Now for my long awaited Trainz Stories Special, The Great Heatwave. We turn the clock back to the heatwave of 1976 on Sodor when The Fat Controller has to hire 5 diesels from The Other Railway due to the low water and the dry grass, in which the bigger engines were shut in the shed due to their larger water consumption, while smaller engines were used more sparingly. The five diesels in question are Joe and John, two twin Class 20s, Peak, a mild mannered Class 45, Mark, a Welsh accented Class 47 (having been based at Landore and Cardiff Canton) and Sulzer, a rude and arrogant Class 25 who frequently antagonizes the engines. During their stay on the island, many things happen on the island, and even Sulzer gets his comeuppance. After the rain finally returns, the diesels return to the other railway, and years later, Mark and Peak return to the island with Samantha from The Vicarstown Railway museum to revisit the engines, in which they recount the story. Even Samantha recounts her own experience in 1976 with her brother Steve. Steve who ends up at Vic Berry in Leicester with Sulzer gives a few words of wisdom to the arrogant diesel in his final days.
Also with a bonus music video, It's Hot, composed and sung by myself

And someone bought Steve and put him in their yard
Agreed
Yep I agree Really Useful Trackmaster Fan
And Jordon
XD so hilariously true 😆 LMAO
"Vegetation combustion" is just so funny for some reason. Splendid work, the song was great!
i never even expected this special to be a half hour long, despite most of us ran into difficulties due to SP5, but at least you did a splendid job on finishing the special in the end. 10/10 for the story and songs in the special. nice job. :)
This is goood ma
Edward, Henry, Gordon, and James: 🎵It's hot, it's hot, it's ho--🎵
Bear: Why are you singing in a way that sounds like you rehearsed it?
James: ...IT WAS HENRY'S IDEA!
Henry: What?! You're the musical theater fan!
Diesel:... what did I roll in on
Boco: naw bro💀
A very nice special. I found Mark, Piek, Joe and John are nice characters.
Peak*
Yes
All except Sultzer
Joe and John’s cabs are in some old guy’s yard
What an excellent story, talking about the real heatwaves, also mentioning modernisation.
This is a brilliant special. It has an interesting concept, since it does happen on heritage railways in real life (suspending steam services because of heat).
Who been to Dwellingup were the run steam in winter and some rum diesel in winter too
I like how Oliver told Donald and Douglas that the two diesels are twins like them
The class 20s joe and john are my favourites, it would be so cool if they had there own story pulling ballast trains 🚂🚂
Here are the basis of the diesel engines:
Joe and John are based on The British Rail Class 20s
Mark is based on The British Rail Class 47s
Peak is based on The British Rail Class 46s
And Sulzer, Samantha, and Steve are based on The British Rail Class 25s
Thank you 😊
@@aplane9625Classes 25 and 33 look entirely different, especially with the length. Definitely a Class 25.
I just found out
Bruh peak supposed to be an class 45s?
Fun fact: sulzer was the only one of his batch of four to be broken up, and at Five Ways in 1977, he got his largest window smashed
Also Steve got preserved and is currently under his pre-tops number 5185
The smashed window happened prior to the scrapping
Man, im actually surprised how much ive liked peak, i mean, he's such a nice character to see, i think it has to do with his personality since hes a little relatable to me but hes also pretty relaxed from it seems, in particular in the downfall parodies, but non the less a pretty solid, delightfull and relatable character.
This renfrence to: TUGS: Quarantine.
This was great! I loved it! Sad about John and Joe though
Don't forget steve and those other random desels
@@devontaschannel803 Steve got preserved, I googled his number
@@West_Coast_Mainline yaaaay
I'm glad that sulzer was scrapped, but I'm sad to hear that Joe and John were scrapped too. Those twins were good diesels.
Joe actually got preserved
But poor John
Rest in peace john you were really useful
He should ask Henry how to deal with the the flying kipper and the smell of fish.
