I love the advice WW! Anything you can do to keep organic is so much better. It's amazing how important bugs can be for your plants! I totally understand the time commitment too. Amazing as always to watch you on this journey!!
Thanks mate 💙
you should of left the leaves on the rhubarb they would of help to feed the plants a bit when rotting down also add a bit of the pooo u have just a thin layer keep the good work up
Ok thanks, should I wait for some green shoots now before adding some manure.. or go ahead and add some 🤔
New viewer from West Virginia, USA: my guess for those mysterious bulbs would be to guess that they might be narcissus bulbs. For some reason, they seem to grow and split in lines, versus concentric rings. Just a guess though, since you've planted them, we will see what they reveal themselves to be.
Thanks for checking in... will keep everyone updated on the bulbs and look forward to seeing what comes up 😀
Excuse me, waiter, waiter I don’t like to complain, but there is some soup on my bugs
🤣🤣
Yum
Awesome video we only got fruit trees no room for vegetables they survived extremely hot dry weather lucky my wife waters them regularly we have worm farm. Plenty of compost we deal with fruit fly also we the wife got about 60 frangipani plants the wife is obsessed with them😂😂😂😂 hope you and family are doing well 🙏🙏 we are surviving this bloody heat wave 😮😮
Had to look up frangipani plants... they have beautiful flowers and can see why she is obsessed 😀 sickness bug doing its rounds, but other than that, we are all good.. stay safe in that heat mate 💙
@@WearyWolfAdventures cheers thank you
excellent advice and well found. been putting a lot of work in over the allotment this month and in the process of clearing the back of the plot and building raised beds. My mrs even suggested growing strawberries in guttering along the fence line which i was was sat in the shed contemplating yesterday. even in year 3 we havent designated growing areas yet. apart from the beans and things. so hyped for getting in this years stuff. even found a tubing potato on the ground the other day and after all the snow and ice i planted it as a free try our luck lol. grill em, fry em, stick em in a stew! potato!
Awesome 😀 gutter strawberries sounds like a fun project! Picked up some first early Duke of Yorks on the weekend ready for chitting this week 😀 storm on the way this coming weekend, so more greenhouse clearing... might even tackle the grapevine greenhouse.. it's like something out of jumanji 🙃
I agree grow what you eat and eat what you grow but I like to try one or two things just to make it fun. Some awesome tips 👍👍. Have a fab day, Ali 🥶🇨🇦
Yeah, experimenting is fun 😀 I'm trying purple cabbage and turnips this year 😀
Thanks for the tips, I can't wait to start on mine, whilst keeping your tips in mind. In my previous garden I had a veg space and a lot of courgettes so learned a few recipes to use them all up.
Thanks mate... if you enjoyed the courgettes check out ufo squash.. actual name patty pan... great for cooking and easy to grow 😀
@@WearyWolfAdventures I've got a huge list of things I want to try so I'll get myself into it slowly! Love pumpkin pie, so any decent edibles will be great to plan out.
I avoided the biggest mistake of all, for me personally, I didn't start an allotment to begin with 😂! Good advice here mate! Cheers!
That proper made me laugh 🤣

Very informative. It takes up a lot of your time. We used to have a garden when I was little. I had a choy for every second after school then. Great video.❤😎
Thanks, mate, gardens and allotments are very time intensive. 💙

Hey Matt! 👊👊
Oooh, handy. After being away from gardening for about 4 years I take on my first ever allotment next week. Can't wait for your next vid.
That's awesome. Have you seen your new plot? If so, what condition is it in 😀 would love to hear about your progress as you get stuck in... also do i see a 40k model on your profile?
@@WearyWolfAdventures Hello mate, I haven't seen the plots yet, apparently there is a choice as they kicked a couple off due to them being not looked after. Yes, it's a scheme I did for Imperial Guard. Just finishing a Marine army at the mo, then selling that to finish a Nid army. I just paint up armies to sell them on. Good for winter. I can't wait to start with whatever plot I can get my hands on.
