I'm so glad you had such a good experience with Ben and Kapama too - good for others to know it's consistently good! He's such a wonderful guide and, truly, his knowledge is incredible - it's amazing how much you can learn and experience in just a few days :)
Oh my goodness. Well done Matt and Phoebe. This one is so special. I really teared up watching such majestic beasts in their natural state. The lion brothers had me in a puddle. You just don’t see that everyday. Wow. Wow. Wow. Great work!

Thanks for the Journey.. I was in Africa for the migration a few years back and it was one of the most magical things I have ever experienced. I completely understand the emotion that you feel seeing and experiencing seeing these amazing animals up close in person. The smells, sounds and people of Africa make my heart swell. Everyone should have this privilege once in a lifetime.
Wonderful! We're heading back to Africa (Namibia and Botswana) in June, and your video just makes us more excited! We we South Africa and Botswana in 2019, and it was the trip of a lifetime. Enjoy your time adventures!
I'm South African, and this showed just how beautiful our country is. Literally on my top 3 safari vlogs ever. Thanks for the great commentary Phoebe, and for the visuals Mat. Gonna watch your Cape Town vlog next.
Wow, those animal shots were amazing. Those brother lions remind me of my dogs, being affectionate and playful. Thanks, Phoebe, I've been watching your channel for a while now, and I just love some of the places you visit and some of the food you eat looks sooo good. It's my dream to travel one day too! I just started following your channel! This is the second safari video of yours I have watched, and I'm booking this camp right now!!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!
haha I hear you! I was scared at first too but the guides do an amazing job of giving you plenty of information as to why you're safe and keeping a very close eye on things at all times. After the first game drive, all our nerves disappeared! By the end of it, you're totally relaxed :) It's awesome!

Hi Phoebe and Matt, So sorry we missed the live chat earlier. Wow what a vlog. Harriet and I get emotional as well when we see animals do their thing in the wild. The bond between the two lion brothers triggered our emotions. It's something that Harriet and I have never done. It's a must do for us in the future. Thank You Phoebe and Matt for showing it to us. P.S. Phoebe, Were you as daring as Matt eating the food? Sending you lots of love💖💖 Harriet and Jim. Richmond, Va.
It really is emotional, huh! Those brother lions just reduced me to tears - it was so special. I remember feeling the same way the first time I saw a lion that close but I thought maybe it was just a thing you feel as a first-timer.... but I think it's just so special it's something you can't help but feel every time! Would love to see you both get out there on safari, I think you'd LOVE it. haha noooo, as a non-meat-eater I couldn't be quite as daring as Matt!
Great video you have great presentation skills. Had three trips to Africa but they have all been roughing it type of trips. Would love to do a luxury safari like this. I envy that leopard sighting. In 8 weeks I only saw two leopards and they were both about 100 yards from the road. I heard them and even found paw prints outside my tent one morning but they're so elusive. The five rhinos were in fact White Rhinos. You can tell by the 'wide' muzzle which is more suitable for grazing of grass. White is actually a distortion of the Afrikaan word for wide: Weiss. Black rhino have a narrower muzzle and prehensile lips that they use for browsing of shrubs etc. They are also more inclined to lead a solitary existence.

I’ve been on safari many times, just recently returned one week ago from Botswana and Zimbabwe. It is true that wildlife sightings are special, the animal behavior amazing. To experience the African bush has no words strong enough to describe the feeling, it must be felt. One thing is that I was told on one of my safaris that we were not to post on social media rhino sightings because it tips off the poachers as to their whereabouts. I’m surprised you were allowed to do so. I’ve been to Djuma in the Sabi Sands area and to Mabula Private Game Reserve in the Limpopo area. Also, your guide mentioned that hyena being the most successful carnivore. I disagree. I believe the painted dog is, hyena being a close second.
Hey Paula! You described it so well - it’s an incredible experience 😍 I’ve heard amazing things about safari in Botswana and Zimbabwe! Hope we get to visit one day soon too. Yes, I hear you on the rhino! Our first safari we were given info about poachers and social media so this time I was sitting back, not filming them and our guide told us it was okay because it’s a private game reserve and there’s a strong security presence - he just made sure not to share population numbers with the group. Pretty special trip, that’s for sure 😍 I’ve never seen a wild dog and it’s the animal I most want to see! So high on my life bucket list! ♥️♥️♥️
