    Oh I was in the same place as you, I had 3 kids and was 26 when I got diagnosed. The Neurologist told me the same about diet and turning to the internet. I turned to Diet right away as that was my only option as I had new symptoms every 3 days I woke up. I also have 5 boys now and doing great and I’m 41 now. Keep going it inspires all that are on the Diet to see one doing good. I appreciate the ones going out of their way to help people like us. 💕

      what diet are you on?

    • @VersículosEmAção

      Hello, I already went through this with someone very close to me, and after a lot of struggle and suffering we found a cure, I have already witnessed many cases of people who did not even see anymore or did not walk back to having a totally normal life, so I came to leave here the treatment that was really effective. The pharmaceutical industry has no interest in making this known, as vitamins are cheap and do not make as high a profit as conventional treatments. The Coimbra protocol was developed by the doctor PH.D. Cícero Galli Coimbra who is a neurologist and professor at the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil.
      proposes therapeutic dosages of vitamin D
      generally superior to what the pharmaceutical industries recommend
      this is a medical treatment that must always be carried out under the supervision of a qualified doctor
      Vitamin D is actually a D3 hormone
      Its main function in the human body is to regulate and enhance innate immunity
      So it is able to silence autoimmune diseases.
      This protocol also corrects levels of other vitamins and minerals such as magnesium
      to avoid kidney overload
      Drink at least 2.5 liters of water per day
      Restrictive calcium diet
      Do not consume foods such as: all dairy products (milk, yoghurts, cheeses), as well as chestnuts, dried fruits, canned sardines, orange juice, açaí, etc.
      Thousands of academic publications prove the efficacy of vitamin D in autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease, Vitiligo, Psoriasis, Type 1 diabetes, Sjögren's syndrome, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, autism ...
      Vitamin D has about 80 functions in our body
      Vitamin D is the largest regulator of activity in the immune system
      When vitamin D is deficient, the patient is unable to regulate, which means stimulating or reducing the activity of thousands of biological functions within the cells of the immune system.

    Same. Diagnosed with MS 2 days after new years 2023. Lost vision in my right eye, problems with my left leg in walking, weakness in left arm. Neurologist laughed when i asked about diet, etc. LAUGHED at me. I refused the drugs because the side effects sounded worse than the disease itself. So, instead, I changed everything about my diet, my mind and body. I walk miles everyday, (still can't run, but i will again). I take B & D, ATP 360 for mitochondrial support and another supplement for adrenal. I smoke heavy CBD strain pot, do Tai Chi and Qi Gong and took on card magic and slight of hand to keep my dexterity and mind sharp. I pray and meditate throughout the day. Depression still hits hard but i take Honopure to combat that too. My vision has return almost to 100%, my strength is returning, all of which docs say is impossible and think I'm making it up.... funny, that's what they said first when i was trying to get diagnosed in the first place ("its all in your head"). If you have this disease, it's no joke, it will test you on how bad you want to live. If you, reading this, is looking for some aleternative answer, cut out sugar, glute, alcohol, red meat, and cigerettes immediately, cold turkey! Look up Dr. Nicole Apelian (she was on the show Alone), read Walking on Pins and Needles. Watch the documentary DEALT about Richard Turner (the o.g. of not letting a disability define you). Stay moving. Tell fear to go F itself. Find spiritualism, i suggest Taoism, Gnosticism and stoic philosophy, and pray to your God for strength, dig deep, find your grand purpose and don't let a doc tell you you're a fool for believing in yourself and the power of The Way.

