My dad was diagnosed with liver cancer here in the US and it was in the late stage already, i guess, i don’t want to ask the doctor how late. Doctor said that my dad will only have 2 months left. We took him back to the Philippines because that’s his last wish. He celebrated his 80th birthday there and after 1year, he passed. Praying for Juells.🙏

Doctors gave my mother at 74 years old 3 months to live. They had found 4 stage Linfoma cancer spread thru out her body, mostly in her liver. She's still alive and in good health. Indeed, there are many cases of Stage IV, fully metastasized liver and lung cancers that have gone completely into remission. Anita Moorjani is one, read: "Dying to Be Me". Dr. Gabor Mate in one of his videos mentioned a woman, a client of his, with Stage IV as well who fully healed from hers. What it takes, as far as I understand it, is a complete recontextualization of one's life. Other people have found similar healings through immense prayer and faith in God (and not just cancers, but every kind of healing as well.) Bless you on your journey dear brother, and know that there is hope for life and that your family will be well.

If jewels has achieve 40 credits, whether or not he’s 62+ he could still apply for SSDI, therefore he will have income that can be contributed to survivors for his family and his kids. Medicare therefore would also be provided for him. Has Jules considered that God bless you I understand your journey Jules.
His wife has to be a US citizen to qualify for survivor benefits and she have to be 60 yrs old .But his kids under 18 will receive SS benefits but it depends on his work history.He has to have 40 credits
Strong recommendation to follow this path. I also believe he mentioned cirrhosis which would make him eligible for disability and he can get Medicare/Medicaid. He also sounds like a possible candidate to receive a liver transplant. Rest assured there are no guarantees, but they've made significant headways in cancer research even in the last few years in the United States. Strong recommendation to buy the plane ticket, get back home. Get social security disability. And potentially receive life-saving treatment. I'm in the medical field, and I understand it's a long shot, but if you don't explore this option, you're relegating yourself to throwing in the towel when there still could be possible hope.

A terribly sad story here . . . . really difficult to fathom how this can happen to someone who's still young, but unfortunately it does happen. I just watched some of the videos on Juells' channel, and he certainly does have a wonderful family. That's the thing he can be most proud of.

He has some beautiful kids, i remember him when things were different. His wife is a very strong person, she can adapt to any country. He puts his kids first always and dedicated his life for his kids and if it is short, he gave them quality time that will last a life time.
I remember a certain politician in the Philippines back in the 90s had a liver cancer. Went here in the US and had a liver transplant through his son. He still pass after a few months

If he had paid 10 years to social security program, he is eligible to apply for social security disability. His date of onset of his disability is the date his doctor determined he can no longer work or run his business for 12 months or 1 year. He should file now while he can.,.

My heart goes out to Juells and his family throughout this rough time. As we all know life can be be very unfair at times with no guarantees in life. While watching this video my eyes became watery. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts.
I would strongly recommend second opinion in USA. Cirrhosis is considered a disability which opens up avenues to social security disability/Medicare. I understand it's probably metastatic but the USA has many ground breaking cancer treatments. Many people have been told it was over to seek help elsewhere and find that is not true. It's worth a shot if only a small amount of debt is accumulated. I do respect jules feelings but if there's even a chance, i would gather it's worth the gamble. The sooner the better as well.
While not denying the tragedy of the last year and coming year I have to say I am incredibly impressed with his planning and resolve. He is doing all the right things under the worst of circumstances. His message is to be prepared but in the end you really can't prepare for this. All you can do is soften the blow.
Holy God. This is extremely scary. And sad. I don't think I can finish watching this. Poor guy. Yes he's right though. Everyone has to face death at some point but I'm sure it's never easy - a complete understatement. I wish him strength and luck.

Paul, after your most recent update vlog on Juells' status, I had to watch this vlog again. It takes a real man to face what he is facing and is still worried about his family. There has been some time since your update vlog, I hope that he is getting the meds he needs so there is no pain and he will be surrounded by his family and all his friends.....with you right there with them through it all.
I know you said no advice but he could apply for SSDI (b4 62) as they have an expeditious filing avenue for cancer and possibly get back pay to the date of his disability. Also, his spouse can apply for his benefit after he passes. If he is approved SSDI he can qualify for Medicare within 24 months.

