I have been on 7 different so called help sites for this issue and have followed the steps exactly and still when I sign into the games that were on my old phone, on the new one I still have to start over, this is freaking insane.

Unfortunately it don't work for iphones in the video you need a sd cards that are only for android, so this game data transferring is only for android to android :-)
Android phones cannot do backup without a computer unless the phone is already rooted. App developers are free to use Google cloud backup but that is opt-in feature and if developers do not do it, you'll not have backups without a computer.

Find the folder where the emulator is on your phone. Then the folder of the game which has the save file. I believe called sram. All save files from roms can always be moved

Follow my steps and get high chance of getting progress back. 1- Make sure the game supports Account Log-in (Google play games, facebook, Twitter, etc) 2- Sign in with the account that you are going to be using in your new phone. 3- Save the data in your account. 4- Download the app that you used which has the game data in it in your new phone. 5- Sign in in the app 6- Transfer the game using ShareIT or Xender or some other app. (make sure to share the OBB file aswell) 7- sign in with the account which has the data in the game in the new phone. it will ask something like Continue from where you left off or Start new in some games just click continue and boom. the video legitimately is bullshit and alot of work.

You need EXTERNAL STORAGE, a SIM card to put the game on. Then pop out the card, insert into new phone, there you have it!
