- From the crazy LOOTERS, to the smartest inventors who have figured out zombies, these are 10 Types of Zombie Apocalypse Survivors
5. Inventors/Scientists
Mankind has used tools since they had the brain capacity to figure out a rock would make a good hammer. Creative minds will still be put to use even if zombies are trying to eat them. You might have thought people who had their own laboratories in their basement were crazy until the apocalypse arrives. These people strive hard to come up with ways to survive that the average prepper doesn’t have the creativity to come up with. A prepper by the name of Liu Qiyuan came up with something that’s been called the Great Ball of China, or what he calls noah’s ark, in order to survive the apocalypse. This can survive the strength of a Tsunami, the cold temperatures of the arctic and even the debris from an earthquake. So we’re guessing it should be safe against zombies. It’s air tight, with oxygen masks and plenty of food, water and even seatbelt. Inventors and scientists will be able to barter goods for sharing their survival ideas.
4. Economists
Once some order is restored to the zombie apocalypse, and the initial panic has subsided some type of currency will be put in use. Your paper currency is probably best used as toilet paper at this point in the apocalypse but certain preppers will be ready for the barter system to take over. Stocking up on certain things now, like batteries, nails, and toilet paper might seem a little ridiculous now, but who knows! Maybe during the apocalypse, simply supplies like these could be prove to be worth their weight in gold. The economist specifically stocks up on supplies in order to become rich through the barter system. In order to get a good look at what might be valuable during the apocalypse, you can understand better by seeing what’s used as currency in prison. Things like ramen noodles are now the commodity of choice but other things like mackerels, homemade wine, cigarettes and weapons. It’s known that some packs of cigarettes have sold for as much as 500 dollars behind prison walls! Other things like silver and copper coins containing valuable metals have been minted specifically for the zombie apocalypse like you see in this photo, called zombucks. It’s difficult to say exactly what will have the most value, but things like fuel, seeds, medicine, bleach,, things to start fires and other things we already mentioned are good places to start.
3. Scavengers
Scavenging is similar to looting in a way but these survivors don’t want to put themselves in as much danger as the looters do and go more for commercial areas. Of course, no one wants to become a scavenger but it’s the apocalypse and not everyone properly prepared! This might not be the worst strategy either and requires little to no time preparing. When many people have fallen ill from the virus, there will be a lot to gain from scavenging. For this one, you still going to need supplies in order to become the best possible scavenger. Supplies like bags, batteries and flashlights are all crucial.Be careful in choosing you bag since you want something that can move quickly. More skilled scavengers will be skilled in breaking and entering. Places like museums, abandoned warehouses, pharmacies, hospitals, gun stores, police stations, camping stores and many places. Be careful however, when scavenging refrigerated items since there’s a good chance they spoiled.
2. Mole People
While most people will probably end up living above ground, there are those who choose the underground. This choice is somewhat drastic but there’s a good chance you’ll go undetected by looters and zombies if you choose this prepping strategy. It’s quite surprising to see what some humans are capable of creating underground. Things like entire cities are possible in the right area. Many people have invested millions of dollars in their private underground bunkers, but for the less fortunate ones in highly populated, places like subway systems become a last resort. Once the zombies have left the station, it can easily be secured with the proper equipment.

Zombie Teams
While preparing for the zombie apocalypse, it’s easy to see how resources will go longer without as many mouths to feed but trying to be a lone survivor is not recommended. Surviving would be possible by yourself of course but many question how one’s mental health would be from lack of socializing during such a traumatic event. This one reason why you need a zombie team, it’s preferably to have an extra set of ears, eyes, and specialties while looking out for zombies. Choosing a team isn’t always easy either. You’ll have to see which type of surviving suits you best. You might find out who someone truly is until the apocalypse goes down, so choose wisely and hopefully you won’t be that guy who dies first.

I think the best strategy for ending the zombie epidemic would be to have teams circling the outskirts of towns/cities, picking off straggler zombies and slowly closing the loop, always having a path behind you that's been cleared and patrolled numerous times.
Yes, assuming you have it 100% contained within the loop. otherwise, my idea would be to set up massive amounts of stereo equipment, lure them into specific kill-zones, and then start picking them off. Think Battle of Hope in WWZ. But your method would help keep them contained while its being set up. if you use anything other than rifles and maybe napalm than you are just wasting time as conventional explosives will do fuck all outside of a very small area. you would only end up crippling zeds and making a mess that doesn't need to be there. With the possibility of zeds coming from every angle, you might want two circles-one facing in and another stationary circle facing out.
Good idea. Hopefully if the zombie apocalypse comes, we can combine our knowledge to become great zombie conquering generals.

Nope. Far from it. Not that I'm terribly worried about zombies, though. The military would pick them off from helicopters long before their numbers got large enough to overwhelm humanity.

Plus if you go to mars you cant come back because your body will get used to the gravity lower on mars so when you come back to your body wont be able to hold itself up properly. Plus it takes years to get there in the first place.

My plan is to live out on some island in the Pacific. Max Brooks's novel World War Z illustrates this quite well. In the book, we saw one island, and there were many boats there, and the people all worked together to survive. That's probably what many islands would look like, because there would be tons of people that go out to sea.
You should live in New Zealand then.
On a lot of those islands out in the Pacific, there is a lot of unstable, unexploded ordanance from WW2. Not very safe.

Yep. Sure its fun to pretend, but their are a lot of people who believe in zombies and stock up like crazy. Its not bad to have extra supplies on hand. I live in a hurricane area, we loose power a lot, stocking up is good, but not to the degree some of these whack jobs do.

Not necessarily, there have been movies where zombies were capable of walking under water (Land of the Dead) and a movie where you see a zombie fight a shark under water (can't remember the name of it) also on Fear the Walking Dead, in season 2, zombies are washing up on the shore of an island.

the best vehicle for a zombie apocalypse would be a modified School Bus NB Electric in your generators to charge the battery would be multi fueled via wood gas gasoline diesel types solar panels wind turbine all stuff to keep your batteries charged and vehicle moving electric lawn mower Motors and blades on the outside of the bus to keep spiders away snow plow to divert walkers from in front of your vehicle to the side it will hold lot of food water and even growing a small garden for three or four people along with protein animals chickens rabbits rats

I'd steel a motorboat, and find some house on an island (I'm on the coast of the Baltic Sea). I'd then go back to the mainland and grab proper supplies for fortifications and foods and things. I'd then spend my time conducting raids on the mainland, and just working on my fort.