Pets have short lives compared to us, and we have short lives compared to the planet. All we can do is make the best of what we can while we're here. We can never do more than that.
I know there are lots of people who advocate self insuring. But as Juells story shows If you get an illness like cancer or you need something like a major organ transplant or major surgery it's still something that can wipe you out unless you're a millionaire with lots of liquidity self insurance is a huge gamble. And when most people say they will self insure they're thinking if a major operation costs $10,000 i will save $20,000 for a buffer. But they not thinking about the transportation costs to fly somewhere for treatment. They're not thinking of the accommodation costs if you have to stay for treatment outside your home town. Nor do we really know how much medecine we may need will cost. I definitely would need some sort of health insurance to feel comfortable because this is scary.
Even with insurance, you have to pay all the bills upfront and then try to collect reimbursement from the health insurance company. Likely, the insurance company will then decided how much and if they will pay.

If jewels has achieve 40 credits, whether or not he’s 62+ he could still apply for SSDI, therefore he will have income that can be contributed to survivors for his family and his kids. Medicare therefore would also be provided for him. Has Jules considered that God bless you I understand your journey Jules.
His wife has to be a US citizen to qualify for survivor benefits and she have to be 60 yrs old .But his kids under 18 will receive SS benefits but it depends on his work history.He has to have 40 credits
@@anneb3170she doesn't have to be a citizen. As long as she spent a total of 5 years as a lawful resident in the U.S. she's eligible.

Strong recommendation to follow this path. I also believe he mentioned cirrhosis which would make him eligible for disability and he can get Medicare/Medicaid. He also sounds like a possible candidate to receive a liver transplant. Rest assured there are no guarantees, but they've made significant headways in cancer research even in the last few years in the United States. Strong recommendation to buy the plane ticket, get back home. Get social security disability. And potentially receive life-saving treatment.
I'm in the medical field, and I understand it's a long shot, but if you don't explore this option, you're relegating yourself to throwing in the towel when there still could be possible hope.

A terribly sad story here . . . . really difficult to fathom how this can happen to someone who's still young, but unfortunately it does happen. I just watched some of the videos on Juells' channel, and he certainly does have a wonderful family. That's the thing he can be most proud of.

I remember a certain politician in the Philippines back in the 90s had a liver cancer. Went here in the US and had a liver transplant through his son. He still pass after a few months

Very very sad to hear that Juells has passed. What a zest for life this man had. I’m sure you guys have considered all of this, but Juells’ wife and probably the two youngest kids qualify for social security survivors benefits. They should contact social security immediately. My best to all.

If he had paid 10 years to social security program, he is eligible to apply for social security disability. His date of onset of his disability is the date his doctor determined he can no longer work or run his business for 12 months or 1 year. He should file now while he can.,.
It's good that there is a SSA office in Manila and hopefully the office staff there can assist him well if he is eligible to draw SSDI benefits.
Paul more medals are on the way. The courage this man has is immeasurable, the vision for his family is off the charts within his means. I will send many prayers in that direction as I can. Thank you paul to shedd light on this family as the turmoil they will have to endure will be ultimately tragic. Hope not! May god be with them, and know we all will be together soon! I would strongly recommend second opinion in USA. Cirrhosis is considered a disability which opens up avenues to social security disability/Medicare. I understand it's probably metastatic but the USA has many ground breaking cancer treatments. Many people have been told it was over to seek help elsewhere and find that is not true. It's worth a shot if only a small amount of debt is accumulated. I do respect jules feelings but if there's even a chance, i would gather it's worth the gamble.
The sooner the better as well.
While not denying the tragedy of the last year and coming year I have to say I am incredibly impressed with his planning and resolve. He is doing all the right things under the worst of circumstances. His message is to be prepared but in the end you really can't prepare for this. All you can do is soften the blow.

Paul, after your most recent update vlog on Juells' status, I had to watch this vlog again. It takes a real man to face what he is facing and is still worried about his family. There has been some time since your update vlog, I hope that he is getting the meds he needs so there is no pain and he will be surrounded by his family and all his friends.....with you right there with them through it all.

I know you said no advice but he could apply for SSDI (b4 62) as they have an expeditious filing avenue for cancer and possibly get back pay to the date of his disability. Also, his spouse can apply for his benefit after he passes. If he is approved SSDI he can qualify for Medicare within 24 months.

I know there are lots of people who advocate self insuring. But as Juells story shows If you get an illness like cancer or you need something like a major organ transplant or major surgery it's still something that can wipe you out unless you're a millionaire with lots of liquidity self insurance is a huge gamble. And when most people say they will self insure they're thinking if a major operation costs $10,000 i will save $20,000 for a buffer. But they not thinking about the transportation costs to fly somewhere for treatment. They're not thinking of the accommodation costs if you have to stay for treatment outside your home town. Nor do we really know how much medecine we may need will cost.
I definitely would need some sort of health insurance to feel comfortable because this is scary.
Even with insurance, you have to pay all the bills upfront and then try to collect reimbursement from the health insurance company. Likely, the insurance company will then decided how much and if they will pay.
