And that super cheap loli, with the super fast fireballs gave me an ass whopping. I ended up quitting against her but wasn't even mad bc I knew what to expect via this video lmao.
It looks like one of that games that has one or few oc's and tons of guests or straight up a giga collab... Kinda like smash bros? Sad thing is that usually those games dont have sequels

They are all characters from Nitroplus visual novels, except for the three guest characters, Homura from Senran Kagura, aino heart from arcana hearts, and Saber from Fate stay night. The main character of psychopass is an assist character, as well as Angela Balzac from expelled from paradise, and then there is a character from gargantia on the verdurous planet in there as well. Super sonico is the Nitroplus mascot. Some of the visual novel characters include Saya from song of Saya, ethica kibanohara from Tokyo necromancer, and Muramasa from full metal daemon: muramasa, to name a few.
I actually had to import the Japanese version of this because the American version was delisted for a second. The assist system was so sick. I had a few 100+ combo videos on my TH-cam channel for a second. I ran ignis as a main This game is so sick, even my wife would play it with me
Another thing of note is the action button. It does a lot and one thing it does is literally gives yiu the smash bros shorthop fast fall allowing every character in the game access to an instant overhead button. Think kof short hop on its own button.
Team Arcana deserves more love than they get. Million Arthur Arcana Blood & Arcana Heart 3 are so fun to play. I hope we get a Daemon Bride port at some point too since that game is arcade only still.
aquapazza needs a port to pc and modern consoles too, dont know what can be done to get publishers to take a chance at porting daemon bride, and aquapazza, since it's doubtful it'd sell much, or too many people would try them unfortunately
For anyone else who just has to know, the assist who just stands there and then throws up actually summons a cloud from the opposite side of the screen that removes the opponent’s ability to jump.

You're fighting a literal cthullu esque world grimoire from a series where an unknown super robot called demonbane takes down said cthullian other super robots, of course theyd have an snk level boss(despite the fact snk lore comes nowhere near the bs power scaling the super robot genre puts out on a daily basis).

I got this game for free for having Skullgirls 2nd Encore. It’s pretty sick. My mains were Saya, Anna and Muramasa. Saber is busted af, like almost might as well be Vergil. It’s a lot of fun. Also I recommend the anime that Al Azif is from, called Demonbane.

Huh, well I certainly wasn't expecting this. Not that I'm complaining though. But yeah, "Nitroplus Blasterz" is a pretty fun fighter, or at least I think it is. It has a lot of mechanics that allow for more freedom and versatility than you'd expect. Though really, most of Team Arcana's (formerly Examu) fighters are like this, especially in terms of fun aerial movement. Funnily, I think more people recognize this game than many of the series actually in it. Likely in large part due to it showing up multiple times in Sajam's WIK show. I, and probably others, submitted so many clips of the game to that show...with many even actually getting showcased. Testament to how wacky the combo structure can get. But yeah, "N+B" technically has a spiritual successor in "Million Arthur: Arcana Blood". While not exactly the same, they do share many similar mechanics and concepts. Though it's nowhere near as popular oddly.
I actually kinda like the concept of a main roster and assist roster in a game this fast. Having to only learn 1 main character and working in the 2 assists is a bit more approachable, for me anyway, than having to learn 3 entire characters right from the start.
Having played this one before I can see why you like it... It's basically a Japanese version of Marvel Vs (and I call it such), without the complication of having to play 3 characters. The movement is absolutely kinetic, the combo structure is very large, and can go on for days. It has a burst system. It basically has a better Shield mechanic than melty blood, which is saying something considering that Shield is quite good. And the characters.... Oof. They got some absolutely obscure ones for this, then again they had the nitroplus library to play with.
This game is fun. Un-bloody-balanced, but very fun. Also it should be noted that this game would be pretty much the last thing that Team Arcana touches.... Outside of Arcana Heart itself. In doing so it probably saved their reputation, because the game that they did before this (Aquaplazza) was really bad.
Gamers are use to dealing with things moving in really fast frames. Faster than any human can move. Spirits move at speed of thought. Thats instantaneous. So when traveling in the ether ill call it, its like that. But you can still think on an individual level. But you are already use to those speeds if that makes sense. Your brain wont fall out lol. Down side, humans are moving and thinking so slow that bordem is a constant fight. Have to stay stimulated to combat it. Thats where good music and watching video games comes in for me. There is a constant flow of data entering me even as i sleep. Not hard to sleep most nights. I kind of just go ahut off the stream and go lol. But its still there. Just detached from my consciousness i guess you could say.
It's always the niche unknown anime fighters that have weirdly good netcode but no players. I hope people like JWong and some others start pushing these hidden gems more. There's a lot of really good super obscure games out there.
Million Arthur is pretty sick and fun to play. But in terms of gameplay, I feel like this game has more potential. Million Arthur characters and colors look more appealing though

Nitro Plus Blasters was such a fun game to get into and learn. I thought Phantom Breaker omnia was gonna be anywhere close to as good. Ein is such a fun character an when you learn assists after activation gives you back some system mechanics allowing for extending strings

I've had a copy of this on my shelf for 7-8 years, never played a match. Awesome. The FGC was so garbage at that time. If it wasn't SF5 they weren't playing.
i'm surprised jwong never tried this game. shield is parry and can be done mid block string. makes unblockables and guard breaks blockable. adds landing recovery, and has recovery frames on button release, so it lose to some high low, throw options. everyone has a short hop overhead option of 2d, which is normal cancelable. universal guard break is charge E. boss is fuckin easy with basic game mechanic knowledge, you can just roll any projectile, and homura level2 just skips neutral on her, since its an instant tracking crossup, followed by uncrossup low or crossup high. ai is too stupid to shield counter or react to it properly. team arcana air dashers tend to have the most movement options. this game had normal air dashing mixed with rolls, daemon bride had 8 way air dashes, arcana heart has arcana heart stuff, maab was the most normal but still favored jumping more than most games due to being able to block while air dashing forward, and air assist options.
Heart, Homura, Sonico were the characters added on console release as pseudo guest or guest characters. Heart is here because examu made it, when they were still examu and not team arcana, Homura because Marvelous published it, Sonico as Nitroplus mascott.
You playing this makes me less ashamed to have picked it up recently. No lie, I picked it up cuz a co-worker kid cosplays Sonico. That's a brave parent 🐱👧🏻
