    Thanks My 2011 BMW GSA
the GS Adventure is for my longer trips, with 8.1 gal of fuel it has the range to get me in to lots of trouble, in this video I point out some of the mods I did to make the bike more off road capable.

I've got the 2012. I like it better than the water boxers too.

excellent choice is bikes! after putting so many miles on this one (still runs like new) I am going to see if I can find a lower mileage 2011 -2012, and start all the fun over again!!! I replaced the shocks once again as I blew out the rear shock again, this time I went with Ohlins, better support more resources to get them rebuilt

@@TRCAdventures I haven't messed with my suspension. I remember seeing touratech upgrades that looked trick but expensive. I'm considering it now more because of your video.
I appreciate your video because few riders on TH-cam appreciate the oil heads!
I've done other upgrades I'm very happy with: arrow headers, zard slip on, titanium exhaust flap eliminator with electronic plug, bazzaz tuner AFM/traction control/quick shift, lithium battery, xenon bulb system in fog lamps, led head lights (I'm lit up like the sun now, lol), steering stabilizer, sargent seats, And cosmetics.

I've got a '13 GSA that belongs to your year group. I sold the 3 hard boxes for $1,250 and spent $169 for a pair of Nelson Rigg and LOVE THEM and have over a grand in my pocket. Soft is the way to go. Where did you go for the starter? The only thing left you have to do is ditch the OEM fog lights and go for some China Specials that light up an entire canyon. Thanks for the post sir.

Soft luggage is a game changer! I ended up blowing out those shocks and put a set of Ohlin's on! they seem to hold up better! I forget where I got that starter, there was a recommendation on a BMW forum, much better than stock, with a quicker start! agree on the OEM fog lights, some LED lights would be much better!
Thanks for checking out the video

Thanks for posting (2 years ago). Just got a 2011 GSA and will likely do the bash plate and soft luggage for any dual sport solo I do but keep hard luggage for 2-up travels with my wife. I actually love the BMW keyed hard luggage. Solid stuff that makes me wonder why I ever liked givi. Suspension will have to wait mate. Got pump up the old wallet before I get more spending freedom! Keep posting amigo…

I'm looking at a 2010 GSA. Can't for the life of me find out if the 2010 had the same upgrades as your 2011. School me, please.

The 2010 and 2011 are very similar (same bike), the one change I know of is a mid year 2010 change to the fuel level indicator mechanism. In 2010 they used BMW'S fuel strip and in 2011 they used a float system. The fuel strip is known for failure and inaccurate reading. The fix is to replace it with the upgraded float type, if it has a problem, if not leave it!.
Some of the 2010 bikes already have this update installed. If it is a late model month bike it likely has it.
In any case, I do not consider this a big deal, I would be super happy with a 2010 model year GSA!
