*first five seconds:* “maybe logic is different cause my 808s sit at like -1😂”
Mistake I used to make often was I'd make the whole beat on my laptop or bedroom pc and then export the wav to the studio. I later realized you don't really notice the 808 acting up when you use these regular enhanced headphones. So the beat sounds good, then it gets to the actual monitor and it sounds like some torture room shid
the truth is that there isnt no secret to mixing, it all comes with years of practice and training your ears on certain frequencies, and dont rely on buying expensive plugins to make your mix sound better, they are gonna make your mix sound worse cuz you dont know how to use them
Everything takes practice. You aren’t saying anything profound. And there are definitely things that all good mixing engineers do across the board . Don’t talk about situations you know nothing about bro
Very true
@@ChuTheCreator i just realized you responded, being hostile for no reason lmao
@@notprosperBEATSI wouldn’t worry. This is one of them “trap” producers who is defo calling the fed when the mandem come and rob his home studio 🤷🏼♂️ platinum or not, I’m snatching it all 😂
@@ChuTheCreatorWell damn.....whats up with that respone bro
Hello! You solved my biggest ever problem... Thanks for this ❤
My pleasure homie 🙏🙏
Bro thankyou so much
Happy to help
Much appreciated.
Yes! Thank you!!
That did help thanks friend. ❤❤❤❤❤
Big Business bro😭😭🔥
Love ur content bro. Your channel is pure gold
Thank you so much for your support homie!
Super helpfull video man!
Thanks Chu!
My pleasure homie
What I get confused at is the gain staging numbers verses the mixer fader numbers
Kick at 0
808 at 6
Clap/snare at 9
Hihat at 15
Melody at 12
For me idk if it's good
(with default limiter)
@@alxnderfive4646Iheard that default limiter is now such a good thing
🫡
Since the melody is so much lower, the waveform dynamic is so far apart (because of the drum transients). How is the waveform full and consistent when I look at professional beats? I have used a clipper and that frees up headroom to try to maximise loudness but I still can't get my beats loud enough still.
Okay, but what about the master chain ? What do we use ? Is Just a limiter/soft clipper okay?
Try a multi band compressor and a stereo shaper
Heard from Kenny beats that he uses nothing in his master chain. Unless vocals are being added
just a limiter to turn things up, you don't really need a bunch of eqs and glue compression and whatnot when mastering a beat maybe just add a soft clipper
@@sjwbeats6290that’s because for him the mastering happens when the artist has already rapped on the beat. So it’s not like the end product is actually dry. If you wanna make a beat to be played like it were a song you’re gonna wanna put master effects on it to make it hit louder
@@sjwbeats6290where?
at what Level did you gaistage the sounds?
What’s a good reference for dbs for sounds coming from the channel rack? Pre fader
I couldn’t say cause I don’t mix with references.
Il try these tips and imma stay tuned for more.💯
Nah...crank up ur kick and 808 and add a soft clipper on the master and ur good...oh and don't forget to put atleast five layers of soundgoodizer on the master before clipping..and ur good to go👍🏿
More Trash advice from user #5784. Great lol
@@ChuTheCreator u can clearly see I'm trolling here ryt?
What about the pre faders on the step sequencer what do you do with those?
I can only say so much in a 60 second video, check out some of my full length mixing videos
but what do you do after you level everything? How do you make it loud in the end?
I believe this video will answer your question 🙏🙏 How To Mix & Master Beats (Gainstaging, Equalization, Signal Flow, Brick-wall Limiting)
th-cam.com/video/XMoPzLZFtys/w-d-xo.html
@@ChuTheCreator cool thanks
as a starting point
thank you for watching!
Would an imager be better before or after a limiter on the master channel?
Your limiter should always be the last thing in your masterchain✌️
Gain staging from your patterns
Definitely
Dumb Question: I use garageband so how would I apply the tips with the fader bc i dont think I have that, would I just adjust it using volume instead?
Yeah. Faders just control volume
How did you get the db level to appear above the leveling knob. Like on a single mixing channel
If your asking how to read the db of individual tracks, just select a track and look to the left of the master. Whatever track is selected will show the dab for that track tk left of the master track. Not sure if that was the question hope it helps
Where do you go to add anime animations? I would love to try and implement something visual like that to my music!

Whenever i master my trap song my kick & 808 duck down my lead idk why even tho I'm not sidechaining it
I think this video will well you with this isssue th-cam.com/video/EVdvUG8VK70/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kBB1Gmhxe2sqQSr0
i think ur kick and 808 are too loud that happened to me too an it was bcuz these 2 were extremely over the top
@@icedupamin does lowering their volume or putting everything a bit louder will help me out?
@@atularken idk like id make sure that the kick hits at 0 preferably -3 db and 808 lower depending on how much you want it to stick out and then it should be okay. if melody is already loud enough don't make it louder just make other stuff quieter
What about chord progressions?
🧼
how do you gett that effect in the mixer, the moving waves?
He liked but didn’t answer you lol
Click the triangle options on the upper left of mixer, then go to drop down "view" and select "waveforms" or you can hit the alt+w shortcut when the mixer is open on windows
@@lenzytillman9673do you know how to get the decibel levels that he had when he moves the mixer up and down?
@@TooQuickMitch use the mixer size wide 2 or wide 3.
@@lenzytillman9673legend 👊
don't follow this down to a T, the sounds won't all be the same volume as used in the example, just use your ears
True. At some point you have to use your ears
Nah just mix on mute
You only got one main melody???
I guess so
Feel like thats gonna be a quiet ass mix
Try getting laid
Bro my 808 is on zero
DONT USE NUMBERS TO MIX!
USE UR EARS AND REFERENCE TO PROFESSIONAL, INDUSTRY MIXES!
Keep screaming
Clip whatever these teens don’t care about mixing and Spotify will turn it down anyways 🤷🏾♂️
Watch someone who's been producing for years and when they're finished every fader will still be at unison.....this was filled with a while lot of general statements. Doesn't include clip gain.....sample differences, maybe it doesn't have an 808.....ur explaining how instruments should be balanced.....not how to mix perfectly every time....🤦♂️🤷♂️
boy no one cares about what you are say
@@ChuTheCreator Boi this a video about music production and I'm a producer try a share what's factual and not bs content. If you don't care about how to discuss audio topics then wtf u doing watching this video fool?
nah ion like that it doesnt hit at all it has to clip
Clipping sounds better when the mixing is clean imo
Just don't call urself a producer unless you can mix....please 🤣🤌