A bit to loud on the music...could barely hear the narration and voices over it, however good story
Nice Job Mate! Mark, Peek, Joe & John are the protagonist friendliest diesels and they like the steam engines of Sodor, but Sulzer is the antagonist mean & arrogant diesel that believes steam engines are out-of-date and should be scrapped
Greeting. How did you put faces on engines ?
Bro actually jinxed the world of the heatwave 💀
I wish you could do an episode like this but with bocos relatives
That guitar solo though well done
WOOO HALF HOUR SPECIAL!!!!!!
I just wanted to say “Thank you for the Great Heatwave pack” last time you’ve made The Great Heatwave Story.
Your Sulzer voice does sound like Diesel 199’s.
Cool original song.
22:57 - How did they steam him up WITHOUT water in the boiler?!?!
Idk
This is a very ironic episode because as I'm writing this now us brits are experiencing a 2/3 day heat wave anyways good episode.
perfect day to watch it
@@TB76Returns indeed
I really loved the song
Nice movie featuring the Other Railway's Diesels Steve
Given the change in weather conditions! Over the last few years in particular! This story of yours TB76 - Is appropriate indeed! The change in environment is a issue of some measurable concern. Something that has been ignored over the last several months. You can be - somewhat abrupt but...!! This is somewhat useful as a reminder of the environmental difficulties of today! TB76 I can see your jaw dropping on the floor in surprise! I hope that is a pleasant surprise though!
That reference to Thomas goes fishing! Gotta love it
Could you please try to make a release video of the engines from 1976 diesels in this episode? Thats not a RAR file?
Remember be kindness
I like how some of the diesels are actually very nice and loyal to Thomas The only one that's not being very nice Is the one on the siding where the big diesel's point Thomas in I like these diesels They seem to be there more friendly than I thought Diesels and steamies are so friendly
Heatwave of the heatstroke.
We're facing another very hot time in the next few days. 1976 may be joined by 2022.
If you want, you could do a story about Peak, Mark, Samantha & KOYLI, Darryl checking out the Vicarstown Dieselworks. I’m sure that’s a place that they’ve never seen before. I’ll respect your opinion if you don’t have time to do so.
21:37
THAT’S DIESEL FUEL YOUR TALKING ABOUT HENRY!
I don’t really know what those types of fuel are, BUT OIL BURNERS USE OIL, NOT DIESEL FUEL
And also, Henry and soon to be Gordon aren’t suited for oil burning let alone diesel fuel
Welsh call is a gateway drug
May be a bit of welsh coal will burn but with diesel fuel, it will *EXPLODE*
Looks good well great work
Wonderful story
But the background music and the overall game sounds were a bit loud most of the time I could barely hear and understand the dialog
My only problem is Rosie’s part of the plot because 1. How did Rosie hear about what they were talking about?
2. Why does Rosie sound like a guy?
Though the second reason isn’t a big deal
Not gonna lie this was a good episode, despite the audio overlapping the speech.
Do the models only work for trz19
Did you know that this video is similar to PBS show the magic school bus episode kicks up a storm.
I love episode
Let’s sing before I die great logic people who say it’s great to be an engine are obviously wrong Jesus Christ 😦😯
Hi les :)
@@rhhrd9alt647 hi aiden
the mean diesel cracks me up.
Sultzer is really rude
Well... There are very few blemishes in this film. John is sadly scrapped, but British Rail 20084 'Joe' was save. He is After changing his number to '20302' around 1995, And now currently living at 'Direct Rail Services'.
In my universe both survived because John is another preserved member in mine
This episode is relevant.
In that case, why can't you fill the steamies tanks with ice cream instead?
Are you serious?! 🤣
@@TB76Returns Just being silly, that’s all.
@@TB76ReturnsI mean, it could work once melted into liquid? Or better yet, they could just use Milk 😂😂😂
or just multiply sir topham hat 500 times to do the rain dance
You do the best Thomas Trainz stories when’s your next one
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ(=LOL). That film Is Very Fun!!
The song was so good, I thought it was Gordon singing it and I wish it was cause he’s might be a fantastic singer
Do you think it was Henry singing the song?
The song basically summed up summer for me.
