There was a bad reaction to the 57 the workers at gm did not like it they should have continued with the fins the 58 was a mistake but I love mine you just don’t see them anymore
I came here for the 58 not Bob Lutz. Every car back then was "one year only". Every year they changed the bodies. What is he talkiing about? They used the 58 frame until 64.. every year they changed it until 64 then they changed the frame and the body.
Yea not quite once you have one of these cars you’ll know a 58 is different than a 55-57 trifive chevy also 58 was the first year of the x frame and in 58 that X frame is slightly different from 59-64, go ahead try and find a floor pan for one of these cars and you’ll know it’s not even close to 59-64
@@PurplePaddy '58 even has it's own , one year only wheelbase . The '49-'57s were 115 inch wb., the '58 was 117 inches , and from '59 on they were 119 inch wb.
Gorgious
There was a recession going on in 1958 , all manufacturers sales were down that year .
QUE BONITO CARRO , YEAR 1958, V8 283 C.I. AL PARECER MUY ORIGINAL
I am not sure what you mean about "one model year for the Bel Air. They had the Bel Air from 1950 to 1981!

I think that the 1958 Chevy Bel Air and Impala Hardtops were much better looking cars than the Chrysler cars for that time.
because they looked like a loaf of bread with trim trowled on? your wrong...
This is a nice car but the fender skirts don’t belong!