Exciting stuff... hopefully, one of them has a decent greenhouse and / or shed... that can make starting out a lot cheaper and easier 😀 I'm on private land with my plot at the moment whilst I wait for a council run allotment site ( long waiting list )... that's an awesome winter project... I just got back into warhmammer with my son.. he collects chaos, and i picked up some goblins 😁 started using the army painter speed paints 2.0 and think they are fantastic!
@WearyWolfAdventures yes the speed paints are excellent and give a nice result. Good luck with the gaming. Only just found your channel yesterday, subbed already. Viewing the plot on Monday so we'll see what's been left behind. I love onions too, so that'll be the first to get in.
That sounds good. Keep me updated... putting up my first tips video later today... 8 mistakes to avoid when starting an allotment.. I would love your feedback if you get a chance to watch it 😀
Playing catch up watching some videos. Finally watched your Norwegian review, and the main sounds yummy. I have some salmon at home, and I hadn’t decided what to do with it. Mixing it with a creamy noodle sauce sounds like a good idea! So nice to see your beautiful daughter. I’m glad she liked the ration too. Thanks for another great review!
Thank you, paitons not feeling well at the moment we were going to film another random lays chips flavours video tonight, but she is in bed resting 😔 will get to it when she feels better..since that review I made some salmon with creamy noodles... and cod with creamy noodles 😋 both delicious 😀
@ Praying that Paiton gets well soon. So sorry that she is sick. I will look forward to more videos featuring you and your family.
Thank you x
I like fried dace with black bean from a frying pan (drain some of the excess oil before hand) and egg fried rice with with some Chinese greens & diced garlic (Chinese lad but born and bred in Lancashire)
That's the recipe I'm going back to with the canned fried dace in black bean 😀
Very cool my friend. Congrats on the subs. You are coming along nicely on the allotment. The coffee looks like it would have came in handy, and tasted good. All of your reviews, whatever subject, are enjoyable to watch Mate. I hope all of your plans on the allotment work out nicely. We will continue watching your progress. I am still curious as to what the mystery bulbs will be, LOL. Stay safe, stay warm. I hope all are well friend. Peace, John. ATB.
Thanks mate and good to see your review yesterday 😀 rugby went well not sure if I replied to that already 🙃
It's 45 today heatwave in. Western Australia my poor garden 😮 looking good mate doing amazing job hope you and family are good well. Are the sirens for you mate 😂😂😂 i love all your videos mate 🎉🎉🎉
Yeah... they can't find me down the allotment! I'm safe there 🤣 honestly don't know how you cope with the heat 🔥☀️
@WearyWolfAdventures lmao 🤣🤣 yeah mate it's hard to sleep eat thank God for air conditioning 🙏🙏🥶
I would have to hide indoors all day 😅 sleeping would get to me! I love a cold room and a thick duvet.. when we go abroad on holiday i hide in the shade mate 🤣🤣
Congrats on 1k 🎉🎉 keep the content coming. That’s a great little coffee maker kit. Our garden centre opens in Feb 😢 or is tha5 a good thing 😂. Have an amazing week, Ali 🥶🥶🇨🇦
Thank you x that's one of many camping kits for making drinks 🙃 I'm sure I'll work my way through them all in the allotment diaries. I like to mix it up a bit.. does your garden centre shut throughout the winter, then? Always dangerous going to them, especially on the wallet 🤣 have a fantastic week 💙
@ yes they close from Dec 22 to Feb 5 but that’s ok like you sat could be dangerous open when the itch hits 🤣🤣 to sow
that's interesting. Ours are open all year long, and most have lovely cafés that do cooked breakfasts 😋 i think i have all the seeds I need for this year now.. picked up some seed potatoes as well... I'm thinking about trying pumpkins grown straight on top of a manure pile! heard they flourish on them 😀
1000!!!! AWESOME and well deserved! With all those onions I would love to see you try your hand at making a homemade French Onion Soup! I detest onions....but French Onion soup is one of my favorite foods on this earth when done right. Too bad mre soup mix couldn't have a pa k of that in it! Take care!