(She actually passed away a 2-3 months after finding out she had Stage 4 lung cancer )(on top of final stages of MS). Now, on top of all of that, my twin sister was diagnosed with MS 2 years ago. Only after having a mild stroke was she actually diagnosed with MS. We lost our mom to Early Onset Alzheimer’s at age of 56. And to top all of that off, our dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about 3 years ago..... so to see this video, it gives all of us some hope and positivity that we are on the cuffs of a cure for MS. My family physician feels I was screwed over by our healthcare system. I was athletic, beautiful, youthful, adventurous and now use a walker in home and out everyday. I think there shouldn’t be this misunderstanding - since demyelination can occur in different areas, the symptoms each person gets can vary. You can wake up on day feeling cramps in spontaneous areas in your toes, then next in your stomach, or hands. If you’re fortunate, you can get remylination, but that doesn’t guarantee your body will regain 100% full function. You just hope and pray, as your body heals, that you can return to a state of normal before the MS diagnosis. You should aim to prevent anything that could trigger a relapse, anything that can cause more inflammation, as the inflammation is what progresses damage. I do believe diet can benefit with removing inflammatory foods out, but I’d hate for this misconception like that will 100% remove symptoms or the risk of relapse.

    1. Any time someone eats better, they feel better... No matter what disease you have or don't have. 2. RRMS ... Relapse Remit... During remission your body sometimes heals. Yes. Eat better & you'll feel better. However, don't promote diet as a cure or reversal. Not everyone has RRMS . Some have PPMS or have SPMS and have gotten to the point where there relapses and progression can't be reversed or helped anymore, by diet or other. I am happy for you that you are doing better. I pray that you always do. But I am not a believer in this diet cure stuff and find it really hurtful to many in the MS world by claiming it as a cure... Or reversal.. no, it's you have RRMS and you're in a remission, period.

    This is awesome! I don’t have MS but I have cervical arthritis and l had leaky gut and my GI doctor didn’t believe me about leaky gut so I tried this diet and it got rid of my leaky gut and my arthritis isn’t as painful as it was before. I’ve been on the diet since january2022 and in one week I saw and felt such a huge difference. I’m hoping to reverse my arthritis and I also have interstitial cistitis due to getting my first uti ever in august 2021 , so I’m also on the diet for those two reasons. I’m just glad I am able to walk and do light exercises because I used to be in bed all day because I was in pain every single day due to cervical arthritis and now I can lift a case of water bottles and sit down without back pain and do Zumba. I’m only 28yrs old and I’ve always been into fitness but I ended up getting floxed because my doctor prescribed me a dangerous medication for a uti, that almost left me wheel chair bound because it did a lot of damage to my tendons, joints, nervous system and gut

      Cranberry is great for uti you can get in capsules

    • @AprilJoi5
      @AprilJoi5 ปีที่แล้ว

      D-Mannose works well for ecoli (which is about 90% of UTI's) and a product called UroTone is good if it's other strains. Cranberry taken with those is very helpful too. SSKI (saturated solution of potassium iodide) is another possible option, but can only be obtained from a natural clinic. I get it from the Tahoma Clinic in WA. But research it first, as it may not be the best choice for your situation. It can interfere with thyroid function temporarily, usually 1-3 days, but completely sanitizes the urinary tract. I prefer the 1st supplements, but have used both. If you have chronic UTI's you should consider taking herbs to disrupt biofilms, where bacteria and yeast can hide until it's safe to come out and propagate again.
      It sounds like your Dr gave you a Fluoroquinolone antibiotic... Dangerous stuff. But it sounds like you've made great strides to improve your health. Wishing you continued healing!

    The Bible has much to say about food, medicine, and healing.
    Great wisdom for those that seek it.
    And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed. It shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters issued out of the sanctuary;
    👉and the fruit thereof shall be for meat and the leaf thereof for medicine.” 👈

      Look up the bible diet. Most foods mentioned in the bible I have heard is white to off-white.
      Avoiding just the carotenoid lutein have been said to help the neurological condition of autism, called "Sara's diet". I would like to recommend The Nutrition Detective Dr. Garrett Smith (who has a youtube channel and program) and Grant Genereux (who have written three free ebooks and has a forum). Both of them promote the avoidance of excessive vitamin A.

