The op is correct. This is clearly rejection by maternal bulbul. The father bulbul is the experienced parent, mother isn't. Not only did mom build an inadequate nest in an unusual spot, but it was not strong enough or correctly built either. Thus it continued to tilt and contributed to this sad outcome. The mother is obviously frustrated while feeding. The babies are weak and not properly grasping her beak to signal get to let the food go. So she repeats the cycle and gets further frustrated. Finally she eats the food intended for the babies. The issue is further compounded by mom feeding insects that were way too large for these babies. This further created frustration for mom. That's a lack of experience on mom's behalf. However, the father bulbul feeds without issues. Sadly the mother bulbul eventually kicks babies from the nest TWICE. That's no accident twice. Clear rejection due to failure to thrive because of inexperienced mother. The poor father bulbul returns with food to an empty nest. He's clearly confused why the babies aren't there. The op tried to intervene and replace the babies after the first rejection. Op had hope it was accidental. It was not an accident. Mother kicks the babies out of the nest a second time. She made her decision clear. Larger birds will throw a rejected baby out with their beaks. These birds are much smaller, with tiny beaks, thus they'll kick the rejected babies out of the nest with their feet. The action is obvious. If there was any doubt she repeats the process of kicking them backwards out of the nest. It's very intentional. They were failing to thrive due to insufficient feedings by mom. Dad was great, he did everything right. As the babies got weaker from mom's starvation, so did their ability to close their beaks around mom's beak. So inexperienced Mom didn't know to let the food go. As this communication issue continued, the babies further declined and weakened. Without Dad they'd have declined much sooner. Finally the babies were so weak and close to death she just rejected them from the nest. It's nature, it's imprinted within these birds to reject offspring that aren't strong enough to thrive and survive. It ensures the species has the best genetics. The weak are culled, rejected, or die. The strong and best genetics thrive and survive to reproduce. There's no point wasting time and resources on babies that aren't thriving. It's a natural act, there's no malice or evil intent. It's sad, but it's how nature ensures the best genetics are passed on and the weaker or defective ones aren't. Even if the weakness or issues we're caused by the parent themselves. It's sad. It's how nature works.

