Some of the best restoration work in the world comes out of home garages! Thanks for the videos! Keep up the great work! God bless you and your family!
You started with a car that would have been scrap a couple years ago, however it turns out you’re probably still ahead considering you’re doing it yourself. Great video. Can’t wait for the finished product.
It's amazing that you can buy new body panels for such an old car. Looking at the amount of metal removed, there is almost no original metal left. It will be practically a new car in terms of bodywork. Cool work and filming, it's not easy to film something like this either, great job! Is it possible to register such a car after restoration?
Thank you!! Ya it is really nice to have the new panels. Without them, I don't think this car would ever be saved which would be a shame. And it is definitely possible to register. There's different processes in each state but even without paperwork you can usually get it inspected and certified by the state's highway patrol or dmv employees. In my case, I have the original vin intact and the title so it won't be any issue.
Wow, if your car was a house, the common analogy would be, it was gutted to the studs. In your case, the car was gutted with one or two studs remaining in the entire structure. Great Work!
You’re doing a great job on a car that was inches from crusher. You need to tune out any of this “real car” BS I see elsewhere in the comments. My attitude is “OK smart guy, show us YOUR car”.
Glad I checked your latest project, I'm sure you got this one..most of your metalwork is top notch..they're definitely not the hack jobs of amateurs thinking who'll know if they can't see it!?! Anyways, can't wait for the next video on your '73 Cuda..one question, do you do all this work by yourself..I ask myself..during & after your video!?! If the answer is yes, I salute you sir.. Unbelievable!!! Good Luck on it all.
@@user-jt4cq8bk9d Thank you! I really appreciate the support! Ya it’s just me. I get occasional help from my mom, girlfriend, or a friend but otherwise just me trying to work on way too many things lol
I think its worth it to save it for sure. I'd love to see more of these on the road than another silly Cybertruck 😂. As for it being worth the investment... we shall see lol
well, its not the worst i've seen...although usually its a high dollar car like a big block Cuda or Boss 302. this one is cool tho in that it's got 3 pedals...not too many of those in 74...hopefully it came with a VIN and fender tag. this would be a fun project if one has the time, space, money, and tools...looks like you got most of all that! will enjoy watching this come together.
It was kind of unique. It was originally a 340 4 speed but had 4 wheel drum. No fender tag but have the vin and title. I paid $6k for it plus a trailer and rotisserie.... probably overpaid at this point but I never started restoring these cuz it made sense monetarily lol. I appreciate the support!!
@@rowlandrestorations If it's a 1974, shouldn't it have been a 360? The 340 was discontinued at the end of '73, I think. If this was a 360, you have the rare final-year 'Cuda (well, what's left of it). What do you plant to put in it (engine, transmission, rear, I mean)?
Ooh I think you're right. I just did a quick search on the VIN when I bought the car so I went off of that. No fender tag to find out more. 6.4 hemi, TR6060 6 speed, Coilver conversion and a custom rear independent suspension
@@rowlandrestorations Hard to imagine the fender tag was gone... 😁😁😁. This is definitely a labor of love. Great work on the body, and superb camera work, too!

@@brianbloom1799 jeez that is a fortune for that time. Even today actually. Wow though, if you were fixing cars worse than this I’m seriously impressed. Must’ve been pretty cool to run a restoration shop though
Oh no, I cut ALL of the frame rails out. There was nothing left of anything below the roof and there's still patches I'll have to make on some of the structure. And no frame jig 🫠
@rowlandrestorations that's insane. Granted there was a lot of Swiss cheese you would've been better off replacing it after you set the rest. Good luck
Mostly Dynacorn, yes. There are a few AMD panels but it was what was available and most cost effective. Some of the AMD stuff was 2 times the cost of Dynacorn. Not necessarily worth it and I can adjust the panels as needed to make it all work.
@@brianbloom1799 damn spot welds make me want to throw all the tools lol. These were the cheap harbor freight ones though. As long as you don’t push too hard they work alright
