- In today’s video we meet Eric McNeal, who moved to Ghana 7 years ago to live off-grid in the mountains. This experience paved the way for his 200 acre eco-friendly gated community in Somanya in the Eastern Region.
We explore Migrating Culture Crossing with Eric, talk through his journey, the material choice, the units, amenities and everything in between.
The community is filled with so much greenery, is very sustainable and organic.

@@EricIsFree Great thing you have going there with beautiful property man! I'm just curious because this seems very much like a diaspora community would any white people be welcome to buy a home there? I'm asking as a white guy myself and have thought about moving there or to Kenya from the U.S.. I'm just curious how you feel about that and how others would view that? Either way wow what a great thing you have going on there...beautiful land and ideas...I wish you the best of luck.
If that's an uncomfortable question I apologize but it's bound to come up at some point I would think.

You're always welcome. As long as you assimilate to the natives' way of life and not impose on them your ways.
@sunnijames2802 If a person moves to another state or country to avoid things happening where they live but they do not change their values, the way they vote and their expectations, they turn their new community into the likeness of their old one. The people that make the best neighbors are the ones trying to improve their current community by getting involved.

Enjoyed the video. Our family had a Ghanian lady as a caregiver for our parents and she described her life in Ghana. She described a luxurious home with 4 bathrooms. Each bedroom had a bathroom. This revelation prompted me to upgrade my one-bathroom home. So, I cannot look at my personal bathroom without thinking of Esther. Also, Esther had many neighbors who were available for home chores. She lived like a queen when she was home.
Yes, Ghanaians love huge homes.

Showing what can be achieved when we support one another. It is important that African Americans see this but also understand the positives and any cultural changes to understand what they are getting into and ways to adapt. There should be safe tour guides or the ability to rent these locations to see what it is like to live there.
This is what the World should be doing.

This migration is one of the most significant changes that will impact indigenous and the African Diaspora through out the world; it restores our dignity as Africans and as our people influence structural developments, it will also improve sustainability. I hope this project extends to other African Countries. Furthermore, there are lots of African-Americans who are able bodied but are incarcerated and rendered obsolete once released from prison. Why not return them to Africa where they can start all over and construct homes and fans?
If they are interested. It would be wonderful 😊

Africa needs to do their own manufacturing... should not need to buy internationally for standard materials.
africa should build their own space ship to travel to different galaxies. Africa should just wake up one day and become technologically advanced and superior to every race on the planet and become ruler of planet earth. africa should wake up tomorrow and become rich. africa should wake up tomorrow and be all smart and rich and have unlimited knowledge. LET me know when you done dreaming while you go to work at walmart and pretend you are richer and better than other nations.
There are a lot of things that we should do, but they don't occur over night. They occur with individuals taking a single step toward that goal.
@@EricIsFree nah, africa should learn from the white man, and feel superior towards every race and copy the same attitude as the white colonizers, that way we can replace the white man as the most hated race on earth, acting superior to everyone else.
@@EricIsFree Overnight?! What do you mean over night? Africa's had plenty of time to get there stuff together. How about start valuing and connecting with your own moreso than outsiders and those who parasite upon your nations. Africans are as intelligent and industrious as any other but you value and allow outsiders to use you. You can't be respected based on that for me... it must change. You should've learned from all you've experienced and set about creating your own. Stop with the hand out stuff and allowing others to take your stuff for little to nothing and build your own. PS: If you don't eliminate sell out leaders and folks who seek affluence for themselves you'll never dig out of the grave the world puts you. DO BETTER.
