Dany's speech where she frees the Unsullied is my favorite speech from the show. Not that long but so good, and Emilia Clarke kills it. Great great moment

100% agree with Jaime's anguish being more mental than physical when it happens. I broke my foot this summer and I'm a theatre performer, construction worker, and runner. Even temporarily losing your ability to perform the acts which define you and give you a sense of identity is absolutely devastating.

Years later and I still love coming back to these. GoT is still my favorite thing that has ever been on a screen. Movie and show alike. Sure the last season has its issues. I agree with a number of criticisms. It was rushed. Hasn't changed my opinion. I hope HotD is at least as good. Hope it takes it's time.

Allyson Wonderland --I haven’t started on the books yet. I love Lord of the Rings & was told ‘you’ll love Game of Thrones’!! They were right, dammit!! I love hearing the contrast on here with the show & the books. The reminder of ‘the Twins’ is so cool, one going further into degradation and the other (being away from being influenced) having the dross burned away...then the DT (dirty twin) really sets the joint on 🔥 Fire.

It’s amazing how mysterious Varys used to be in the show and continues to be in the books. Same with Littlefinger. I’ll never get over the show’s newer seasons and the nonsensical things both of these incredible characters do.

I've always been a bit disappointed in Joffery's death. I would have loved to see him get exposed for the coward he was. He talked a big game, but Arya showed him to be the craven he was. Unfortunately no one else but that airhead Sansa (and the poor butcher's boy) ever got to see his humiliation.

About to get to one of the best episodes in the series, kissed by fire, soooo fucking pumped to get to that part when this was airing, but the thematic connections in that episode, so perfect

That last scene is my favorite in the whole show. What it showed wasn't just Dany at her best, but that she really was one of the smartest characters in the entire story. Easily rivaling Tyrion. What has been a major disappointment for me is how D&D have subsequently dumbed her down, just like with all the other characters, in the years since. The season 7 Daenerys was an insult to the season 3 Daenerys.
I agree. Dany was not only smart, was was smart enough to realize letting people think she is dumb can be good for her. They see a girl and they are not threatened, they let their guard down, and them BAM. She scares the fuck out of them. Is a thing that is often used by some of the smartest characters, like Tyrion with the slut dwarf thing.

I think I'm gonna start doing what Tywin is doing, sending letters to people.Not more e-mails or internet, not even talking people on the phone. Just randomly write people and just say things. "hey do you like this thing, I'm gonna give it to you if you give me that thing". Also I'm gonna have my own sigil.
This rewatch reminds me yet again how many of the great actors of the series have been killed off. Still, there are plenty left to suffer horrible deaths in Season 8.
The war started because Catelyn was in idiot and did something stupid and rash by kidnapping Tyrion. That pissed of Jaime, who captured Ned, causing Robb to call his banners. And then Joffery killed Ned, who responded by attempting to kill every Lannister. So Catelyn started the war that: killer her, her husband, and all but 3 of her children, who she assumes are all dead. (Except for Sansa, who is in King's landing. With the Lannisters.)

Because it fucks up the scene from season 2 episode 10. I think if you search up “Theon will kill that man” it’ll come up but basically Theon dropped some real truth bombs by saying that regardless of the kind way the Starks treated him the moment his father rebelled Ned Stark would be honor-bound to grab Ice and lop Theon’s head off.

Seasons 4 and 6 are my favorite. Season 4 mainly because of the Tyrion story line which seems to go down hill after that season. Battle of the bastards and Winds of winter are the best episodes of GOT and maybe even all of TV in my opinion. I also really liked parts of season 7 a lot and feel like it gets a bad rap sometimes.
