- Piaggio have just introduced this smashing little commuter scooter. It's got a great spec, looks tasty and can be yours from just £2011! That's a lot of e-scooter for not a lot of money.

This is definitely the way forward for commuter vehicles. Even better than an electric car for agility, and the removable battery is a big plus. You could ride to work and have the battery charging whilst in the office, possibly reducing the need to ever charge it up at home. I like it!
I am very excited for this scooter! The price is surprisingly low for a Piaggio! But it is made in China I believe.
Good video. I'm interested in this for a local commute. What's it like on hills? I currently use a Piaggio Zip 2t unrestricted and perfect for local commuting. My concern is hills and acceleration...... Thanks
This test ride was in London so it’s quite flat. But it has plenty of grunt in acceleration. It’s very much like a Zip to ride.
Nice E- Type 😆
the model that goes 38mph is it classed as a 50cc or more?
How is the non-active version with extended range compared to gasoline 4 stroke restricted 50cc mopeds?
In what way? It just has a longer range. It’ll out accelerate most fossil fuel 50cc scooters though..
@@ScooterLabUK Yeah in that way and in inclines. I currently own a vespa primavera 50 iget (restricted) and it has a great build quality. I consider electric and contemplate buying a piaggio one+
@@addeade231 I love the Primavera (125) but wouldn’t buy an Elettra. They’re overpriced. The 1 is a different beast though, great build quality and nice styling for a very good price. Most electric scooters will outperform a petrol equivalent on everything but price and range..
Ps, overtaking on the zigzag lines is 3-6 points.
The jaywalking lines? I thought those were just for pedestrians - that if they cross there and not at the dedicated crossing point, they can be fined (although I’ve never heard or seen anyone being fined for that!)
@@JakeM218 have you ever been to England?
@@Smarterthanyou-mthrfkr I’m English. What zigzag lines are you talking about. The ones near a pedestrian crossing??
@@JakeM218 ok, look on your Highway Code, a vehicle should not overtake in a pedestrian zone, or park, in the zigzag line areas
Going inbetween traffic no one hears you, dangerous for crossing pedestrians
Hello, can you please help me how to reset the maintenance icon ( it appears automatically around 1000km ) :((( just can't find any info anywhere about this
It’s there for a reason, usually because the scooter needs a service. Speak to your local Piaggio dealer.
@@ScooterLabUK it doesn't need a service, it turns on automatically at 1000km. The scooter is perfect, it doesn't need an oil change or filters change... I just don't know how to turn off that icon
Scooter guasto dopo un mese e dopo 22 giorni non sono venuti a capo del problema.
How much does it cost to charge it up?
a lot cheaper than petrol .. Niu nqi for example 10,000 km = 100 € in electricity
0.30 cents in europe each time you charge it.
29 miles in sport that's horrendous
I do not miss London 😂😂
Taker me beck to London jet planer head up to sky spread wings gucci gettin high took em beck t o england
1.4 kw power ? that is rather weak ? what about hills ? the NIU nqi is 1.8 kw with a working power of 2.4 KW
The 1 Active has 2KW and 3KW peak
Is this proper English?
How do you mean?
@@ScooterLabUK cockney….Awl roight…..
I don't think I can ride electric scooters or motorbikes I feel like it's so dangerous as no one can here you.....
