Good for you keep it up. I think this is a really cool skill to have I want to learn how to do it and I'm thinking to practice on my 08 ram. It makes me nervous only because I don't how harder will be for me do to my wheelchair, but I'm motivated on it. :) good look for you man I hope to see a video from you or something 👍
Chris has gotten me out of some hairy situations when mid install in a wrap.(challenger front bumper most of all). He is definitely on of the best if not the best installer, teacher, etc I have ever checked out. I've learned so much from him. Keep up the good work and always remember "sticky side down". Lol
For those wondering: 3M Design line vs 3M Finish line knifeless tape Design line is a thinner filament and allows it to bend around curves and such easier but is harder to cut thick wraps like carbon fiber/3D patterned. Finish line is a thicker filament that can’t bend as easily but can cut through thicker vinyls easier for relatively straight cuts.
Christian, you are an amazing talent! Thank you for taking the time to explain every-single-step! You are a GREAT instructor. Thank you for posting all of these videos and please continue to do so. I appreciate them more than you know. I'm totally addicted to your channel and decided to subscribe today. Again...thank you for making the videos!!! I want to wrap a vehicle some day when I feel confident enough.
Dude, you are a wizard. I’d like to thank you for making these videos. While I can’t claim that anyone would use the word “awesome” when reviewing my work, I’m making positive strides forward. Well done my friend. Well done.
Christian is the real deal. While I will never be able to wrap like he does, he's inspired so many people to do it on their own. I always try to get people over here from my videos so they can learn from a pro -- not a hobbyist like myself. -Brent
The best thing in you is that it is quite evident that you enjoy doing your work immensely and added to that you are are a wonderful tutor . Thank you brother.
This guy really knows his stuff. Thanks to his other videos, I was able to wrap my 2010 Camaro hood with zero issues. It came out great with 3M 1080 Satin black. If I had waited until recently, i probably would have gone with Avery or VVivid instead. Luckily, i see no glue lines, so all is well.
This video was so helpful. I'm going to wrap my bumpers and my back bumper is just like this. I guessed that it would need an inlay but your project confirmed it for me. Thanks so much!
I would not mind a seam like that! That is flawless. Wish I saw this video before I did my bumper! May go redo it now, after seeing how to do a flawless inlay.
Great video! You’ve inspired me to wrap my car. I’ll start with a carbon fiber wrap on my hood & spoiler. Here’s a quick tip for you. Run your mic cable under your shirt. That way it stays out of your way while your working.Let the mic come out the top of your shirt & attach like normal.
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos! You have a talent for explaining something that is very hard to put into words. I can't imagine how much time and frustration you have saved for the amateur working at home.
Very impressive library of videos. Taught me that I would NEVER have the patience to do what you do! Also really appreciate your candid comments about the industry. Gotta find your shop so I can have you do my work!
First of all, thank you so much for your videos. You are an excellent teacher and I am sure everyone who watches your videos are learning so much. I am planning on vinyl wrapping my boat dash. I painstakingly have spent hours peeling off the old carpet from the dash and then taking the old cracked vinyl wrap and adhesive off. I was going to try to wrap the dash in one piece but your video explains well why I no longer feel I should. Doing the inlays/overlays separately are probably the better way to go for a first timer.
I can see the edge but I understand the logic and it looks great. you are a real talent and I'm grateful that you're willing to share your knowledge. thank you.
I'm old school but this wrap shit is great and really interest me . I'm learning from you so I can wrap my Elantra Sport hood and deck lid. Thank s man!!!!!!!
Let your videos run as long as they need to gives you a chance to monitize more than one commercial and on top of that those who truly want to learn dont mind the extra detail and time and will watch if they truly want to learn great content and keep it up little do you know you are changing peoples lives who are looking for a change of career
I think that practicing inlays would be a great idea to do before learning to take on a full wrap. As you said, you're going to have to do inlays eventually. Great, informative video, Christian. Much thanks. My best, Scott
I've done signs work my entire life and love what I do but I'm finding myself wrapping mine and my friends vehicles as a hobby, you are incredible. Thank God for your channel. Contemplating getting certified just to add to my skill set. I can tell you love and take pride in your work. Its amazing to watch the transformation in your wrap, work, and shop over the years. Great job.
