0:17 this glitch occurs because when Sonic is close to the loop, he goes on Foreground layer to go on loop and then back on Advance layer. But when Sonic is on Foreground layer, doing special attack causes him to move further away from loop. Close to the loop there is some ground that is on Advance layer, but Sonic is now on Foreground layer, means he will pass through every layer which is behind him. That means jumping on it will be a Dead End.

The path swapper explanation was the best visual explanation of a glitch I've ever seen. That concept would take ages to describe with words alone, but that 3D visual makes it totally obvious almost immediately. Very well done.
On sonic advance 3, I've found a small bug on hub world 7 where if you get your partner on a spinning Sprite platform and move it away from its original spot and get it off screen, the platform Sprite resets but not your partner, causing it to get stuck and run in midair. Sprites don't exist offscreen, but your partner does. Can you make glitches on SA3?
I know this video is pretty old, but the Egg Rocket speedrun glitch doesn't work for me. I don't know if my version of the game is newer, I do know it's European, but when I try to do a "quick spindash" (I'm not sure of what that is exactly) and put Tails inside the floor in the first place (as shown at 2:21), Tails just keeps rolling on the surface as normal.
I like it when you use real Speedrun terms, and go over TAS-only glitches. It makes the compilation feel a lot more complete that way! I'd love it if you took another look at some Pokemon games, since they're so wonderful to break. Emerald especially has somethings called the Pomeg glitch, which recently has been shown to allow capture of any Pokemon you want, access Pokemon beyond the 6th slot, and might even open up ACE in the future! Definitely worth a look!
I remember I had this game when I was a kid. One day I turned it on and I was at the end of the game(I don't know I never beat it) but it was like super sonic and there was eggman but Sonic was all glitchy(he was flashing like red and white) and had fire trailing behind him and the setting was in space. Doing a little research after posting this comment I guess it was a glitch that happens once in a blue moon where the game will load up 100% and starting the game will put you at the end.
you guys should do TombRaider. it has some funky skips that are cool. and you can beat the game in under and hour if you are an amature glitcher. some glitches in the game can end up softlocking you. one can even skip a whole chunk of 1 level just by jumping at a corner to bypass the trigger that was set on the path.
I did a glitch with Knuckles, In the First stage, i went to where the loops were and next to the spring, I then did a spin dash but Knuckles was too Quick, so he wasnt on screen, so i ended up on a further Part of the level

I came across this weird glitch in one of my playthroughs of the game. As Sonic in Neo Green Hill (not entirely sure which Act, but I'm pretty sure it was Act 1), I started grinding on a rail, but instead of jumping off, Sonic just kinda kept grinding on thin air. Because the rail was diagonal, I hit the death-plain at the bottom shortly after. This never happened again. The effect looks really similar to that of the Path Swapper glitch, but I hadn't done anything to trigger that glitch to my knowledge, I didn't even know the glitch existed at the time. Has this happened to anyone else?
You can sometimes manage the Ultra Spindash by hand, but you've gotta have REALLY good button mashing skills. The minimum rate of pressing to pull the trick off is about ten presses per second. I can sometimes get it to work by button mashing like crazy and the completely dropping the controls and letting my character just go.
Minecraft Pocket Edition episode pls. (Ex. If you die and refill your hp using the toomanyitems mod, you'll be in a weird glitched state on the verge of life n death, as the game doesn't know which one is happening. It's not game breaking, and you can easily correct it by quitting out or dying again. This glitch does sill leave the game in a playable state, and really just is a visual glitch mostly)

Load it up again, then select single player, and then the entire game can break. The menu shifts to the screen corner, and it reverses the colors.

There is also a Super Sonic glitch. If you clear Moon Zone and then link up (single pak) with a friend, player 1 is Super Sonic. There are a lot of glitches happening if this occurs; such as the other player having a clone somewhere in the level and Sonic being stuck in a box with invisible walls if he dies as Super Sonic. I accidentally discovered this as a kid a loooong time ago, so I'm not sure what kind of glitchy things happen with this.

That final one isn't a glitch, it's the bad ending... Sonic's lifeless corpse floating in space,, while everything explodes around him... Tails, in his naivety, doesn't realise Sonic is actually dead and waits for him to answer, but he never does and they both die in space together.
There exists this other glitch/bug that you can perform in the second and third zone and it involves the capsule After the boss is finished, you can position yourself in the exact middle of the screen the capsule will fall on you, but instead of pushing you to a side you were closer too, you'll get stuck inside the capsule Well not really stuck, as you can just spindash out of it Although i have this glitch while playing on emulator (i don't have own a actual copy of the game or a gba) so it might have something to do with that

In egg rocket zone, after the first gravity flip, there is an invincibility item next to some spikes. Get the item, and climb down the wall with Knuckles, if you do this, you will end up inside the wall.