The anchor is to create a topic. Two points: 1. The bird's nest is tilted, and the broadcaster did not rescue the bird; 2. The bird leaked out, and it was not eliminated by the bird parents because of weakness
I think it was a tragic accident, not deliberate. The mother is inexperienced or potentially something else going on with her. Look at 19:05 where she begins to feed the chicks a worm or some other insect that is far too big for the chicks to swallow. Birds are generally smart across all species. You never know what's going on. In modern times, animals that act weird could have fed on or become exposed to chemicals such as pesticides, and over time it could affect them, and with relatively small bodies, it doesn't take a lot to damage their systems or thinking.
No accident here. There's two birds, mom and dad. You're correct that mom was extremely inexperienced. She selected an inadequate nesting space, was feeding food too large to swallow, and refusing to let go of food that was correctly sized. She caused the failure to thrive in these babies which led to her rejecting them by kicking them out of the nest backwards TWICE. That's clearly no accident. In smaller beaked birds they'll kick babies they reject out of the nest backwards. Just like in this video. In larger birds with larger beaks they toss them out with their beaks. The father bulbul in the video was much more experienced and did excellent with his care. He fed them the correct size foods, and let go. Sadly mom didn't do the same. Her lack of care caused them to become weak and unable to thrive. Thus her own actions led to her rejecting them. It's not uncommon for new moms to be inadequate with care. They learn as they go. The saddest part was when Dad returned with food to an empty nest, confused. That's the part that really upset me. That wasn't mom. My heart broke for the dad. Sigh. Nature isn't always pretty or kind. Hopefully mom does better with the next clutch of eggs. Better with selecting a nesting space and better with feeding correctly.
They realize that the nest is tilting that’s why they are always coming to feed from the higher end of the nest mostly. They know what they are doing.💕
@gamblerfls Mate, the nest literally slants more and more as the video goes on. I know it's fun to try to pretend you see something most people didn't, but you can't just ignore what you obviously watched in the video to make stuff up man.
for a channel that seems to understand about birds, the guy choose the title seems to be quite unaware of what happened there. She did not "PUSHED ALL OUT" at all - the nest was badly build, and it was tilted. What happened there was a tragic accident. Sadly birds do not have enough intelligence to realize what was happening... 💔
You are right. The mom did not pushed that baby out of the nest.It is an accident and the mom don’t know how to put them back.If he is filming this why he did not rescue that baby bird and put it back to the nest…BAD FILM 🎥
Look again, she very obviously “kicks” her feet back, as if she were ejecting an egg. Even after she turns and sees the baby dangling, she kicks again.
it looked pretty deliberate the second one. she was trying to feed it and it couldnt get up. you'll notice she had the fly in her mouth and while the baby had his mouth open he wasnt swallowing it. after 5 6 attempts it was like nah. better luck next batch1
These chicks are having a hard time as they struggle to stay upright in a nest that's obviously tilted nearly at 40+ degree angle! Parent birds are bringing some insects that are too large to swallow! It's difficult to eat properly when your nest is compromised!
They weren't eating. Unfortunately it was a long thought out decision. She tried to give them time to start taking the food from her but they just couldn't do it. She realized there was two choices. She could keep holding food over their mouths while they didn't eat it until they died or help that process come sooner by abandoning them.
Correct. She was not only feeding food that was inadequate or too large, but she wouldn't let go when the food was correct. So frustrating. She's clearly inexperienced and lacking maternal instinct. The father did everything right. So sad when he returned to the empty nest with a small insect. He seemed so confused. He was a great father. Mom was either young and it was her first clutch, or she's seriously lacking maternal instinct to care for her young. Hopefully she'll do better next time. Better with selecting a nesting space and better with selecting the correct size foods and actually letting the food go! She caused them to become weak and fail to thrive. Then she rejected them because of that. Nature is brutal sometimes. Sigh.
:15 through :30 made me laugh so hard for a second, I didn't realize the cut and it looked like the mom came and wiggled her bum all over their faces, flew off, and then the baby screamed in despair 🤣🤣🤣
I thought there were two parents feeding. One was enthused with feeding, while the other just pretended to feed by sticking the food in the baby's mouth but kept pulling it out. She was the one who pushed them out casually and pretended it was an accident, lol. I could hear her say, oops, nothing to see here folks, just going to bed.
I'm here because we have had Robins laying her eggs in the nest on my property for the past 20 years. I saw Mom and Dad bird feeding them. I also saw little beaks waiting for food. I got home to my surprise to see 2 dead birds one at the bottom of my porch and the other in my driveway. The neighborhood toddler children who love to use my long driveway saw them before I could pick them up now their upset. In this video she legit pushed them out!!!!! I wonder were our birds weak

i think there was something wrong with the 2 babies, normally at each feeding or definitely some we should have seen the babies pooping, but we didn't catch it even once and their stomachs were looking overly bloated. Seems like they were born with not everything fully developed. 1 one did seem like an accident but the 2nd she def pushed with her feet several times
Seems to me that if you are a Mama and have food in ur mouth and don't let go of it while ur forcing it down ur babies' throats... Then ur a Mama just teasing with food. No wonder that these babies were immature and sickly without any nourishment, this becomes ur fate. Perhaps new Mama?
Where is the nest is it close to peanuts fat pots ois she eating the right food, where is partner, is there crops protection arround.. All birds take out the one Who is weak.. But all off them never seen that before. So answer please, near by what is she nested
No, that was no accident. She seems to an experienced mother. Probably her first year. She was definitely frustrated. This happens a lot more than people realize…across bird species.
And parents do not throw or kick birds out, they don't 'smell' weak and immature birds, as ALL chicks are weak or immature. If mum was planning on evicting them, why would she continue to feed, why would she continue to brood?

ok Guys what I see is a bird trying to feed and the young ones won't eat cause the food looks to large, after a while one of the chicks was not opening it's mouth that wass the first one to fall. When the second stopped taking food it was also put out.
Looks like the nest was moved or tampered with. Why is it being held up by knotted rope. A bird didn’t tie those knots. I really hope it wasn’t and that she just chose the wrong spot
It just looks like they're first time parents. The nest was poorly constructed and at an angle. They kept bringing food way too big for the babies as well. They're simply brand new parents that didnt know what they were doing and unfortunately this is the consequences of that. They'll undoubtedly learn from their mistakes here and do better next time
Seems like the nest has been rearranged and the bird won't never build or make her nest in that way. Nature itself doesn't entertain any intruders. Some wild birds never hatches the egg if we touch the eggs or nest.
That was Dad. There's two birds. Mom was refusing to feed them correctly and bring food too large. Dad did everything right. Mom rejected the babies and dad returned with food to an empty nest.. So sad.
Chicks fell out twice and were put back and fell out again. The nest is practically vertical so who ever can film it all. Shame on whoever did this just to film babies, they killed those chicks by interfering with the slant of the nest.
she positively did push them out on purpose. If you watch, she lays on them, pushes them with her feet, looks back, and when they are hanging on, she pushes until they are gone. At one point I was wondering why she bought that huge bug and tried to choke them to death.
The nest was either tampered or that was another parent getting rid of the competition. But, it looks like the nest is slowly being tilted more and more.

