I love how well-cared for Sierra is, it always warms my heart to see what good care of her you take. Thanks for the gorgeous scenery, especially the opening footage of driving through the mountains!
Don't forget, we need to see that native gila trout on the tenkara too! Been a bucket list spot for me as well, but alas the cutthroat further north are always calling me! Looks like a cool spot for sure, thanks for the share!
I just got back in town and have missed a couple your shows. I have been in Junction City, Kansas at a Apostolic conference. Those temperatures really snuck up on you. They had 2 or 3 inches of snow in central Kansas. I hope it finally warmed up for you and Sierra. Gotta go. Take care and stay warm. Vaughn
Hey Vaughn! I went to college right down the street from Junction City in Manhattan. Sure had a great time at KSU, enjoyed camping in the Flint Hills and hiking at the Tallgrass National Preserve. It's a trip to see a national park in the middle of Kansas...no one every goes there so I love visiting that place when I go back to see my family. Hope your Sunday evening is nice and relaxing!
@@OffGridBackcountryAdventures I just love those hills in the Flint Hills area and the Smoky Hills region as well. I have a lot of cousins up in Concordia, Ks. One of my first cousins settled there in late 1960's. He left behind 5 sons and their families in Concordia. My cousin's granddaughter was a cheerleader for the KU Jayhawks from 2002 till 2005. I know hiss boo right? The rest of my Kansas cousins are from around Kansas City. Love your show man. Keep up the good work. Better get warm gear soon. They are calling for a cold winter. Vaughn
Don't suppose you've thought of doing an episode somewhere with enough snow to build an igloo? Did it once many years ago on a winter camp training session, but figure you'd be more likely to know what you're doing :-)

That was our campsite when we were there in July, it’s a great camp!

Man! The beard trim between segments threw me off! You should probably grow that back out for winter warmth!
I should have given everyone a heads up about the trim before that morning shot! lol
Can a four door sedan make it there?
Nice video. First wilderness area in the US, yes, but far from the largest.
Doh! My mistake!
why is your dog so well behaved thoooooooo. Mine's a real jerk- she'd take off in 1 second
