Yay.. Mom finally fed E2 while E1 chilled.. This was the best!! 😘
E14 isn’t capable of chilling. I try not to have human emotions when watching nest cams and usually I can be objective, but everything about the bully E14 pisses me off. Even when his crop is full, there’s plenty of fish in the nest, and the younger eagle is starving, he still won’t leave him alone. I legit hate this eagle.

every year this nest is madness. some say the mother is just super lazy (they right ona rivers edge); granted father went mia this year n 2/3 died, but that mom would go a day or two bt feeding them.

If DH15 had instinct, it wouldn't try to eat over the monster who is trying to kill it. Instinct would be to go around it and continue eating.
These chicks are learning instinct.
Finally at the end of the day It was just a small part of a whopper's tail, but a major step forward to survive for #2.

This was March 20th.. I'm so glad 15 got a good meal because it is 19 days later and the attacks are very bad. 15 is weak and getting no food. Such a tragedy and now has a fishing line tight around it leg. What more can that baby suffer? Take it out of the nest..remove fishing line and hand feed.
So what is an update on how dh15 did?

Unfortunately there's nothing wrong. I absolutely can't stand it and hate it. But we mustn't anthropomorphize these animals they're not human and it just shows the signs of an eaglet that's going to survive in the wild.

@Steven Strain there's a size difference in those two babies. If 15 makes it a couple more days it should stop. I know it's hard to watch but this isn't uncommon. I've seen new born elk calves killed their first day of life by wolves. The wolf will just leave the elk calf body and not eat them. I have no idea why they do it but they do.
This poor chap trying to feed himself is like me when I cannot find the can opener. The food is there, I'm hungry, but can't eat it...

The big one is already full doesn't want to eat but he stays their and make sure small one doesn't get to eat.they can think but only in evil way small eaglets are simply live like slaves till they leave that nest.

後面老二搶食速度比老大快了，老大已經成熟不理老二，老大每天在做展翼離巢準備動作；然後離巢成功，後面老二當家裡蹲好一陣子才離巢，之後不知道是爸爸還是媽媽等孩子都離開後還是待了幾天，都看到空無一鳥也離開了

Amazing how mom saved 15. She seen 15 had a piece of food to big for the crop and pulled it out. She's a great mother. Hoping both of these babies grow up to bring others into the world. 🤎🤍🦅

The same mother and father watched the oldest one peck and bite the third one to death a few episodes ago. Come on now.

The eaglets both made it to fly off the next that season.
I am so sad, but on the subject of survival, the eagletts need to figure out how to live on there own in the wild.

Exactly. But yet people can’t seem to understand the aggression and think that these animals should share their food equally. It irks me to no end for someone to call an Eaglet a “bully” or “mean.” It shouldn’t, I know but it does. Hopefully these 2 will thrive and fly! 💜

I’m a bit behind. What caused #1 to be so aggro? #3 is fine, and it looks like there’s been enough food. So what’s the reason behind it? Is it instinct, genetics, gender, a combo, or something else entirely?

Water is in the food. That's where the majority of your water intake should come from. Us humans eat a lot of dry processed food so we need to drink lots of water.

corpse of smallest chick that got killed by biggest chick is still lying there in the nest... slowly getting covered by all the nest material...
I think the mother finally pulled dead #3 out from under the nest material and fed it to aggressive chick #1 at night when hard to see. It was filmed but no longer shown. I saw it only once before it was taken down.
#2 will never make it in the wild.