@@dianneking3842 My comment was directed towards the horrible initial statement. I promise you I was not trying to be funny in any way as much of my life that I have dedicated to protecting animals.
You captured excellent footage of parent birds caring for two chicks. However, in careful review, it appears that the parent was providing equal care to both chicks, but most importantly, there's no evidence of intentional ejection by the parent. The chick was lying on the rim of a nest with an increasingly slanted incline, and when the parent moved, the chick laying on the rim accidentally slipped out of the nest. This was not intentional ejection at all, and the parent bird's behavior is consistent with that fact. It's unfortunate, but does happen, and the parent would not have been able to retrieve that youngster back to the nest, though would have been able to care for it wherever it fell. Another problem is your titling and description, even if intentional ejection had been the case. These birds *cannot* smell "weakness." Birds have somewhat limited olfactory senses, but one ability they actually do possess is sensing chemical signatures of *predatory* species nearby. Avians in taxonomy Family Cathartidae, which includes vulture and condor, have the additional documented ability of olfactory sense to detect carrion while kettling, even thousands of feet up in the air, and miles from a carcass. But, that's not at all what's happening here in this video, and I'm certain these are not vultures, but uncertain if or which species of bulbul this may be. You've mischaracterized a behavior, claiming the parent can "smell fear." The parent can't because avians simply don't possess that ability. *Therefore, your clip title and the claims made are wholly inaccurate and incorrect.* If this actually had been a case of intentional ejection, which it wasn't, that would be an example of adaptive behaviors such as possible parasitism by another avian species, environmental quality impact on selective neglect or rejection by parents of chicks (relative abundance of food), reproductive "insurance," where a second chick is only cared for till/if the oldest chick survives, is healthy, and begins normal growth (at which time the second chick is ignored), or because a chick displays sickly/injured condition after hatching, wherein parents will then passively ignore or remove the chick. So again, this was an accidental loss of a chick, and parent birds do not "smell" fear, weakness, nor anything else of the kind. There is so much interesting content on YT which is mislabeled, inaccurately titled, and misrepresented, all because the person posting it isn't knowledgeable, didn't make an effort to properly describe the content, or does so, knowingly, for attention or revenue. *STOP DOING THAT.* Now that you've been provided with accurate information, you have an obligation to update the title and description. Alot of splicing here, I think if we saw the entire situation we would see the chics not getting enough heat from mom bc dad isn't bringing her food that she needs to stay strong, cow birds are usually just awful parents, but mom is trying here but, heat is more important than food at this stage and there's no dad to help with that so mom let's her chics get too cold too often and that is why they're so weak

Maybe its global warming!!

They realize that the nest is tilting that’s why they are always coming to feed from the higher end of the nest mostly. They know what they are doing.💕
It may have something to do with all the messing that's gone on with the nest....looks like it's been strung up.
It's not the nest that's tilted, the camera is slanted if you didn't notice it. Look at the rest of the environment.

Correct
These chicks are having a hard time as they struggle to stay upright in a nest that's obviously tilted nearly at 40+ degree angle! Parent birds are bringing some insects that are too large to swallow! It's difficult to eat properly when your nest is compromised!
You act like birds know that..
Nest is somewhat tilt, may be that is why baby fell down😢. God bless
I don't know why I find this so hilarious lmao. 🤣

