I miss the great Al McGuire from his NBC announcing days: " He is Uptown ! ", " It's about to be Seashells and Balloons " ,,, " ACC Coaches, Grow Up -- are you forgetting it's Michael Jordan ? " " ... " I thought Coach needed to Call a Timeout there -- now it looks like it's gonna be Tap City " He was one of the all-time Best !

He coined the term "The Three Basketeers" (Sidney Moncrief/Marvin Delph/Ron Brewer); he should've copyrighted it because some corporation has cashed in and I heard the term used on a "Friends" episode in the 90's.
They were the Triplets. Moncreif was a Jr. For 78 final four team. Next year Moncrief led Arkansas to regional final losing by 2 to Birds Indiana St team by 2. Depaul had them on ropes and game them game.

I had the honor of being coached by one the greatest high school basketball coaches in IL histroy. He loved Al McGuire. What a treasure.

I went to Creighton. As a guy who went to a Jesuit, I LOVE Al Maguire! What made him great was his relationship with his players! Untucked jerseys!

One of the greatest most underrated coaches/humans are to walk the world. Could coach a game and be on Johnny Carson 5 min later.