    I was diagnosed 2014 and got on Avonex, but got an MS attack whilst on it and that's when I discovered Terry Walsh diet threw her Ted Talk, and I started on it immediately. I'm not longer on it, because it's a tough diet to stick to, but still eat very healthy (no dairy, no gluten, no processed foods and lots of vegetables and organic meat). I'm also still on Avonex (the least toxic medication for MS and is only 30% effective) and I've not have a MS attack or inflammation since 2017 when I went off Avonex cause I thought that the diet had decreased the inflammation so much I could get off the medications, but as said before the diet is tough and it's hard to fallow completely and I didn't at the time, and I also was very stressed and didn't sleep well, so I was a little bit too naive to get off the medication. The combination with Avonex and a healthy diet has proven to be effective for me at least. Right now I have NO symptom of the disease. I only have neuropathic signals (vibrations) in my feet when I get tired. And warm weather makes me really fatigued.

      I was recently diagnosed with MS. They told me I've had it for a couple decades or more based on my medical history. Since it took a few decades to diagnose I did what I could to make myself feel better. Exercise and healthy eating have helped me significantly. Psychiatric counseling helped dramatically as well, even without taking their recommended pills. But my symptoms are still progressing and my eyesight fails me some days. So I've been doing a terrible amount of research on treatment options. Stem cell therapy seems like an effective treatment from what I've seen so far. Theres a few methods, but the one that interests me is mesenchymal stem cell therapy
      Unlike the HSCT they dont give chemo therapy before the stem cells. Theres a few different variables to the stem cells, I like the one that comes from your own cells. I'm not finished with my research yet but this is what I've come up with for myself. I hope this helps in some way.

My father died at 62 from Lou Gehrig's disease. I lost my brother about three years ago to Parkinson's disease. My sister-in-law , who was recently diagnosed with MS was told by her neurologist's PA, that diet had very little to do with MS. If I was able to find this information out that would be life-changing for her, why is this not put into practice by our health system? Unfortunately, I think we all know the answer to that.

      It can, and a healthy diet can keep the person in remission. People often die and have relapse on the drugs as well. So if I can use diet without side effects to put me and keep me in remission vs taking drugs with side effects that lower my quality of life and don't do much, I will take the dietary approach. Also, if I go off my diet, I relapse, go back on the diet, remission, go off the diet, relapse.. I have tested it over and over. This diet has been shown in at least one study to work. It is going through another trial now I think. I am not on this specific diet. I am on carnivore. Ketosis seems to be the key for me. Ketosis is also being studied for MS and is thought to be the best thing for all neurodegenerative diseases. Your friend may have done the version of her diet that is not ketogenic. She has 3 levels of her diet. The non keto diet helped me but not nearly as much as the carnivore diet.

      What's her current status? What most people don't know is that Wahls has done two chemotherapies before the diet stuff and those probably acted as immune reconstitution therapies. The diet might have helped heal her some AFTER the chemotherapies stopped the inflammation. At least for a time. But it's tragic that people don't realise this and believe just diet will cure MS. In most cases it won't, but they might be misled by feeling fine during remission years. This show must STOP promoting medicine that is not evidence based. There has never been an RCT or rigorous study to validate this. There has only been a small 36 week study done by Dr. Wahls herself. “Because there is not currently enough evidence to recommend a specific diet for MS, the National MS Society (NMSS) recommends pwMS follow healthy eating guidelines for the general population such as the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans (DGA)”

