    I have been wrapping for over 20 years and I must say your info is correct and well presented . those different door cuts do come in handy , sometimes you have one big copy/printed piece with a design for the side and you cant simply cut away the extra as there is no extra to cut away . all the material is used , so the first cut you showed is what I go with , or I will do a careful bridge-cut , then tuck both edges . it is the fastest way . also , I see a lot of heat guns in vids , you can save a lot more time if you get good with a propane torch . :-)

    Great video. I think the strip on the inside is an excellent idea. It’s a technic i use making metal car parts also.
    I think installing the strips inside first would be better then the way u you demonstrated it because the lip of the material is exposed edge
    If the small strip is applied inside first when you wrap the outside it will come in and lap over the strip make a better look and seal

    Awesome show mate.
    I’m a carpenter by trade but looking at wrap and the possibility of learning it for a side job I totally agreed with doing a really excellent job at great speed.
    Yes I could see my tool belt being full.
    Could you possibly help me to recommend a company or course to do in Australia that will teach me the right techniques and quality. With my trade I learn how to do things right first which is slower do working on speed which in turn gives such a high quality of work but as fast if not faster then others and the jobs done once no coming down and fixing ruff work.
    Any suggestions to move into this style of career?

  • @TycoTyrannus
    @TycoTyrannus 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just bought a Bmw Z3 and am going to wrap it myself for first time. The hood is wider and longer than 60". Whats to be done? I do not want to follow the hoods contour lines as the entire front of hood looks like an Alien head when done black and I want that look. Following contour would leave the hood half black and half white (my other color) and I don't want that. I was thinking maybe I have to do it in three parts. Center and left and right at contours with an inlay or outlay or whatever its called when put on a flat surface (for the most part) I really don't want to see a line of separation though.