That just looked like poor nest making. It didn't look like she meant to do it.
I didn't think she meant to either until I saw her push the 2nd one out, now it's obvious she meant to for both.
yeah I seen the same video somewhere people tried to fix the nest but it didnt work
Seems like an inexperienced mother bird. Can't feed or build properly 😞
They weren't eating. Unfortunately it was a long thought out decision. She tried to give them time to start taking the food from her but they just couldn't do it. She realized there was two choices. She could keep holding food over their mouths while they didn't eat it until they died or help that process come sooner by abandoning them.
She did it.
Damn, that's brutal. It looked like she wasn't actually feeding them. She kept putting the worm in their mouth then pulling it back out. odd.
They squeeze the blood out to feed the chicks.
Shes selfish.
@@bispamagdasomdoceu5743 no
Sigh.
They seemed unable to take the food she sensed their weakness and gave up on them knowing they wouldn’t make it.
This bird is very beautiful, where is this bird?
:15 through :30 made me laugh so hard for a second, I didn't realize the cut and it looked like the mom came and wiggled her bum all over their faces, flew off, and then the baby screamed in despair 🤣🤣🤣

I thought there were two parents feeding. One was enthused with feeding, while the other just pretended to feed by sticking the food in the baby's mouth but kept pulling it out. She was the one who pushed them out casually and pretended it was an accident, lol. I could hear her say, oops, nothing to see here folks, just going to bed.
you installed a camera.....did you pick the babies up and rescue them in your home??.... i hope so!!

You clearly didn’t watch the video after a few times they stopped taking food which they are going to die anyways

No, that was no accident. She seems to an experienced mother. Probably her first year. She was definitely frustrated. This happens a lot more than people realize…across bird species.

ok Guys what I see is a bird trying to feed and the young ones won't eat cause the food looks to large, after a while one of the chicks was not opening it's mouth that wass the first one to fall. When the second stopped taking food it was also put out.
Looks like the nest was moved or tampered with. Why is it being held up by knotted rope. A bird didn’t tie those knots. I really hope it wasn’t and that she just chose the wrong spot
These days birds use ropes to build nests.
Amazing evolution!!
😂
It just looks like they're first time parents. The nest was poorly constructed and at an angle. They kept bringing food way too big for the babies as well. They're simply brand new parents that didnt know what they were doing and unfortunately this is the consequences of that. They'll undoubtedly learn from their mistakes here and do better next time
Seems like the nest has been rearranged and the bird won't never build or make her nest in that way. Nature itself doesn't entertain any intruders. Some wild birds never hatches the egg if we touch the eggs or nest.
She looks quite upset that there are no birds in her nest
That was Dad. There's two birds. Mom was refusing to feed them correctly and bring food too large. Dad did everything right. Mom rejected the babies and dad returned with food to an empty nest.. So sad.
What is she feeding them?
Chicks fell out twice and were put back and fell out again. The nest is practically vertical so who ever can film it all. Shame on whoever did this just to film babies, they killed those chicks by interfering with the slant of the nest.

I’ve never seen the mother bird try to give a whole worm or insect to the babies mouth.
I thought she was supposed to chew it first? What’s going on?
she positively did push them out on purpose. If you watch, she lays on them, pushes them with her feet, looks back, and when they are hanging on, she pushes until they are gone. At one point I was wondering why she bought that huge bug and tried to choke them to death.
Nop. Her nest wasn't in a good place, and they the babies can eat insects.
Maybe try watching it again but this time with your eyes open.
And she did well cause they were incompetent, picky rats. She should have forced those insects down their greedy beaks or let them choke on it.

The nest was either tampered or that was another parent getting rid of the competition. But, it looks like the nest is slowly being tilted more and more.

These birds *cannot* smell "weakness."
Birds have somewhat limited olfactory senses, but one ability they actually do possess is sensing chemical signatures of *predatory* species nearby.
*Therefore, your clip title and the claims made are wholly inaccurate and incorrect.*
If this actually had been a case of intentional ejection, which it wasn't, that would be an example of adaptive behaviors such as possible parasitism by another avian species, environmental quality impact on selective neglect or rejection by parents of chicks (relative abundance of food), reproductive "insurance," where a second chick is only cared for till/if the oldest chick survives, is healthy, and begins normal growth (at which time the second chick is ignored), or because a chick displays sickly/injured condition after hatching, wherein parents will then passively ignore or remove the chick.
So again, this was an accidental loss of a chick, and parent birds do not "smell" fear, weakness, nor anything else of the kind.

А мне показалось, что птица специально выбрасывала их, лапками выталкивает, и это была не мать, потому что в конце она прилетела с кормом и искала их.
