    This is my take. I own a 23' model 3 performance which I brought new in June (I've had mine for 6 months now) but I wish I got the model y. Considering the insignificant price difference, model y brings way more to the table than the 3. If you want a car that feels more driver oriented and don't really haul/carry passengers, get the 3. If you want a roomier car with a lot more space and practicality, get the Y. I personally think the 3 looks good and the Y is a little ugly, but the practicality of the Y makes up for it. That's the main reason why I didn't get the Y. I am also not really an SUV guy. Other than that, there should be no reason you should get the 3 over the y unless you really just care about the driving experience and speed. I test drove the y in performance variation, and the cornering was not as planted as the 3. You could really feel the disadvantage of it being a taller vehicle. Other than that, it has a slightly lower top speed than 3 perf (155 compared to 162), but the acceleration feels damn near the same. Model Y is the overall best pick in my opinion.

    I don't think you mentioned a single advantage of the 3 over the Y How about the most important advantage of all, it's thousands of dollars cheaper! And, because the 3 is smaller, lighter, and has to push less air out of the way, it gets more range for your electric buck! And because it's less expensive, the 3 can be cheaper every year to insure than the model Y.

    Well both are good vehicles, I went the other way from others and wanted the model Y Hatchback style for more storage space needed. I currently have the 2023 model Y LR vehicle and it fits all my driving needs. I don't need the "Need for Speed" that most want. I think 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds is good enough for me, but I don't go racing around on the highways and hardly ever need this acceleration driving around town.

      Model Y is also very sporty for an SUV. IMO, it's the obvious winner since you can actually see shit around your car, it's far more comfortable, and feels like a sedan in how it drives. • @aaronlimitless
    @aaronlimitless ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I disagree with some of the stuff for example, the trunk closing it’s just a beep it doesn’t matter if anything Tesla cheap out on the model Y by making the sound go through the speakers because now it’s not a dedicated sound coming from the button. A.k.a. was cheaper for them to have a go through the speakers not a big deal either way.
    And mention the panoramic roof while it somewhat looks better not having the rollover bar going through the middle it’s not all one piece like you claim they pretty much just did it backwards. If you look in the model Y you can see the second piece of glass go where the hatchback part is versus in the model three that glass goes all the way down to the back , it’s just a different design is all but you’re still getting the broken up glass. It just depends on where
    Most of the things mentioned really aren’t that big of a difference at least in the fact that I don’t feel like there should’ve been two different models because there’s not enough difference between the two certainly not enough to justify that big of a difference of price
    Also, the simple fact that it’s a hatchback is a deal killer for me. I don’t care how nice the model Y becomes for that reason I would never buy it.

      @@wemakecookie Wether or not you charge at home or at a public place. No matter where you charge. One of the improvements that many of us are looking for is the ability to fully charge from absolute 0 to 100 percent in 3.5 to 7 minutes, the same amount of time it takes to fully fuel a regular car. My cousin has one of tesla's so called, (long range) EVs. With his home charging apparatus, he's paying an additional 50, 60 dollars on his electric bill. The same amount of money i pay monthly to fully fuel my Jaguar XJl. He has a range of 333, i have a tange of 515. As far as maintenance, I don't know who told you that EVs are perfect but heres the truth. It doesn't matter what kind of car you drive, Gas, electric, solar, hydrogen or even a luke Skywalker car that floats on air, all cars need to be cared for. Infact, everything you buy and own in life needs care. Those specialty tires you have to handle the weight of your EV will need replaced sooner or later and they cost more than a standard tire. Sooner or later you godda do them breaks. The little tiny electric engine you have has moving parts also. And I rather replace a transmission at 3 to 5 thousand dollars than replace those batteries at 15 to 20 thousand dollars. Then there's all that fancy complext computer crap on the monitor that sits in the middle of your plain jane, 2by4 looking dashboard. Pray you never get a glitch in it or get hacked like my cousin's did. He paid 800 dollars to get that fixed and rebooted. I know this because i loaned him 550 dollars towards it. I'll take the care and keep of my jag all day for the range it provides me with, Hell yeah!! All im saying is, improve the EV with these few minutes or less of down times and with a longer range of atleast 500 miles, Now we're talkin!!! I will be at the gates to buy one. Till then ill waite.Otherwise, im going to do what most people dont and that is to leave well enough alone.......

      @@carlsmith5545 Charging at home is almost always cheaper than gas, typically around 1/5 the cost. Your cousin may pay the same as you monthly because he drives more, unless he has very expensive electricity. EVs on average need a lot less maintenance because they don't have many moving parts that are much more likely to break down. Battery failures are extremely rare, but yes they are expensive if it were to happen. You don't need 5 minute charging if you charge at home, as you have a full charge everyday anyways. 5 minute charging would be nice for road trips though. But with superchargers on road trips you don't wait that long and it gives you time to stretch and eat, so it's kinda an exaggerated issue. It sounds like you enjoy your vehicle and it works fine for you, so that's great.
