Great video. I really like how your straight forward and up front with everything. I look forward to you dropping videos but I understand the time it takes plus your full time job. Thanks for doing and sharing what you do. I dont even mind the rambling 😅.
Hey brother I would think with some rigging you could squeeze that bend mostly back straight....super nice boat id ask $1500 firm i think it would sell fast all weld is expensive...thank you for sharing brother 🇺🇸
I feel you on the Aug heat man we were 94/109 yesterday sweatin my arse off .. if its just that rail that is tweaked do you think it would be a fairly easy repair to straighten out .. would also be more content for another vid or2 .. just a thought .. i also understand not wanting to mess with it too lol
Wanna ask an opinion. Just got a 1751 riveted Jon boat. Had roller bunks I didn’t like so I did two ten foot 2x4s. You think those will support hull well or should I take them back off and do a 2x6 set. Thanks !!
So a friend of mine has his grandfather's jon boat and after watching you videos I offered to help him bring it back to life, he said it doesn't leak, would just filling it with water help test for a leak or is it better to put it in water and add weight in the water?
From what I’ve read, I’m no scientist, but it’s a different kind of pressure when you have a boat in the water vs, filling it up with water. But filling it up with water is a good way to find some leaks
Do you have an email I can send you some pics of a boat I'm in process of picking up. Old stsrcraft aluminum. Wanted to get opinion on worth time getting rehabbed

Should of used the mesh that comes with it, it will hold much better, I've used it on my kayak before

I think that will be fine. My 1756 has 2x4 bunks from the factory (g3/bear trailers)and they’re holding up well

@@backwaterboatrehab That what I was thinking, its the pressure that makes the difference. Thank you, keep up the great videos.
