Searching for Giant Anacondas in Colombia!

- On todays adventure, we are taking you on a wild ride deep into the wetlands of Colombia. South America is home to the largest snake on earth and second longest snake on the planet, the Green Anaconda. We are staying in small village on the edge of a palm farm and large wetlands. We spent our first day going around town after hearing rumors of huge snakes nearby and gathering intel where to search for the giant snakes.
Afterwards we take you to a local Zoo in Colombia where they rescued an incredibly RARE ALBINO ANACONDA that was found and unfortunately harmed by farm workers. They were able to save the anaconda and now it's on display, this is one of the ONLY ALBINO ANACONDAS in the world. While in the field we did find lots of other amazing animals besides snakes, including squirell monkeys and Brown Capuchins, the same species of monkey as Kaylee. the 4k uploads really change things, no more big pixel and amazing details on animal shots!
Yes thank you for your help with it. We started using a different computer and a got better internet FINALLY. Our old internet took 12-20 hours to upload a 8-10 minute video in 720p would take 2-3 days for 4k then crash. It was frustrating bc the animal footage is all taken in 4k and was painful to see what happened once uploaded to Y T
There's so many Ticks up north it's crazy. Big ones!! 8 years ago i could find many in Phillie area, indiana, ny, new england. Now we have it in Canada. Nice video!
I'm used to seed ticks from herping the NJ Pine Barrens. We use tape lint rollers to get them off.
Unfortunately there was no where to buy lint rollers or tape in the small village we were staying in, a mistake we won’t make again. But also we hope we never have to deal with ticks like that again
That albino anaconda has amazing contrast in color absolutely dope.

😂😂😂😂 kinda bummed bc the last day we found where the wildlife was all at then had to leave. I think we could have pulled an anaconda if we had more time where we found the cappy. It was a lot of dead end leads.
However as you know nothing more satisfying than going out all on your own just picking places on the map, going and finding your target! Maybe next time, somewhere else with less ticks 😂
@@TobiesTroop Hey, that's just a reason to go back. We miss our targets on purpose so I have an excuse to tell my wife why I'm going back "again". She thinks I'm a terrible herper which is fine. 😆

Took us a LONG time to get here, a couple things allowed us, we don’t have kids #1, we don’t go out to eat more than once a week, we also don’t go out doing anything besides wildlife stuff, we are a 1 car family (another big one). We have several travel credit cards that way most of our flights and even stays are paid for… we don’t take expensive tours we guide ourselves and stay at very cheap and affordable places when we do travel. It’s taken a lot of years to line us up so we can live this way and it’s still difficult but it’s worth it

@@TobiesTroop seen video one shows up walking through forest df during the day. Mostly active at dwlight dusk night th time. Look for very large under ground holes where they may use. Indeed it would be outrageous to see one in the wild. Gosh it would be thrill of a life time.

We have 3 animal care takers, who all do a great job looking after the animals
Spray down real good with OFF before you go out next time and you'll notice a huge difference in having less ticks of any kind.
Douse your feet and/or shoes especially.
1 really big problem in Colombia…. No off! We were told by locals to use raid in our clothes!

It looks like it was a fun adventure, can't always get every animal you want to video, there would be no reason to go back.

Very very good point but ya know that’s half the fun for us is the adventure. We know if we do a tour we will see more, but we don’t want to be walked up to stuff, ya know we like to suffer out there trying to figure it out lol