Cheers brother, your vids helped guide me through wrapping my own car in matt white vinyl came out perfect, Now im going to wrap my hyosung gt650r in candy aqua, cant wait for this challange, Thats why im watching a inlay tutorial hahah Tyvm bro
I’ve never heard of knifeless tape but it sounds super useful for trying to make a really complicated 1/8” gap on a pc case. I can just wrap over the gap and then cut it out with the tape instead of an x-acto knife.
Really useful tips which I'll use when wrapping my FD. I can see the join/ line, but I've been working with car finishing for too long 😅 Looks great though to be fair, would be really happy with that if it were my car.
I just wrap for my first time my fenders and hood , but my bumper damn that shit was hard , i didn't do any inlays, and i need to redo it with inlays and finish the car. Thanks for the videos they are helpfull
Excellent video yet again man. I know this stuff already but its just so nice watching you demonstrate this and explaining the process in such a good fashion, a real teacher and mentor. Keep it up man, I always love watching your work, very therapeutic lol. I've no doubt we all appreciate your approach and positivity and screw anyone saying otherwise. Peace Out
You actually taught my buddy to wrap in one of your classes. You must be an amazing teacher because my car came out awesome! 2017 Challenger Scat Pack. I get stopped and have people take pictures everywhere I go. He just did a stripe but it's a custom stripe. Avery Satin Metallic Purple stripe over 3m Satin Dark Grey wrap. Wish I could share a pic of my car here.
I learned about Inlays and relief cuts today!!!! This will help me considerably.. I tried wrapping my lights for first time and boyyyyyy it was a struggle and I will re do them... Look up 2017 audi a3 tail lights and youll understand lol. @ckwraps would be legit to have a video on these lights because they seem to be like an extremely difficult project (for beginner like myself at least)
Thanks for taking the time to show us how you work. Would love to try wrapping my car this summer just for shiggles. been looking around for clear, concise, instructions paired with demonstrations. I appreciate both your skill set and willingness to teach others. Keep up the great work, and wish you even more success with your passion.
hello CK can you make a video showing how to wrap the bumper that came with parking sensor how do you do for wrap the sensor or you leave it like that?
Hi Chris... You are one of best guys what showing how to wrap....Im in this long time but never had idea to show this kind of work to People. I wrap a lot of cars...and always checking your chanel to see what neemw you sugest. I wolund had chance to wrap car together in future with you. maybe we gonna brake world record. but as Im living in Ireland will be not easy.
Just watching this video again . Would you suggest using an inlay or an overlay for this oarticular bumper? Would an overlay be better interms of having the lip of the seam facing downwards ? Maybe it would catch less dust water and increase durability ? Genuine question
Great videos man, thanks a lot. I just have a question, i watched first the overlay video, so my question is.. in that particular bumper wrapping in chrome would you do first the inlays then the bottom and then overlays or would you try a different approach? Thanks again for your videos
Hello sir, brand new subscriber here. Just wondering if doing an inlay here would expose the edge to the possibility of water seeping under the film? thank you.
Great videos. I love watching and learning from you. I understand how to inlay a solid color. How do you inlay a pattern, like carbon fiber, so it will all look the same?
Great video asusual man . Ive been watching your vids ov in the UK as i am gonna attemp to wrap my gsxr 1000. I always thouht the goal was to wrap using one big peice as the seams would be a weakness and would allow higher risk of water or peeling ? Im new to vinyl and these are alll genuine questions . Is it worth doing a seramic coating over the wrap to build resilience ?
What about the inside frames on doors? Do you inlay on them or do the wrap. like a jeep wrangler door frame area where the door comes off and you want to remove the door. What did you do for you Gladiator? Can you do a video on that? Like the a and b pillars.
