Hey Dr B!! Been too long! Years ago I was on my way home. The cops were stopping everyone to make sure they were sober. My speech wasn’t slurring at the time but still made me get out of the car. Wanted me to close my eyes & touch my nose. Told them I hadn’t been able to do that in while. Then wanted me to Tandem walk! This was before I could. Failed! Told them I had MS. They continued. FAIL! Finally, I got them to give me a breathalyzer test. No alcohol at all. Passed it. That’s when they believed me. 😅
I wish we had some sort of medical card that would be accepted so no one would have to go through this.

    Classic MS joke:
How can you tell a person with MS is drunk?
A: They can walk in a straight line!

What a great way to bring both topics together- excellent explanation Doc.
This will put many people mind at ease. As confirmed “ no I’m not drunk! I have MS” ❤

Before my diagnosis in November 2019 I saw a neurologist who did these tests on me and he said there’s nothing wrong with me. 3 months after that I met another neurologist- a friend of my ophthalmologist - I walked into his room and his first words were you’ve got MS. 4 months later after a contrasting MRI I was officially diagnosed and told I’d been undiagnosed since at least 2005. Doctors said I was anxious and it was all in my head. Those tests clearly proved nothing with me!!

For at least the time being, I'm giving up on doctors because they always lie to me about something. I finally got a new doctor and when she did the knee reflex test I really jumped. She stopped and looked at me funny. I said yeah, my reflexes make me really jump, but that's the MS, right? She said reflexes have nothing to do with MS. Well, I found out she lied to me, and I brought it up at my next appointment and she lied again, and she denied ever saying it.
Screw doctors and their constant lies!!!
BTW, after I told her my concerns with MS drugs, she said her only job is prescribing me MS drugs and she can't help me with anything else. I said I had concerns about cancer and she said anyone can get cancer.
I said I have concerns about side effects too, and she said MS infusion drugs have no side effects. Which is weird because the drugs themselves warn of side effects.
I think the best thing I can do now to protect myself from harm is to STOP listening to doctors because they all lie to me.
MS is hard enough to deal with without being lied to constantly!!!! This world SUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like you I refused the MS drugs. If your doctor said MS infusion drugs have no side effects, that doctor is telling a lie and probably shouldn't be practicing. I have no regrets for refusing the drugs and instead I try to do some exercise and eat properly. I don't expect anyone to follow my example. I also found doctors from time to time tell you a lot of garbage so I don't rely on them either. Many of them are also outlets for big pharma which is NOT good for the patient. Hope you do well and try to be positive as life can still be enjoyed.

My husband used to be a cop, so I asked him to give me a field sobriety test just to see if I could pass it. NOPE lol

My neuro exam was "normal" from 2016 to 2019. My actual "mini" symptoms started in 2013. I'm so upset that I went 6 years without a diagnosis when I could have been taking a dmt

My neuro ordered mri of brain which showed white matter disease and he said one abutted corpus collosum..other mri's didn't really show much..OCT showed mild MS... He said he doesn't have a definitive dx of MS because I've had same problems for years..left sided leg weakness . I have an appointment to see him but he says there's not much else that he can do except order an LP. What do you think Dr Boster??

QUESTION have you noticed that a lot of your patients get bad like a lot of that when it’s really near your next infusion? I found out I get it about 1.5 months before my next infusion.

So we should avoid a field sobriety test and only go for blood or breath.

I need a neurologist (I have one for my actual Ms) but I’m having a family emergency about Ms progression and a family member accusing my of intentionally attacking them and to all looking it looked like it but I was unable to speak and much more drama stuff happed and they believe I did it all intentionally it was all neurological not one bit anger I don’t have any of your options to get ahold of you how do I send a message I’m not wanting to share my stuff here. People keep me at top please as I’m still in fight or flight I forgot to mention they came and tried to get me put in looney bin and asked how to do it with out my permission and the cop was hostile and mean and because I was agitated with here days no sleep four days no food I also have hearing issues for auditory regulation is harder. She literally told me if I don’t go to bed she would take me in
