Thank you so much man I love your channel. You’re cool and calm I don’t like the drama myself that’s why I’m gonna try to stay in the province with the native people in a few more years when I retire thank you for your channel and God bless.
I agree 100%. I share the same views. I go there to enjoy the Philippines life and culture and foods. I don't want to be surrounded by westerners. I tend to lean on my wife there and her on me here. I'm happy just being surrounded by her family and friends in her village. We have house 99% complete. I'll get to start enjoying it this December. Enjoy the vlogs as always
I spent 10 months in the Philippines from December 2019 to October 2020 in Silang, Cavite. I went through the eruption of Taal and the pandemic which could have been a time to get into trouble but I stayed out of trouble by obeying the laws and other things that we made during the pandemic. There are some expats that live in the subdivision and everyone that I have met there are very friendly and helpful. I'm about a 15 minute drive from Tagaytay and the expats are spread out and there's not a lot of them in the subdivision. I enjoy the guards there because they're very friendly but when needed they do their jobs. I never once had a bad experience and I don't carry an attitude. Actually I enjoy doing things the Filipino way when I'm in the Philippines. I also make sure to be respectful to everyone and I do my best not to make it look like I'm better than anyone else because there's absolutely nothing that makes me better than the next person. I keep my mouth shut and if there's anything that happens like accidentally bumping into someone I say that I'm sorry regardless if they bumped into me. If you get angry don't say anything until you are alone where nobody can hear you or just keep those thoughts to yourself. Most of the time my wife isn't there with me because she's with her family in Bulacan so if I'm going anywhere there's a guy who takes care of our plants that I can go with or I will have friends visit and that way I'm with a person from the Philippines and they can do the talking. It's easy to stay out of trouble but some people prefer doing things the hard way.
@@Marker44 I might have been spending more time in the Philippines back then if I got into trouble but that's not much fun that way. I was raised to be respectful and by God that's the way that I always try to be.

You are correct. Make friends with and hang around and build a good reputation with Filipinos. Stay with your family and live well; do not get involved with all that mess. I am embarrassed for that. But look at our own country and how divided it is, that should be the impetus for avoiding for the most part, other expats.
America is divided over politics Philippines it usually not about U.S politics they seem to be talking about each other . i don't want to see anyone lose a income on u tube they count on or blacklisted with a wife and child who lives in Philippines
Filipinos are very polite, If you have a bad attitude or loose your temper. It will not help your situation. Dont bring your country with you when you come here, Its different and I believe in a good way. You must accept and adjust to the way of life here.
Just came across your videos a few days ago and found myself laughing, in a respectful manner because your comments reminded me of growing up in our Mother's house. Note that I said "Mother's house". At home she always made it clear that we live in HER house and as such, we had to obey her rules. She made it very clear that when we were grown and in our own place "WE RULE". The same applies to visiting and/or living in a foreign country. We must be respectful of their rules and culture, adapt to the host country. The second thing that struck me as funny was your talk about living in an around an Expat community. Why would one seek out a new place to live only to settle into an environment / community consisting of a majority of the very types of people you just moved away from. Doing so somewhat denies you many of the experiences of the new culture you are moving into. Granted, you will find some things very different from the culture you left but wasn't that a part of the consideration given in your decision to re-locate? As you stated in this video, even though you are not living in an Expat community, you have still developed friendships with some Expats living in the Philippines. To me, it appears you may have found the "HAPPY MEDIUM" living in your new culture while still retaining some of the amenities from the culture you left behind. Mama always told us that is called "HAVING THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS". Not many people are afforded that opportunity in life. ENJOY IT because when the day ends, you will sleep and awaken tomorrow to a new day. This day will be but a memory in your past to be cherished and remembered, hopefully with a smile.
Military people who live "on the economy" ... off of the base ... learn to adapt to the local ways. That's how some people are that move from the U S mainland will bring their issues, attitudes, baggage, dirty laundry, and innate behaviors to the Philippines and embarrass all of us to where we are stigmatized.

I think the only way the Philippines would kick out a foreigner for any type of drama is if that involves someone in the Philippines who is a powerful person or a government group or a political party. If it's just a couple other foreigners bickering and bantering at each other then i'm sure the Philippine authorities could care less about that. They have bigger fish to fry in other foreigners coming to the Philippines of bad intentions. For example, Chinese triads and Mexican cartel members looking to get involved in the drug trade and illegal gambling industry. They have pedophiles and sex offenders trying to come in from the West. They even have ISIS trying to get in to start terror cells in Mindanao. So they have much much bigger fish to fry.

Tim K is a mess. So insulting.
I watch these videos cuz I'm 45yr old retired army veteran and I'm ready to take a few years traveling on a ok budget as a semi recent widower a wife is not almost a option not again but the men talking about other men like high school girls is. So confusing to me.Have a fight night once a week or month put on some boxing gloves or kick box what ever cuz I'm sorry men should punch another man in face if there's a problem after fight get a beer together and end it. or he'll you might make a buddy after you fight and if your not healthy enough ,Shut the bell up or be a jerk were your origin copy from.my old brain is having trouble learning Thai language and the guy,s your talking about have turned me off the Philippines and I've never been, thanks for speaking about this because I truly don't get it and I'm glad some one is hoping to stop the bull spit, but with China looming Philippines shouldn't be seeing there would be allies acting like clowns,SORRY so long but glad someone's calling for the Puckett to end your in paradise if you can't enjoy it why be there anyway. G!ad I found this thank you....
Thanks for watching!
Lived here a long time, best advice is to stay away from other expats. Most yes most have issues and cannot leave their baggage behind. Just go with the flow, slow down it’s not anything like where you’re from. It’s beautiful and the people are very friendly and polite. We are guests here so act accordingly.
These people are not friendly.
More entitled than any other race.
