I dont freaking get how to take off the oem spoiler, like the freaking clips idk how to take em out of the trunks like they dont push in and go out what do i do, the stupid clips are annoying me
Can confirm for anyone trying to remove the factory deck-lid spoiler, the clips are a bitch. Try to force the decklid spoiler up enough for you to get a plastic scraper under it, and if you have multiple, you can use those to pry up on the spoiler. Next step is to make sure your trunk’s inner liner is removed by pulling the 9 ea clips. Once that’s done, you should see the back side of the clips, as well as one 8mm nut that is attached to the spoiler. You’ll take a flathead screwdriver to the sides of the clips and press them in, causing a slight snapping sound. This is because we created upward pressure on the clips via those scrapers or pry tools in the beginning. Once that is done, slowly remove the 8mm nut, and use a pair of pliers to grab the nut so it doesn’t fall into the depths of the trunk lol. You’ll then peel up on the spoiler using your pry tools or hands; I’d advise using the scrapers to slowly cut away at the adhesive tape/glue so you don’t have to start the process over again. Personally, working right to left helped, especially since that bolt was on the right side. Hope this helps anyone trying to do something similar with an aftermarket spoiler. ✌🏽
Mine kept going back and forth and it wouldn’t come off. My boyfriend pulled it from outside and all the clips just broke 🤦🏼♀️ and what pissed me off is that the pry tools scratched the top of my car. And I ended up full of cuts on my hand
should've covered up the holes of the old fin may rust up in future.. i got the same fin but can't get anyone to get those things off that hold it on they all say its a weird tool to get them off... what tool did you use to get them off?

You have to have tension on the spoiler by prying objects under it. Then take a flat head screw driver and press hard on the tabs on both sides. You’ll hear a snap. The clips pop in rather than popping out and lift out with the spoiler as you pull it off
I got the 2020 Honda ex-l to be honest close looking to the sports. Now I really need to do this to mine. Was thinking of a 43’ spoiler but that shit would be to tacky in my opinion.
Ok I bought the same wing , before I install it I noticed something how do you change the trunk left and right light bulb on the trunk tail lights when you just stuck that wing on top of the light? Does those lights never die? Because to remove those lights you have to remove the wing..any Idea
It fits but you will need to make different holes cause those on the sport models are more to the back and the SI's are more to the middle, unless you cut off the clips and bolts and just put it with double sided tape..

What can i use instead of the tape? would you recommend drilling holes into the trunk
trunk lips are always glued with double sided tape, spoilers are drilled in , lips are very light and good 3m double sided tape will be strong enough
