- And here is my 10k subscriber special, thanks very much for the 10k subs! With a special LNER themed gala being held on the North Western Railway, and Flying Scotsman as well as the youngest LNER engine, Tornado coming to visit, Sodor is excited. Gordon is excited to see his brother again, while Spencer, ever the egotisitcal one is boasting. Other engines include Molly, Toby, Ryan, Whiff and Wilfrid who are all excited to take part in the LNER gala. Another visitor to tie in with the theme of the East Coast Main Line side of the gala is Class 55 Deltic 55002, The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, or KOYLI. With the events in full swing, will Gordon enjoy the company of his own brother, Flying Scotsman, will Tornado get a welcome as an LNER engine, and finally, will Spencer's big ego get the better of him?
For those wondering, my voice for KOYLI is my impression of Michael Angelis' accent, and Tornado speaks in a Geordie accent, my attempt at a Geordie accent though, although I think he turns out to sound more like a posh Geordie, a bit more refind, like someone from Jesmond, Gosforth or Ponteland.

You know what’s funny? The Great Eastern Railway was actually larger than the Great Northern Railway in terms of route mileage. The Great Northern Railway was the fourth largest company inherited by the LNER, whereas was the third largest company absorbed by the LNER and the second largest English company absorbed by the LNER. The second largest railway company inherited by the LNER was the North British Railway, which was the largest pre-Grouping Scottish railway company at the time of the Grouping. The largest railway company that the LNER absorbed was the North Eastern Railway. Therefore, Molly, Wilfred, and Toby’s old railway company was actually longer than that of Gordon and Ryan’s old railway company.
Don't forget Alice as she also worked on the GNR as well.

Thomas was supposed to be a LNER J69 (GER S56) but Wilbert Awdry made him a LNER J50 Submarine (But a J51 with the Big bunker) and then writers turn him into the E2 we all know

For anyone who hasn’t read the books Toby use to be a LNER engine when he tells a story of him helping another engine with their train I think that LNER engine Toby helped was the same class as Lenny

I really love the episode with tornado and flying Scotsman getting the chance to see Gordon and I’m glad that Spencer had changed his ways but I was disappointed that Alfred didn’t so if you don’t mind me saying so but could you please do an episode of when Alfred meets Afton the lnwr claughton
Gresley’s second successor was Edward Thompson in 1945. After Thompson, the third successor of the LNER was Arthur Peppercorn
Honestly, Arthur peppercorn should have been the real successor to sir Nigel gresley instead of edward Thompson

Spencer is very upset when he saw a Class 55 Deltic, which replaced him and his A4 class from service
The big engines on sodor are actually quite small when compared to American steam
That is because we have a smaller loading gauge than on US railways

Nigel Gresley’s Successor is Edward Thompson not Arthur H Peppercorn. Arthur Peppercorn is the Second successor of Nigel Gresley.
Talk about the fact that Tornado’s “Peppercorn” is a nickname after of an (Black Peppercorns) 😐🤨
While I do love the episode, just a tiny bit of constructive criticism, maybe turn down the music a bit since the audio seems to get drowned out a little at times

I would like to say that if gordon hadnt been bought by the NWR, he probably wouldve been scrapped aswell. Maybe even earlier than the other A1's and A3s. As we know, gordon was an A1 Prototype, vastly different from the finalized version. With a fowler tender, bigger boiler, and prototype gresley conjugated valve gear. Gordon never actually pulled express trains for the GNR except for a few test runs, which he proved to be a little unreliable due to his bady designed valve gear which was jamming endlesslly. Gordon was never given an official GNR Number. In early-mid 1923, gordon was no longer needed by the GNR Following the construction of the first finalized great northern A1, and gordon was put up for auction, which he was luckily bought by STH. Had he not been bought by the NWR, Gordon possibly wouldve been a goods engine for the GNR, LNER, and later BR before getting scrapped in the 50s/60s
some people probably say that he wouldve been rebuilt into an actual A3 which i think is a possibility but it still doesnt change the fact that he still wouldve probably been scrapped in the 60s unless someone buys and preserves him

@@haydennorris3672wdym "Bollocks". Emily's basis, a GNR Sterling Single, was built in the late 1800s and, like TB76 said, withdrawn in 1916. 5 years before the Railway Act of 1921 and 7 years before the formation of LNER.

When Spencer was heading to Doncaster until he saw a landslide ahead and he tried to stop but it was too late and he hit the landslide and got stuck and Spencer was disgraced.

My problem with this is Spencer is overly egotistical, yea he was egotistical throughout Thomas and Friends, but never to this level. And besides, by seasons 19, he doesn't seem to be egotistical at all. Although he did say, and I quote: "That's the sort of job only a private engine gets to do" in Confused Coaches, it wasn't anything serious like Hero of The Rails when he was VERY egotistical. I rlly wish he could be written as a nicer character like in Season 19-21.