I wonder how strong the knifeless tape is? Could you apply both the inlay and outside pieces with the knifeless tape underneath, and then pull on the tape to cut both pieces? That way, the joint would be perfect, no overlap or missing areas. Is this possible? Thanks for the great video. Makes me want to wrap my car! 👍👍
Hey Christian, so in my thinking of something like this, I would think since this is an area that gets a lot of things slid in and out the seam would be susceptible to something catching it and peeling it back when pulling a heavy item out of the trunk. Wouldn't it be better to have the seam along the lower edge of the body line instead of the top?
About to start doing my own wrapping business and this guy motivates me to keep practicing and not give up on wrapping!💯💪
Good for you keep it up. I think this is a really cool skill to have I want to learn how to do it and I'm thinking to practice on my 08 ram. Hands down. This guy is a real professional and the attention to detail is fantastic!!

Excellent video, that nifeless tape is just amazing! Inlays, your presentation was great 👍
Just watching this video again . Would you suggest using an inlay or an overlay for this oarticular bumper? Would an overlay be better interms of having the lip of the seam facing downwards ? Maybe it would catch less dust water and increase durability ? Genuine question
The overlay would work better in the long run
So would you wrap all inlays first before finishing off the bumper ?
Hi Christian, thank you very much for your tips and for your time
This is a great channel, thank you!
Amazing video, thanks for all the tips and content
Question….
On fiber carbon brand, do you know if can I see the seam of inlays ( I mean couse the texture) ???
thank you from TURKEY👍
Very professional. my only suggestion is to silence your phone. lol. Besides that flawless. Nice work & display of talent!! Keep it going
Have you done a C3 Corvette? If so what are the difficult areas?
which one is better? inlay or outlay? Im gonna wrap my car , so got another step from your channel . so , which one?
Great video Chris, keep them coming!
I’m using vivid wrap for interior parts on my 370z I have noticed it doesn’t like to stick very well any suggestions for this type of application
Chris, are chrome wrapping more difficult?
Great video! I’ve been waiting for this topic for a while.
Absolutely awesome video. Big help 👌🏼
Great videos man, thanks a lot. I just have a question, i watched first the overlay video, so my question is.. in that particular bumper wrapping in chrome would you do first the inlays then the bottom and then overlays or would you try a different approach?

Hey bro thanks for your lesson I just want to know what wrap can I use for my van it's a 97 ford explorer it going to be my first time
Hello sir, brand new subscriber here. Just wondering if doing an inlay here would expose the edge to the possibility of water seeping under the film? thank you.
what is on the end of your squeegee? I bought two that probably aren't that good? Where do you purchase product from?
Great videos. I love watching and learning from you. I understand how to inlay a solid color. How do you inlay a pattern, like carbon fiber, so it will all look the same?
You the man Christian, Love your videos😎👌🏽
Thanks for your videos there awesome reference
Thanks for the video. Do you have one or could you do one on a ribbed roof
aona16 check out his Jeep trackhawk roof wrap video, I think that’s the closest to what you’re looking for.
Josh Sillsby thanks
Does matte vinyls hide inlays more Chris? Also does darker or lighter colour hide better?
I would love to know the answer to this question as well.
Super clean. So, there is actually an overlap of two films?
is it better for this bumper to do THe bumper section first and than the recess after to get the overlape area pointing down to avoid friction?
I gave this video a thumbs up why? Because I liked it :)! Great video bro.
Would the seam start to lift if a person washes the car often ?
What about the inside frames on doors? Do you inlay on them or do the wrap. like a jeep wrangler door frame area where the door comes off and you want to remove the door. What did you do for you Gladiator? Can you do a video on that? Like the a and b pillars.

Do you inlay a 4 inch cowl induction carbon fiber hood for a mustang?
So when do you do an inlay and when do you do an overlay?