This is a fun episode.
cool and i can't believe there was a song in here
I like Steve,Joe and John,Edward and Bear
Serves Sulzer right!
I just love seeing Class 20’s in Thomas. Really wish they appeared in Thomas and Friends.
The song that they song both at the end and middle is very catchy.
If the steam engines are sitting in the sheds not being used for so long, how come they are still billowing smoke from their funnels?
Trans logic
The way Trainz work
The way Trainz work
Trainz doesn't allow the smoke to be removed In universe there is no smoke
way was there two branch line coaches in the engine shed with Edward and James and Henry and Gordon?
Thank you for putting this pack in the video. Am I allowed to use them in my video? (I'll credit you in the description)
Three is useful and one is bad one
Four diesels were good and one horrid
@@evanclarke5561 yep
I see no problem with the NWR having a huge fleet of Diesels
I mean they do already have alot of diesels, including the RWS ones
Some of the scenes in this video reminds me of the first series episode Thomas Goes Fishing
I know this song - Always look on the bright side of life!
Who are they friendly three diesels? And twins diesels?
Awesome video
I love that song 😀😀😀
Steve is funny and nice
Can you do a instrument of always looking on the bright side from the ending
That was a great story I liked the first time I saw it! Though I'm curious whether you had plans on remaking these with your present day techniques and updated voice recordings?
22:00 what is the song called?
I like how all the diesels like the steamy's except not that mean one And I like how the Deezer the diesels are trying to tell the mean one to show respect that's actually a true thing I'm glad that time says shut up
Great Story
The Great Central is my local preserved Railway
Quick question. What class is Sultzer?
Either a class 25 or a class 33
TB76 Returns How well did you do Rosie’s accent? Is it because of her origins?
YES
nice song and routes, tho Samantha is private right?
UGH, SOME LOCOMOTIVES NEVER LEARN!!!!!!!!!!
WELL, IF YOU CERTAINLY WERE VERY SHOCKINGLY SURPRISINGLY GOOD ENOUGH TO ASK ME, SULZER CERTAINLY WON'T EVER LEARN!!!!!!!!!
TYPICAL!!!
I am going to make my own version but the year is 1980 basically the engines had struggles to build up steam and sir topham hatt hires 6 diesels from the mainland to help out while Gordon Alfred James Henry Edward and Winston stayed in their sheds and I’m just wandering if you could tell the story
Oh by the way I need to clarify that the 6 diesels are similar to the 1976 and also their names are Matt Marshall Lee lombow penny and max 5 are friendly while one is rude
I might make a version where Thomas and Percy see James, Gordon, Henry and Edward get (temporarily) replaced by diesels but think it's permanent and worry that if they make a mistake they too will be replaced by diesels
Your 2 succeeding Trainz videos had their comments removed.
WHAT YOU WANT WITH US COPPA!
How did you get the sodor workshops engines and rolling stock work and what route are you using plus how did you get it work I tried installing a island of sodor route and it had a ton of missing deps
Hey I have seen you in History In the dark
Could you release Engines like: KOYlI The Class 55, Wolfgang The Austrian Engine, Samantha The Class 25?
21:36 henry commiting drugs
In future appearances in your Thomas series can you please please pretty please give Emily her season 9 to 12 whistle please please pretty please if it's her so much better than her season 7 or CGI with so please please pretty please.
From the junkyard heap scene close to the end, I think Sulzer was scrapped for his recalcitrant insolence towards the steam engines. I think the Railway Council did not approve of him being preserved in a museum as they were concerned that he could spread undesirable things about the steam engines should he be preserved.
What does Mark say at 16:20? "So, please, put (???) in it!"
"Put a filler cap in it!"
Dang James, got all happy about someone's death?
The song is the best part.
Wow the ending was dark lol
It just it just Such a good video
Good song I Like It
I like the storm where did you find it
Theme
Sulzer's OW! Sounded Like Micheal Jackson.
Heatwave It's all about the heatwave
16:11 enough barks mark
You know, you should have made a full scene The Fat Controller scolding Sulzer for his bad behavior toward. Just saying
