NekoVira it’s best to not think like that. I personally force myself to think negatively about stuff like this, saying we’ll probably only get 2-3 more fighters plus echoes. That way, if they show off anything surprising I’m happy, but I’m still satisfied if they’re telling the truth.

Played 1000+ hours of ultimate and this is announcement is still hype. And still learning new things. Just things like wario being able to taunt on bike, rob's fuel gauge, and also just appreciating the micro spacing on shots like this 2:22
Best reveal of any game, ever. Hands down. We got one teaser four or five months before this, where all we learned was, "Some Smash game is coming to Switch!", and we knew Inkling would be in it, as well as Link from Breath of the Wild. Given that it had only been a few years since the last DLC released for Smash 4, most people assumed it would be an enhanced port of that game, a "Smash 4.5", if you will. But this reveal, man...nobody expected this. Not only is it decisively not a port, with a brand new engine and the game remade from scratch, but Sakurai and the development team went far above and beyond to deliver an experience everyone could enjoy, and they nailed it. The fighter introduction video was carefully crafted to ensure that the maximum hype would be reached by fans. Start small, with the veterans from Smash 64, build it by revealing some fighters people expected to be in the game, but not revealed right away, show some returning cut characters, new designs, returning and updated stages, third-party and DLC characters from Smash 4, before throwing Snake in there so everyone loses their minds. While their brains are leaking out their ears, slam "EVERYONE IS HERE!" on the screen, let people get halfway through thinking, "What does that mean? Does that mean every fight-", before you quickly reveal Pichu, probably the least likely fighter to ever be brought back, so that everyone knows that yes, you are bringing back EVERYONE. The rest of the reveal is reveling in that, and showing that Sakurai listens to fans complaints and concerns. Even Echo Fighters were genius; people hated Lucina and Dark Pit in Smash 4 because they were seen as being on equal footing with the other characters and either as roster padding or stealing spots away from more desirable characters. By saying, "Hey, these guys are based on other characters, and aren't considered full-fledged fighters", Sakurai not only shut up people who complained about them, but got people to start wanting MORE clones, and making Echo Fighter wish lists. And ending with Ridley showed that Sakurai did indeed listen to fans, that the ballot wasn't in vain, and that just because people thought a character or idea was impossible in the past didn't mean anything going forward. I don't know how many times I've seen this reveal now, both with and without reactions from streamers. I don't know where Nintendo goes after this with Smash 6, but they better be smart about how they reveal it. This was a marketing masterclass.
You can tell the difference between casual and competitive players from all the Smash reactions just by how quiet EZA got during the Technique changes lol
I'm not fond of the loudness myself but the lack of any of them freaking out felt weird. They're just going "oh, that's cool." and then falling silent I feel less like I'm watching a reaction and more like I'm watching a news confrence.

The Easy Allies reactions don’t build their brand on lul reactions, but instead being realistic. I remember watching this E3 reveal in a meeting room by myself at work. When Snake appeared I was like “Ohhhhh cool!” Then “Everyone is here” showed and I said to myself “Ah! That’s another misdirection from Sakurai!” I wasn’t jumping around like a crazed ape in excitement cause there wasn’t a camera on me. I have no desire to embarrass myself pretending I’m so unique from others.
Daisy echo fighter and Ridley satisfied me for new announcements. So happy to see Young Link and Snake return. I hope to see Chrom as an Ike echo fighter and at least one or two new characters - Spring Man with a Ribbon Girl female variant and Rex with Pyra as a duo.
I don’t think we’ll be seeing Chrom come as an echo fighter. There are, according to the Smash website, two empty character slots after Ridley, and I don’t think Sakurai would be willing to add yet another Fire Emblem character in place of two unique fighters. I’m also not sure about Spring-Man, but I don’t know why. I’m willing to bet that these two upcoming fighters are going to be from series unheard of in Smash before, because, ya know, it’s the ultimate edition. This is all, of course, speculation and in faith that the two empty character slots are actually character slots and not just empty space. They could be a red herring idk I’m not Sakurai.

People underestimate how happy I was to see that female Pokémon Trainer. She’s not just any trainer, that’s Leaf. She first showed up in the Kanto remakes and never appeared again, while Red showed up in almost every game. It’s amazing that Leaf’s second appearance is in such a selective and honorable game.
I like how being able to play a Female Pokemon trainer got more of a reaction than being able to change pokemon mid battle with no consequences when just using one.

Also Snake had an entire shpiel with having license issues since Konami is well...Konami. Also Cloud, and Ryu were pretty much DLC characters and later on we got King K. Rool, Ryu, and Incineroar so yea.

It would be cool if they made final destination like Melee’s and Brawl’s final destination as Battlefield and Omega.
I don't get why people are impressed by the fact that there are 8 different kind of Villagers. That was already in the previous game.