    • @emilye709
      @emilye709 4 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Nothing is more dangerous than the SAD. . guess who pays for and often performs the research done on drugs? Guess how long those studies are. Guess how many people are harmed by those drugs. Guess how many people are harmed by changing their diet from one that is killing them(SAD) to any other diet. Guess how often drug companies are sued for giving Drs and pharmacy money to sell their drugs.
      Look how many people with MS are on multiple drugs and keep declining and/or have horrible side effects. The drugs simply do not work. The benefits of this diet, far outweigh the "risks".
      Are you aware that the food guidelines are not even evidence based? Or that Medical Doctor do not learn nutrition? Or that nutrition studies are poorly performed. They look at a food and see what nutrients are in it then say based on that, that it is healthy. Now we are starting to realize that just because a food contains a nutrient, does not mean that it is bioavailable. Turns out most plant nutrients are not absorbed or uses by the human body because they are locked up by antinutrients. Those antinutrients not only lock up nutrients in the plant but bind to nutrients in the human body, carrying them out of the body. The other way that nutrition Science is done is by surveys. Litterally just asking people what they eat and looking at their health. They do not account for any other variable such as smoking, income, community...Science litterally knows nothing about nutrition and their gueses have got us to where we are now, fat and sick. They assumed that dietary cholesterol increases blood cholesterol. Now we know this is not true, yet Dr. Still recommend it because they don't yet know any better. It's not like Dr. Sit around looking through studies all day. Which is exactly what Dr. Wahls did when she got MS and her Dr. Had no help or answers for her. There is a ton of info out there that Dr are not being taught. The food guidelines are based on helping farmers sell food. The USDA has no place making food recommendations.
      I will take an "non evidence" based diet any day over the alternative, whivh is being miserable and dealing with drug side effects. I use the Carnivore diet to control my MS and it works. There are so many anecdotes of people reversing their illnesses, especially autoimmunity, with this diet. It is not The Wahls diet, but it shows what an impact diet can have. Those of us with MS do not have time to sit and wait fir studies to be done on these diets. We know they work so we use them so that we can have our lives back.

      Great points Emily! So I'm on Rebif diagnosed almost 3 years ago with MS and have only steadily declined. I've been approved for Tysabri but the side effects are brutal. Yet we are supposed to continue to feed the medical communities narrative that drugs are the only solution. Clearly there is no downside to radically altering your diet to maximize nutrient absorption and brain function. I'll take my chances with diet.

      The USDA is not a reliable guideline. It’s been proven that they’re bought out by large corporations in the meat and dairy industry.

      So sorry, not trying to throw any shade at NMSS, but despite the many programs we offered at our chapter office, much of what we did had absolutely nothing to do with finding partial treatments and or remedies. Rather, the big pharma company reps would either call or stop by our office' all for the purpose of offering/peddling their rather expensive medications. Back in the day, circa 1997, as I recall clearly now, it was Avonex, Betaseron, and Copaxone. I was a branch chapter program coordinator, so I was one of the people that MS patients would call via the 1-800 number. ..How I used to get so upset, having to sit there day after day, evening after evening, hearing the way so chapter members were so very upset; crying due to their symptoms, and doing their best to manage the disease's effects, sigh. ...Well, it's 20 years later. '- I myself was diagnosed now as of 2016, and from experience, I know, that unless you have a wheel barrel filled full of money, or a substantial medical insurance plan, MS unfortunately is a long-term and "very expensive disease to treat." Unfortunately, there's no money so it seems in the Cure..; -Only [Treatment]. (Wink). - Best, \\//

      Honestly, I am having a problem with balance and walking for distance. Could not determine if it was due to a severe upper molar infection causing Otitis Media, or some form or Vestibular Disease, so I errored on the side of caution and began the Wahl's Protocol back in August, 2021. Honestly, I did notice the way I slowly began to level out from my balance symptoms, so when I followed up and went to an Acute Care Center for the Balance problem, I thought Amoxicillin alone would be sufficient. Clearly it wasn't. I am noticing I am slow sliding backwards again. I also returned to eating more processed food the way I used to. Honestly, since I am on a very strict budget, I have everything to gain, simply by eating Stahl's Protocol food, because it tends to cost far less, and it's far better for me instead of all of the processed dead frozen food, that comes in boxes, designed to make me think I'm in any way getting a decent home cooked meal. Actually, frozen processed food I am finding after many years of eating it, is some of the worse shit a human being can consume to remain happy and healthy. I realize my mistakes, now that I went once on the Wahl's Protocol, and if for some reason I don't get better, at least I did not spend the last portion of my life, eating out of a frozen foods garbage can at the local Mega-Low Mart for $3.00 bucks a throw. Question: When have you ever seen wealthy people actually ""shopping and buying ANYTHING healthy from a Mega-Low Mart..?" -
      Congratulations... You just answered your own question. - Peace. \\//

      It could be but eating a clean diet with no sugar and healthy fats most definitely will improve any condition no matter what that is.
