time may help avoid AC chargers. I seriously doubt if I will ever use this route planner. At least there is an option not to find chargers in the route planner

As the old saying goes, "Rome wasn't built in a day". I know that the Beta Version of the trip planner had the charging amounts and times included. It must not have been quite ready for this update. Still we're getting progress. We tend to compare it to Tesla which is an actual software company that builds a car and has had 14 years to perfect it. For now I will use it, because it will start battery preconditioning when needed, but I'll be checking it against A Better Route Planner which for me is the CCS god standard for now.

That filter is only for what chargers show up when you click on EV charging Stations in the Nearby POIs menu. The filter doesn't have any effect on the trip planning.

I didn't think that you were right on this, so I just checked. I unchecked all the boxes and planed a 300 mile trip with starting SOC of 66%. It filled in the chargers with one stop at an EA and one at another brand farther along the route. Then I cancelled the route and tried it again after checking only the Electrify America box. This time the route was exactly the same, and so was the first stop at the EA. The second stop was in different town at an EA. The first plan had me arriving with a higher SOC.

I just downloaded the software two days ago, and even though I only have EA selected, the route planner ignores EA and won't give me anything that I can use. Maybe the latest software version has more errors?
