fellow allotment owner here. first time seeing your channel and feeling the vibe. going into my 3rd year at my allotment plot and can still say to this day every year is different. even helping feed the allotment dog "fox" and getting to help different people with their plots is and amazing feeling. love watching people progress and see how they are getting along so wish you all the best in your growing. im in east london and the community is amazing. good luck and good harvesting.
Thanks so much for the message.. what's your biggest takeaway... advice from being 3 years in, if you don't mind me asking? The allotment community seems so kind and supportive 😀
@@WearyWolfAdventures speak to the old timers, soak in advice like they are passing it on to their kids. never be afraid to ask any questions regardless how dumb you might think they are. if you arent sure on something ask and ask again. people with experience would rather see you succeed than fail. i also agree with your snack box. hot chocolate will win more wars in the cold than not lol. also never be afraid of thinking am i doing this wrong. if it grows, you win. if it takes longer to grow, plant it earlier. as long as the last frost is gone you are good to grow.. see what i did there... ill get me coat..
@B1GDAVE81 🤣... great advice... I do consider this first year to be the biggest learning curve and the year of experimenting to see what grows and what i should maybe avoid... exciting times ahead 😀
Yeah we got the snow up here in North Wales! ☃️ Snacks are crucial in this weather!!! Just found your channel, looking forward to following this year 😊
I enjoyed the video again. Now I have caught up with you so no more binging. Looking forward to you planting your spinach and other cold hardy greens :)
Your garden is coming along nicely. I know that I'm from across the pond and all. But some of the things you say I don't know what they are. Like the tip. I think that is what you said. Is that like a trash or recycling dump. It is fascinating to hear these word I don't know what they mean. I like how you are so personable in the allotment videos. You should carry it over when doing the rations too. (Not a complaint) I really enjoy watching your videos. Great job brother and sister.❤😎
Thanks, mate. Yes, recycling dump 😀 i try to keep the rations straight to the point and less chatty... following the style of mre content I enjoy watching...I enjoy the allotment stuff it feels more relaxed and sociable 😀
Totally agree, especially the make do part... I need to be careful starting out that I don't get carried away buying unnecessary things and overdoing it whilst I work out what works in the new plot 😀
Great video, sub'd! Im new to the allotment game, jusst been a few months so great to get tips on where i should be starting in Jan. Looking forwards to watching your progress :) Hayley
It's great to meet you, Hayley 😀 I upload allotment content on the weekends and other types of content in the week... hopefully, we can help each other along this journey. I'm always looking for advice and tips from people and their experiences 💙
Sorry for late reply friends. Behind still. Always check on your local pub, er, neighbors . Agreed. Weather your way looks as chilly as mine. Weather here is not pleasant, LOL. By starting as early as you did, month or so ago, allotment should be ready by springtime. Bird house looks cool. Has to be repurposed someway. Unsure if you have birds called Martins your way. We have multi level bird houses for them, but openings are smaller. Unsure what birds those were intended for? Nice snacks, well deserved. Hot cups of brew should have went nicely. Colder brew later, probably worked too. LOL. I wish you all the best of luck on your project. There will be sore muscles, and aches during the process. I know you are aware of this. I state the obvious, LOL. Your manure provider, seems happy. Glad you got back inside eventually. I hope plans go according to schedule. I wish you all luck. Be careful of planting seeds inside too early. Easy to misjudge. Your weather varies from mine , so you may be able to go by your own schedule. Peace to you and yours. Stay warm, Stay safe. John. Wow, mate! You have lost some serious weight! That's impressive 👏 I keep a few extra stones on just for warmth... we have pound coins ( £ ), so when someone tells me iv lost a few pounds... I crack out a dad joke and say, " Oh no, did they fall out of your wallet... il help you find them" never gets a laugh 😅

Cold snap it's 40 today 😂 garden looking. Good nothing beats a tip run enjoy coffee and snacks and hope everyone well take care ❤️❤️❤️
Enjoy the heat... it's warmed up a bit here today 🙌 😆💙
I like tea but I’ve never had it with creamer I think I’ll give it a try I really like Earl Grey
It's much better with milk 🥛
My allotment is frozen solid up in Yorkshire. Even the tips shut 😢
You guys have had the brunt of the weather 😔
Dang how cold does it get there
Cold 🥶 lots of frosts in the winter.. frozen ice, ect, but we don't often get snow down here... up north have snow at the moment.
We are getting snow right now in Washington DC expecting up to 12 inches
Wow... don't think we have ever had 12 inch's of snow! Do you mind mind the cold? I actually struggle more in the heat 🙃

True 😅
any reason why you can not have a bonfire
On the cards 👍
care of bird houses.wear a mask
Will do 😷
Not allowed bonfires on my allotment either, it is against the allotment rules due to risk of fire spreading and pollution
I'm on private land... so I can have a bonfire.. would need consider the neighbours tho 🤔
