Dude! I love the Corvette! They are a different animal for sure. I have a 69 convertible that i am doing some fiberglass work in the floor. It would appear that the front U-joint had a catastrophic failure at some point and did a lot of damage to the floor behind the shifter. Even put a hole in the shifter console. Enjoy Big J.
Hello and welcome to our channel! Yes there's a significant learning curve for sure. John aka Big J is the right man for this car! Thanks so much for watching and for your comment. We really appreciate your participation. -steve

Thank you!!! I’ll tell you that Joe had his work cut out for him with this one!!! I sent so much video to him, and he did a great job outting it all together!!!
You Lucky Dawwggg Big J.😃 I bought a Silver '75 in '78 got ran off the road in it by a Lane Changer. Funny how Silver looks like Concrete to some. Had close friend who worked at Lansing's Biggest Chevy dealership. He had done Two Black '63 Split windows for the owner. He left & opened a body shop on the south end of Lansing. So I had my Vette towed to his Shop. We decided on the Deep Green that Oldsmobile had on their '76 & '77 Cutlasses with the Metallic Lt. Green Landau top. We used that Lt. Green for an accent color on the Vette. Bought a '78 Front pace car Spoiler & rear spoiler had a circular relief in the center because of the gas cap move of the Big Rear Window which would of looked pretty silly on the Small window Coupe. So we decided to go with a New Rear bumper cover with the Spoiler molded into it cause we could still use the tail lights. Nope!! the backside of the tail lights were different between the two different years of rear covers. Then we found out the bumper pads were also removed in '80 so that required a new 5mile an hour bumper assembly replacement. Once everthing was done in the deep olds green & light green accents along the ram air hood sides, and front spoiler edge, front quarter vents & rear spoiler edge- very lightly tastefully done_ She was a BEAUT. Looked Like Fast Air had rubbed the dark Green Off.😃Got a lot of compliments on it. IMHO It Was THEE Best Looking Vette in the Lansing Area *for awhile* Drove it a couple of months before stowing it away in my buddies garage for the Long Michigan winter. Garage caught fire the Vette burnt up down to the birdcage. Funny how fast fiberglass burns and.... The Smell... You'll Never Forget. Have Fun with it John. Big J & STEVO Merry Christmas to You & Yours this week. And You TWO thought I just Liked Cutlasses 😉😉
Merry Christmas ans Happy New Year Mr. Green!!! We here at The Auto Refinery love your story and genuinely appreciate you taking the time to share it with us! You sir are an engaged viewer and for that we are grateful. Thank you as always for watching and for playing along. We really should stop here and get NO more cars right? -steve-o

Hi Mark. We really appreciate your well informed comments! Thanks so much for your willingness to watch and to participate. It really does help us out. While it is a numbers matching engine, and while we have a great skillset in acquiring these cars, we are not as good at the selling part. hahaha For John, Joe and myself, once we start working, the sentimental value quickly exceeds real value. This vette will be with John for a good while . Thanks again for playing along and please feel free to take a look at some of our other cars and videos if your time allows. until next time.... -steve
It is numbers matching, but this one’s gonna be a little sweaty. Hopefully my kids get involved with the build since it will be for one of them. Thanks for watching.

Good afternoon. Yeah I'm sure that '76 was a bit of a let down..... No secret there. Truth be told, if this was anything newer than a '73, I don't think John would've expressed any real interest for that exact reason!!!. Thanks so much for watching. Much more to come. -steve