You will have to remind me when I harvest them.. I'd love to try and make it 😀
Congratulations on exceeding 1000 followers! Really enjoying following the progress on your garden! God bless, take care.
Thank you 😊 can't wait to share this coming growing season 😀
Thank you.

I enjoy all the videos you do they are interesting and you and your family are awesome
Thanks, mate.. I'm glad i opted to share content on all my hobbies and not niche down to just a specific subject like mres... I have more fun creating all forms of content 😃
Do you guys get snow there? Or frost? I was just wondering if there is a chance of frostbite to the plants. Do those have like some anti freezing agent? Great video. Plants are coming right along.❤😎
We get hard a hard frost throughout winter last can be as late as may! Very rare, we get snow down here in Hampshire, tho. always amazes me.the resilience of onions and garlic growing through winter. How's your weekend been 💙
@WearyWolfAdventures Weekend has been nice. I received my mre's. It didn't take me ten minutes till I was digging into it. I ate the whole breakfast meal. The thing is that I didn't have anything for the rest of the day. It was pretty good. I would say a great weekend. 😎❤
Any weekend involving a mre is a good weekend, mate 😄
Happy to see you after the last video 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I was sure Vicky was going to choke you 🤣🤣🤣

Another nice video. Also I think that you will get to 5000 subscribers by the end of the year. The mistakes to avoid video sounds like a great idea. I have got to say that although many people say that plants with strong smells deter pests (insects) …. there is a problem with this statement. Insects do not have the same ‘sense of smell’ as humans and there is very little scientific evidence that smells deter any pests. Companion planting is really just a way of saying that if you Inter plant many different plant species then you don’t have a concentration of plants to attract a specific pest. I believe that the only proven example of a viable ‘companion’ is marigolds- specifically African marigold, and only then if the marigolds are panted in the same rows as the crops to be protected.
5000 by the end of the year would be unbelievable... mind you, I thought 500 in the first year would be unachievable 🙃 I have read a lot on companion planting and so many differing opinions and research.. fancy trying it and testing out a theory... i read the taste and smell of onions, specifically its sulphur compounds, irritate and deter rats, and mice 🤔
These are great videos, keep up the good work. Also your candor last week was very nice
Thank you.. 💙
Norway here, we do have some AWESOME MRE's..but be sure to pick the ones with darker meat❤
Hi there... you sure do 💙
Looks good, I'd enjoy all that
It's a shame I put too much water in.. lesson learned on this menu 👍
I like these reviews better then Chinese ones they look better and taste better another mire reviewer me ancient just did a video on the Australia mire mind you got his facts wrong when he noted Australia is a small island 😂😂😂😂 it a big island hope everyone is doing well 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Britain is a small island... Australia is a massive island. These are my favourite at the moment... I'm still looking for an aussie one 😬
@@WearyWolfAdventures I know it's hard to find and expensive I bet .
Will get my hands on one eventually 😀
🤣🤣🤣 she’s going to strangle you when she sees this video 🤣🤣🤣
She knows... let's just say it was a good job. I cleaned up 😅
Very cool my friend. Good looking meal. I think you ate well and enjoyed most. Take care, keep warm. Peace, John. I wish you luck with finding new rations. ATB.
Thanks mate, found a few Spanish ones i want to pick up at the end of the month 😀
@@WearyWolfAdventures , suggestion only. Save A biscuit or 2 out of Breakfast portion for lunch or dinner. Lunch and dinner usually have none. Also, hydration salts included, can be mixed with water, or, put powder in mouth, and chase with A shot of water. Spanish army, put powder in mouth, then drink water. Either way, you will not like taste, but it does serve intended purpose. LOL. Peace.
Thanks mate I will.try and remember it.. the ones I'm looking are single meals?
@@WearyWolfAdventures , all I have seen are single meals. I am sure there is A 24 Hr. ration, but I have never seen any, or seen one reviewed. Breakfast, has toothbrush, toothpaste, hydration drinks, biscuits, coffee or tea, and minimal real mains. Lunch, dinner, have big mains, coffee, tea, or cold drink . Usually just 2. All have more hydration salts, toothpaste, napkins. Usually, all biscuits are in Breakfast menu? Some have soup additions, other extras, jam etc. All have hand sanitizer creme. Some canned fruit is included occasionally. This is based on meals I have tried. Newer versions, may have changed? Sweetened condensed usually in Breakfast as well. This may help your choices, if newer meals are made the same? Peace, John.
Always bring fantastic knowledge, thanks, John
Looks good I’m about to watch the full video 👍🏾
Thank you. I hope you enjoy the full review 😀
Very nice review. The main looks tasty. I’m not a fan of pate, but crunchy oat biscuits are usually good. I like to dip them in tea. I wish mre’s would always include a tea bag because many of them have biscuits or cookies. I like to watch your mre reviews when I’m enjoying a meal alone. It’s hard for my family to have a meal together because everyone is busy with work, school, or going out with their friends. I often dine with you lol. Sometimes you have a better meal than me! Take care, and God bless.
Love that we share that across the channel 💙 the British ones have tea bags in them majority of the time... family life is hectic, isn't it! Kids clubs are in full swing, and it's not too often I get to share a review with them at the moment. Have a great weekend
try the old German MRE not the MRE in the plastic bag - the old ones are ok, the new ones just feed you
Do you mean the German einmannpackung EPA boxed ration - 24 hours?
@WearyWolfAdventures Yes, and they still Producer IT normally a solider gets the normal once but the stuff in plastic bags only Special forces because of weight or no normal EPA available
I've seen them on mre-uk il pick a few up on my next order 👍
@@WearyWolfAdventures I just saw they have just the freeze dryed .. I think you would to taste the other ones - no idea if you can get it in the UK
Il take a look for both the freeze dried and standard ones 😀
Sweeeeettt! And perfect timing.....guess what showed up at my door yesterday!!!??? A whole case of these. Best by date of Jan2027. My menu 19 is not Creamy Pasta with Pork, rather it is Cod in a creamy curry sauce. I actually dont have the main you have at all!!! I feel robbed! I got 3 Cods, menus 18, 19, and 24. Enjoy and take care!
Weird how they differ from the described menus? What menu are you going to try first? 😀
@WearyWolfAdventures that's a great question I've been pondering....I think the cod in creamy curry sauce. If I recall right you've reviewed that one....may have to watch that again to get ready!
I had creamy salmon pasta, which was delicious 😋 I want to try the cod, tho that sounds delicious.. sold out where I normally buy mine at the moment
Had the Chocolate Muesli! It was the best choc muesli I have had, even better than the French and British. Menu came with the muesli, raisins, salted/roasted peanuts, chocolate bar (60%), gum and a lemon energy drink. Absolutely stunning menu components. I am thoroughly impressed thus far. Can't wait to try the others!
They are so good 😋 definitely up there in the top rations 👌
Onion weeder or some call it onion hoe, love your enthusiasm and teamwork.
Teamwork makes the dream work 😀 just googled onion hoe, and it's slightly different.. and now I want to try one out 😅
The Norwegian mre is top notch. It seems you can't go wrong with them. The ones I've had were amazing. I will be receiving my us cold weather mre's tomorrow. So excited. I've never had one. Can't wait to see your videos on the American ones. What a great review. ❤😎
I'm trying the famous piizza Slice, and this weekend 😋 iv also been looking at some Spanish mres that look delicious 😋 hope your well mate..

Love the condiments.
Plenty of them 😁
Love these! Awesome WW

Hey mate, first visit. It's always good to see someone switched on to how great compost worms are. The worms don't like light so they are unlikely to try to escape through those holes unless the conditions inside get very bad. Just make sure to keep lots of carbon in there (Leaves and cardboard/paper) compared to veg scraps. Cheers! ps. Listen to AJ he knows his stuff.😊
Thank you for the tips 😀 very grateful for yours and Aj's advice... so far, so good with the worms... I'm careful not to get too enthusiastic and overload the setup with kitchen scraps 🙃
